Looks fine for an Easy diff, you followed vocals instead of beats and that makes this diff a bit weird, but the rhythm is consistent, so, it looks fine.

Looks a bit old-fashioned, looks nice, i really liked symmetrical patterns.
The issue is that i'm not really sure if it's good enough for ranking, it was 1 year ago, but today due to the quality requirement, many things could be improved, like rhythm, aesthetics and flow.

00:02:639 (2,1) - this antijump looks a bit odd, you didnt add another antijump like this on this section, it should be better if you avoid it.
00:17:527 - this tick should be followed, according to your pattern, you can hear something strong as 00:17:303, and it looks odd this it is skipped.
00:18:982 - same scenario as ^
00:33:087 (4,5,1) - align properly these objects if they were supposed to be aligned.
00:50:214 (2,3) - the 3/4 gap looks odd because this tick here 00:50:773 is audible, and it will be better if you add a note here.

04:02:191 (2,3) - a stack here looks out of place because you didn't stack any 1/2s on this section, plus, this tick 04:02:639 should be played, to emphasize the vocal.

Cool diff, there could be more density but it's a hard anyway. This diff plays well, flow is fine.

This set is not bad overall, just need more improvement on each diff.
If you want a remod/recheck i can do, but find more mods by experienced modders.

I'd have to disagree. I wanted to go as minimal as possible here to have a strong contrast from the chorus back to this calm part of the verse.

I did the repeat slider at the end since it's leading into a giant spinner. You get a better feeling of gliding into the spinner instead of snapping to circles. Having the first one as a repeat slider loses the percussion aspect of the two 1/2 circles after it.

Can you stay consistent with the other difficulties hitsounds.
The ones used in this difficulty are very jarring and normal-hitclap4 is annoying.
I preferred it over the clap sound in the other soundset. Any points where it's particularly jarring? I can edit those points down, but I found it to be good to my ears.

1. 00:08:908 (1) - While pretty your skipping a nice beat that is even mapped in the Easy. Considering you have three different mappers here, there's going to be a wide variance on interpretation. I probably wouldn't have mapped it in Easy had I done that level of difficulty since I favor longer sliders.
2. 04:08:908 (1) - Now it's time to make something pretty. Feel free to provide an example. I really wanted the curl motion here for the flow, but if you have a suggestion to maximize prettiness, I'm all ears. So to speak.
2. 04:10:251 - I think you should end it here and add a circle on the next 1/2. I wanted a heavier emphasis on the huge crescendo created by that whoosh sound at this point since it's pretty much the apex.
3. 04:19:430 (9) - Please keep the path of (7) and (8). 7 and 8 aren't even lined up to each other due to the angle. Its incrementally going upwards out of the line that the slider makes since I'd be out of room otherwise.

I really would prefer use of their hitsounds to keep consistency and also because the way this hitsound it in its tightness just doesn't fit with they type of style of hitsounding you're doing. Wish I could go into detail but, basically it just feels too overpowering to the point where its not meant for the song.

2. Honestly based on what you were mapping before and what was coming up after the slider. I thought you were mapping vocals. I understand now. However, I'd honestly switch to vocals mainly because it's kind of like: "woah wait this is a swoosh. oh..."

Looks fine for an Easy diff, you followed vocals instead of beats and that makes this diff a bit weird, but the rhythm is consistent, so, it looks fine. Thanks! The vocal follow is just a simple result of all the tests I did with beginners that have no background in rhythm games. They tend to follow vocals or simple beats while the majority thought vocal follow is "more interesting to play".

04:12:266 (3,1) - I am sure that hte spacing change here will trick newbies. I thing it was done by mistake as it feels really out of place and unexpected here.

So, it will have the "N" icon and it will fix the balance of the spread. // If you are unsure about the way to do it, begin with replacing 03:19:654 (2,3,4,5) and 03:29:505 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - - patterns like this one with sliders as they are much easier to hit and may drop the star rating.

As it may require remapping of some parts, I will not mod it for now. However, you are welcome to ask me to check this diff when/if you decide to simplify it. Alternatively, you can ask the host-mapper to get aanother guest Normal and have two Normal diffs. Keep that in mind, if you are sure that there is nothing you can do to make the diff easier.

