Just giving some quick tips to improve your map:

- Mapping is all about being creative! Try doing some cool triangles or square or star shapes with your circles. This also increases the player's experience while playing your map. If you take a look at some of your favorite maps you'll realize that they use a lot of pattern variations instead of a straight line consisting of circles. Same applies to sliders by the way. Use different slider angles and curves and make everything more dynamic.

- You should mostly use the new combo feature on those big white ticks in your timeline. For example this:

- Using the Distance Snap correctly is vital in the ranking process. Generally you want to have the Easy/Normal diffs to strictly follow the Distance Snap while the Hard/Insane diffs get some more freedom.

- Use the "Tiny Grid" by pressing G to place circles/sliders more precisely. -> also increases the accuracy of the Distance Snap.

- If you plan to keep on mapping, you have to make an Insane Diff sooner or later. The only thing I can tell you is to not overuse jumps (jumps = ignoring Distance Snap and creating huge space between circles/sliders).

Overall, the DS in this diff looks to small. All your objects appears really crowded together, so it's actually more hard for players to read them, then to actually having them placed apart.
OD and HP Drain rate -1, it doesn't need to be that high.

As for the slider velocity (SV), after you've fixed the timing please change it to 1.40 - Or keep it as it is.

All the things you mentioned seem normal for a hard difficult, unless I'm missing something. If I am let me know, as this is my first beatmap afterall. Applying to easy, and to an extent normal, I understand, but for hard I thought this stuff was okay? No?

Well, came to mod as I requested a M4M on your queue.
I'll give some suggestions for Easy and Normal in my Overview, and will mod in-depth Hard, since I don't have much time.
If you want a recheck, try to look for my queue when I open it.

[General]

  1. Well, from what I could see when playing your mapset, map's flow's a bit ankward... To understand what I'm talking about, read this guide. If you can understand that guide, you'll be able to enhance your map. And flow's very important in mapping, so try to understand those terms to make nice diffs!
  2. I'll also give you some guide to make nice sliders: I recommend you read it.
  3. You make a lot of elements on your map overlap. What I'm saying? You place some slider or a circle below a slider trajectory. It shouldn't be done unless made in some fancy way, so check every diff for this kind of problem. I mention some of those in Hard mod, but not all of them, so analize this carefully.
[Hard]

  1. 00:29:086 (1,2,3,4,5) - When you map this class of elements, it's possible to give them some trajectory to make playing the pattern a little more fun. Just make sure the elements follow the trajectory. Hm... since this seems confusing, I'll give you an example:
    Open me, please!
    It isn't that obvious, but (1,3,5) are stocked while (2,4) are going in some clock-wise trajectory.
    You have other combos like this one, and I really don't want to mention them all. Well, you decide if you want to change those combos, since you're the mapper.
  2. 00:31:365 (1,2) - Make those sliders more broad open, since that shape isn't that visually appealing.
  3. 00:41:618 (4,5,6) - Separe those elements, so that they won't overlap like that.
  4. 00:42:377 (6) - For those kind of wave sliders, the points need to make some "S"-like thing in the center. You have the idea, but you don't really made it. Try to make it like this:
  5. 00:43:517 (1,3) - You should stack those notes properly.
  6. 00:46:555 (5) - Move this so that it doesn't overlap with previous slider. You can increase or disable DS while doing so.

General
- You seem to use a lot of linear-curve sliders in your map. I think introducing more bezier-curve sliders would make things a lot more pleasing to look at. The mod above me has a link to making some better looking sliders and techniques you can do with them.
- I would also pay attention to the map flow, especially on the easier difficulties. Another link is available in the previous mod.
- I would recommend getting into the habit of using Grid Size 4.
- You can generate a series of circles in a specific shape at perfect distances apart using the Create Polygon Circles feature (Ctrl+Shift+D). This is only used as a template for making shapes and you can move and rotate the entire shape later, as well as drag the timings of the circles across the timeline later.
- Edit: I know you like those 'butterfly' overlaps, so I tried removing the mods where I tell you to get rid of them. I might've left some though that I missed. I did leave ones where I still think you should sort of the overlap, for example when the slider head/tail is overlapped. Those are the sorts of overlaps i recommend avoiding.

