    Test play for Normal Difficulty

    Comments: Smooth game-play, appropriate slider velocity, AR, HD, OD and CS and style is pretty good. There's one part where I thought it can be a questionable placement which was 01:11:565 (1,2) - , maybe it could be like 00:46:667 (1,2) - ?. Felt fine for me since I experienced these quite a lot but never really seen one like this in normal difficulty (Can be wrong). I would say keep it for now and if you do run into a experienced modder or multiple modder pointing this out then do reconsider this. Overall I say this looks good and thought this was acceptable to be a normal difficulty, though leaning a bit towards hard. Check to see if some are still not fixed, this is a bit outdated. Sorry

I don't think I can do much, cause all difficulties look great already, but I'll try. >o<

[Easy]
this looks fine to me, it has a really nice flow and looks well thought-out. >v<
just some points where you might want to alternate the placing/slider shapes a bit:
  1. 00:58:912 (3) - move more to the left to have a nicer curve from 1 to 2 to 3, the movement feels less abrupt that way
  2. 01:00:545 (4,1) - there is no connection at all ><
  3. 01:03:810 (3,4) - movement from 3 to 4 doen't feel as smooth as for example 00:09:933 (3,4,1) or 01:15:239 (1,2)
  4. 01:05:443 (1,2,3) - if you don't place them linear but slightly curvy this does have a smoother feeling as well, it matches better with the sliders before and after imo
  5. 01:08:708 (1) - looks better if you keep that 'perfect distance' here and place the slidertail at a distance of 1,1 to 01:07:076 (4) as well
    something similar here - 01:11:157 (3) - place it either around 384|172 or at the end of 01:10:341 (2) around 452|236
[Normal]
this diff's totally fine as well. D: nuffin to mod here, just soething cause of personal taste:
  1. 00:25:443 (2,3) - together those two look.. so unmatching. x:
    maybe move it to 456|288? looks better imo ><
  2. 00:31:157 (1) - I know this is the exact same shape as 00:29:525 (4) but cause it's shorter it looks like there's something missing. >:
  3. 01:03:810 (3,4,5,1) - form a curve with all of them? 1 looks 'excluded' atm

the same goes for letterboxing.. I'm not sure if it has to be the same in every diff, though.. can't remember. Dx

just some personal taste suggestions here as well. ;v;
  1. 00:13:606 (2,3) - bend them in the other directions? looks better if they create a path imo.
  2. 00:16:055 (4,5) - have a nicer feeling if you move them to (example) 72|288 and 160|288, cause it forms a zigzag pattern with the sliders before and after (and I like that.. :D)
    I know 00:17:280 (2) isn't at the same place as 00:16:259 (5) then, but it still looks nice. ;o;
  3. 00:22:586 (4,5) - similar thing here if you move them to 344|236 and 286|153
  4. 00:41:361 (2) - you could reverse this. (not to add extra jumps but it looks nice if two sliders from oppsoite direction move to the same spot.. or at least I think so. |D)
  5. 00:47:484 (1,2,3) - looks nice imo, it messes up the following though.. you could move 00:48:912 (5) to where 00:47:892 (2) starts, then it'd kinda has a similar style, buuuut Idk. x:

  1. 00:06:055 (5,7) - move 5 to 76|180 and 7 to 96|88 ? the curve that's created with 00:06:259 (6) and 00:06:667 (1) looks smoother that way
  2. 00:20:137 (7) - doesn't have the same distance to 00:20:443 (8) and 00:19:831 (6) .. move to 156|80?
    sorry, I notice some pixel inregularities by eye and just have to point that out. my kind of perfectionism. x:
    same here - 01:27:076 (3) - move to 296|40?
  3. 00:37:688 (1,2,3) - you've been using three sliders of the same kind (angular/curvy) up till now, why not here? .o.

Set Widescreenstoryboard to 0 for Easy and Insane - not a big deal, but if there is no storyboard there shouldn't be a reason for this to be at 1. Alternatively, you can change this in Editor Mode under Song Setup -> Design Tab -> Uncheck Widescreen Support

[Easy]
01:02:178 (1) - add finish on slider head for more emphasis on kiai ; Could probably make a delicious slider here to fit vocals and a clap in the music at the curve very nicely like this. (There are also several other places you can use this slider for and would fit really nicely.)

01:08:708 (1) - adding a finish on slider head sounds pretty nice here

01:16:055 (2) - remove finish maybe? Personally I don't think it fits well, but up to you.

[Normal]
00:09:933 (3) - Could look at lot nicer if you rotate selection center by 15 degrees clockwise, and distance snap 00:10:749 (4) to blanket with it, then rotate 00:11:157 (5) by 25 degrees clockwise using selection center as origin, and then dist. snap. Would look something like this.
00:44:831 - I think if you add a note here, and move the slider to start at 00:45:035 it would fit the music pretty nicely.

This difficulty seems to have a lot of Whistles o: pretty unique hitsounding, but you may want to take some of them out since it's hard to notice some of them and make it seem kind of pointless to have it on almost every note in the map. Other than that, I like what you're trying to do with the hitsounding, just lay low on the whistles a little bit and it'll be good.
00:30:341 (3,4) - the double here doesn't really fit that well with the music. maybe remove circle and bring slider back one tick?
00:57:280 (1,2,3) - you could use a Normal sampleset for this section to provide more emphasis.