01:07:788 (6,1) - I felt like the jump was exaggerated a bit. Even for a drop-off slider, the jump is still rather exaggerated. Consider doing something here to reduce the jump?
Note: 01:47:415 (9,1) - just the same here. You can reduce the DS of a few jumps to make the diff a bit easier. This is still a Hard diff, after all.
02:39:691 (2,3) - minor - probably you'd like to make (3) blankt (2) as this is what you did with a lot of similar patterns.

I just loved the diff a lot! It flows well, it is neat and the rhythm is interesting. You could work a bit more on jumps to make them more fitting/balanced, but I love the diff even as it is!

Overall, the diffs are cool. The main issue is the EHH spread, which is unbalanced.

Have you considered how the map fits with the other two in the set as a whole? The reason this Normal is a little harder than usual is due to the Hard being fairly difficult with it's more liberal use of rhythms and spacing. This map is designed to fit between a super-easy Easy and a borderline Insane Hard difficulty and I found it quite fair. Look beyond star ratings and see how it plays in the context of the set. If you find things that are unreasonable, then please point them out and we can work from there.

As for the parts you pointed out, I completely removed them without even putting in a slider and the star rating didn't budge. The calculation is weighted too heavily against velocity rather than rhythm, so easier maps suffer with very inaccurate star ratings. The part at 3:29 is the ending of a progression of the exact same rhythm three times in a row. I figure by then, the player knows what the rhythm is and will work to hit the circles fine.

Hmm in my tests a few years ago the only thing first time players couldn't handle at all were stacked circles. I'll consider it next time.

That is not true. The letter descriptions of the difficulties are just not fitting here:
1.3 -> 2.4 -> 3.4 is actually a very nice spread from the star ratings alone. If you look at the different nature of all three diffs it becomes even more obvious:

Easy (E) - low consistent spacing, evenly and slow paced, no stacks.
Normal (H) - low to medium spacing with some symmetry patterns, evenly but faster paced, stacks, no 1/4 hits
Hard (H) - organic spacing with minor jumps, different pacing for KIAI/nonKIAI, stacks, triplets and streams (1/4 hits)

It makes for a nice spread without overdoing it in a 4th, overmapped Insane (I) diff. I like the spread and I don't say this because I made a GD for this set

00:08:908 (1,2) - I think I've already pointed that out, but that might be tricky for beginners. I recommend you to avoid this kind of overlap.
Note: in case if you decide to change the stuff mentioned above, you might want to change 01:02:639 (1,3) - 02:25:027 (1,3) - these as well.
01:40:475 (4) - let's remove this circle to stress the vocals on the next slider? Morever, the location of this circle is a little uncomfortable, as it appears right behind (2).
Note: 03:02:863 (4) - 04:07:341 (4) - and I guess these can be removed as well.
01:53:684 (3,4) - 00:31:296 (3,4) - spacing is inconsistent here. A minor curve like this would fix the DS issue and keep things neat.

Try OD and HP 6 or at least 5,5 instead. It'll improve the balance and make diff a little more challenging and enjoyable.

I had played with rearranging things around, because I get your point, but I felt that stacks conveyed the best kind of slowness that I wanted to keep that section distinctly different in style compared to 02:07:117 (1) - when the music starts to pick back up. Of course it hasn't fully picked back up, so you feel a ghost of the previous part at 02:12:042 (2,3,4,5) - and finally when the drum kit finally gets a say in things, I reflect that with thicker rhythms at 02:14:281 -

1/4 sliders like 03:57:266 (3) - are still quite quiestionable to me, because they are too short and feel a little out of the diff. Are you sure you want to keep them? I saved them for the end to give that final chorus something special, but if you insist, I can change it up no problem.

I also adjusted a spacing error at 04:12:490 (1) - due to the slider velocity change.

Wjy don't we rename the set to Beginner/Advanced/Challenging? The suggested diffnames seem to fit better. depends on Kite. I would support that as well.

Note: in case if you decide to change the stuff mentioned above, you might want to change 01:02:639 (1,3) - 02:25:027 (1,3) - these as well. personally I still think the snaking end is not really a problem here as it is not hidden for very long.
01:40:475 (4) - let's remove this circle to stress the vocals on the next slider? Morever, the location of this circle is a little uncomfortable, as it appears right behind (2).
Note: 03:02:863 (4) - 04:07:341 (4) - and I guess these can be removed as well. good point. changed for all 3.
01:53:684 (3,4) - 00:31:296 (3,4) - spacing is inconsistent here. A minor curve like this would fix the DS issue and keep things neat. okay okay. I intended to have a little extra emphasis on the vocals with the slight spacing change. Fixed both.