Easy
I think the slider velocity is too high for this difficulty. I would reocmmend toning it down since your have to keep in mind that beginners will be playing this difficulty. This would mean you would have to redo most of your sliders.

- 00:26:428 (1) - This slider doesn't look very good in my opinion. It looks like somone tried to draw a straight line on paper without a ruler. Try to make the waviness more prominent.
- 01:34:782 (1,2,3) - The flow of this formation can be improved. Try to position it so that moving from one slider to the other is more more smoother and more natural. The mod above me has a link about flow, so I won't say too much else.
- 01:38:200 (1,1,1,1) - Do these all have to be on a new combo?
- 01:46:175 (1,2,3) - These aren't all level with each other. Note how slider 2 is slightly higher than 1 and 3. I would also position them so that they are not touching eachother if possible.
- 01:57:567 (3,4,5,6) - The flow here can be improved.
- 02:09:719 (1,2,3) - Moving 1 to 357:124 and 3 to 320:161 would make a better triangle.
- 02:58:706 (3,4,1,2) - These aren't in line with each other. 4 is slightly further to the left than 3 and 1, and 2 is further to the right.
- 03:01:744 (4,1) - The flow can be improved here. Also avoid having the slider overlap other circles.
- 03:14:846 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,3,4,1) - These are all off polarity and is very awkward to play. (Relevant.) Since this is an Easy difficulty, you should consider red ticks and white ticks as seperate polarity levels.
- 03:25:289 (1) - A double-revserse slider of this length is kind of awkward to play and not very easy to read. I would recommend changing this.
- 03:27:567 (1,2) - These are not in line.

Normal
- 00:27:567 (2,3,1) - The flow here can be improved.
- 00:35:922 (1) - This slider is slightly skewed to the right. Moving the red slider point with grid snapping disabled (hold shift) should fix this. Also, as said before, double-repeating sliders of this length are awkward to play. I noticed that you've copied this to other places in the map; I would try fixing those ones aswell.
- 00:40:858 (3,4,5,6,7) - This star formation can be improved, and looks hand-made. It is irregular as it seems 'flattened' and circle 3 isn't centred.
- 01:30:605 (1) - Another one of these double-repeaters. This one is also skewed slightly to the left.
- 01:51:111 (1,2) - These sliders are skewed.
- 01:54:149 (2) - Same as above.
- 02:00:605 (1,2,3,4) - I would seriously reconsider the formation of these sliders. Look at the shape they made >_<
- 02:22:441 (5) - This triple-repeating slider came unexpectedly and threw me off my first playthough. It has the same affect as those double-repeaters.
- 02:23:770 (1,2,3) - Line these up better, or even better would be to make an equilateral triangle.
- 02:40:479 (5) - This isn't quite lined up.
- 02:47:504 (1,2,3) - The polarity switches are very off-putting.
- 02:49:213 (1,2,3,4,5) - This star can be improved.
- 03:04:593 (1) - Another one of these repeating sliders. I think you could map something better than just one of these.
- 03:05:922 (1,2,3) - This doesn't seem to fit with the music on my opinion.
- 03:09:719 (2,3,4) - This triangle can be improved so it is regular, although I don't think this fits with the music either.
- 03:11:998 (2,3,4) - Same as above.
- 03:13:896 (1,2) - This isn't lined up.
- 03:16:175 (1,2,3) - This triangle can be improved.
- 03:29:846 (1,2,3,4) - This square is slightly skewed.

Hard
There seems to be a lot of dead space in this map which could be mapped, for example 00:43:896 and 00:48:074. You're not restricted to only mapping to the vocals; try to keep the rhythm flowing rather than it suddenly stopping at times.