  1. I'm quite questioned about the use of soft-sliderslide3. Do you really need it?
  2. Enabling Widescreen Support isn't necessary as there is no storyboards present on this map. Please consider disabling it.
[Easy]
  1. Optional suggestion, but I recommend to set the Overall Difficulty to 2 so the OD spread between the other difficulties remains consistent.
  2. 00:18:096 (1) - Consider ending this spinner at 00:20:443 (1) since the synths ends here. Similar to what you did in the last spinner. If suggested, remember to adjust the timing section at 00:20:545 if necessary.
  3. 00:27:892 (1) - I can hear a soft cymbal sound at the head of this slider. It would be nice if you can emphasize it the a soft-finish (at a lower volume maybe) at the start of this slider.
  4. 00:44:218 (1) - Optional suggestion, but you can alternatively replace this slider with a spinner ending at the same spot as the current slider. This is so the combos afterwards will be more consistent with the vocal lines. :3
  5. 00:52:382 (2) - About this slider, the green timing section at 00:53:198 causes the sliderslide sound to mute (You can check this by simply going to View > Voulme and set the music to 0%). To fix this issue, you have to first set the hitsound volume back to 60% for that timing section. If you want a silenced slider tick, then add a muted soft-slidertick4 (or normal-slidertick4) file in your map folder and set the sample to be S:C4 or N:C4 for that timing section. That's the only way to fix this issue.
[Normal]
  1. Alarido's Normal is very well-mapped and well-structured. Excellent job on the design. Nothing much to really point out.
  2. Did Alarido made this difficulty? If so, consider re-naming the difficulty to Alarido's Normal. I'm fully aware that you added one in the map description, but it's easier to know who made each difficulty.
  3. 00:20:953 (1) - Why is this timing section here, when you are not even using it? Consider removing this timing section.
  4. 00:24:627 (1,3) - It would be nice if you add timing sections at the slidertick of these sliders to manipulate the sound of the slidertick to sound like your claps. Of course this is optional. :3
  5. 00:35:239 (1) - This new combo is not necessary as the notes are following the same vocal sections. Consider removing this combo.
[Hard]
  1. Simliar to Normal, did iyasine made this difficulty? If so, consider re-naming the difficulty to iyasine's Hard. Again, I'm aware that you added one in the map description, but it's easier to know who made each difficulty.
  2. 00:01:770 (1,2) - This pattern can be somewhat confusing for some players because of the next slider is stacked with the end of the previous slider and it's 1/2 beats apart (instead of 1/4 beats apart) from each other. Try reverse selecting slider 2 for a better readability. However, if you don't like my suggestion, feel free to keep it as it is still playable.
  3. 00:16:463 (1,2) - Personally, I prefer if both of these sliders ware the same, to indicate that both of these sliders are emphasizing the same musical pattern. Try copy-pasting 00:16:463 (1) with the next slider. Similar concept as what you did at the next musical section at 00:18:096 (1,2,3,4). An alternate way to do is that you can blanket 00:17:280 (2) with 00:16:055 (4) for a more polished slider pattern.
  4. 00:36:871 (3) - This timing section is the main reason I was questioned about the use of soft-sliderslide3. Do you really need this file? It sounds exactly the same as the previous timing section and you didn't use it for anything. I would remove this timing section including the one at 00:37:280.
  5. 00:44:218 (1,2,1) - This pattern is not a nice way to end the vocal sections. A better way to end this vocal section is to add a note here (or an extra 1/1 slider, possibly copy-pasting the previous slider) and start the spinner at 00:45:034 instead (ending at the same spot as the current spinner).
  6. 00:47:892 (2,3) - Eh, rather than using a linear slider at 00:47:892 (2), it would be better to curve this slider to create an oval-flow slider pattern. Here is an example:

  7. 01:02:178 - 01:27:381 (2): The contrast is inconsistent during this kiai section as the hitsound voulmes varies from 50% to 70% at parts when the music did not call for it. It would be better to just set all the volumes to around 70% ~ 80%. It would also sound more lively if you use N:C1 or N:C2 claps instead, but that's up to you. :3
[Insane]
  1. 00:00:137 (1) - Optional, but I prefer if you end this spinner at 00:01:361 and start the song with a note at 00:01:769. My main reason for this suggestion was to be consistent with Hard difficulty (similar to how Easy and Normal was consistent when the first note was placed at this same spot).
  2. 00:27:892 (1) - Same suggestion as Easy. "I can hear a soft cymbal sound at the head of this slider. It would be nice if you can emphasize it the a soft-finish (at a lower volume maybe) at the start of this slider."
  3. 00:28:708 (4,5,1) - This flow feels awkward because of this slider at 00:29:321 (1). Consider reverse selecting this slider for a better flow with the surrounding notes. Also, about this linear slider at 00:28:708 (4), I would curve this slider upward and adjust accordingly for a better transition with the next notes. Here is an example of what you can do:
  4. 01:20:137 (1,2,3) - Ewww! This pattern feels very awkward, because of the way you overlapped with the next note. Consider angling the next slider a few degrees clockwise to improve flow and readability with this pattern. If suggested, you may have to re-adjust slider 3 accordingly.
Good map overall. There are some work to be done, but please don't give up! Just keep up with the mods and your map will be ranked before you know it! ^_^

00:40:545 (6,7,1) - This triple stack kinda break the flow imo ► Not necessarily a flow break, it's more likely a flow stop (like a bus along its path). It feels no enough space to 'spread' the notes (like in a small 1/2 stream) too. Kept in a while.
01:24:218 (4,5,1) - Maybe something like this will be better ► It seems you have an outdated version of the diff (as you might downloaded at right time when the map was moved into pendings area). For example, usually I download the map right before modding. Don't need worry :3 if you already downloaded a map, you can update it by clicking in a pulsating text at the left of the selected diff (when playing or editing).