- 00:20:352 (3,4) - These are very slightly not quite parallel.
- 00:22:630 (2,3) - Same as above.
- 00:26:048 (6) - Stack this perfectly with the slider tail of 00:25:099 (4).
- 00:32:884 (4,5,6) - This triangle can be improved.
- 01:11:998 (4,7) - Avoid the overlap here.
- 01:11:998 (4,5,6,7) - The slider tail of 4 is not making a perfect square with the rest of the combo.
- 01:23:390 (1,2) - Try and avoid this overlap.
- 01:26:808 (5,6,7,8) - Stack these up perfectly.
- 01:40:289 (5,6) - Try and avoid this overlap, or atleast avoid it overlapping the slider tail circle of 6.
- 01:46:175 (2,3,4) - This triangle can be improved.
- 01:47:314 (5,6,7,8,9) - This star can be improved.
- 01:57:947 (3,5) - Try and avoid these overlapping.
- 02:01:365 (1,2,3,1) - This square can be improved. Pay attention to the co-ordinates.

- 02:05:162 (2,3) - These aren't perfectly parallel.
- 02:11:998 (1,2) - Copy and paste one of these so they're the exact same shape.
- 02:13:517 (3) - Avoid the overlap with 02:11:998 (1,2).
- 02:22:441 (2,3) - Avoid this overlap with the heads and tails.
- 02:36:301 (1,2,3,4,5) - This star can be improved.
- 02:43:137 (1) - You can afford to narrow the gap between spinners and notes on harder difficulties. Map the dead space after it.
- 02:49:972 (4) - More of these double-repeating sliders.
- 02:54:339 (1,2,3) - Change how these are spaced, and then keep it consistent with the rest of the combo. The stack with 1 and 2 made me think it was the same timing as with 2 and 3, and made me slider break.
- 03:00:605 (1) - This slider is skewed.
- 03:04:593 (1,2,3,4,5) - This pentagon can be improved.
- 03:15:225 (2,3) - Avoid this overlap.
- 03:37:820 (1) - Remove the new combo.

- Edit: I know you like those 'butterfly' overlaps, so I tried removing the mods where I tell you to get rid of them. I might've left some though that I missed. I did leave ones where I still think you should sort of the overlap, for example when the slider head/tail is overlapped. Those are the sorts of overlaps i recommend avoiding. Thanks. I think the slider velocity is too high for this difficulty. I would reocmmend toning it down since your have to keep in mind that beginners will be playing this difficulty. This would mean you would have to redo most of your sliders. Haha, I was afraid of this. Imma go back and slow it down. Thanks for confirming my suspicion. Since ill be changing the sliders, know that all your slider mods will be taken into consideration, but I have to do a bit of heavy modding to fix the new distances.

- 00:26:428 (1) - This slider doesn't look very good in my opinion. It looks like somone tried to draw a straight line on paper without a ruler. Try to make the waviness more prominent. ^
- 01:34:782 (1,2,3) - The flow of this formation can be improved. Try to position it so that moving from one slider to the other is more more smoother and more natural. The mod above me has a link about flow, so I won't say too much else. Done.
- 01:38:200 (1,1,1,1) - Do these all have to be on a new combo? They don't HAVE to, but since they are separated by so much time I found it helped with readability. If not, will certainly change.
- 01:46:175 (1,2,3) - These aren't all level with each other. Note how slider 2 is slightly higher than 1 and 3. I would also position them so that they are not touching eachother if possible. Fixed with the magic of Grid level 4.
- 01:57:567 (3,4,5,6) - The flow here can be improved. I'll see what I can do.
- 02:09:719 (1,2,3) - Moving 1 to 357:124 and 3 to 320:161 would make a better triangle. Done.
- 02:58:706 (3,4,1,2) - These aren't in line with each other. 4 is slightly further to the left than 3 and 1, and 2 is further to the right. Grid Level 4 ;)
- 03:01:744 (4,1) - The flow can be improved here. Also avoid having the slider overlap other circles. Noted
- 03:14:846 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,3,4,1) - These are all off polarity and is very awkward to play. (Relevant.) Since this is an Easy difficulty, you should consider red ticks and white ticks as seperate polarity levels. Funny that you mention this, as I had it normal before, but then I changed it to this. I have watched the video before, so I understand what you mean. Suppose I shouldn't do this in an easy. Will change.
- 03:25:289 (1) - A double-revserse slider of this length is kind of awkward to play and not very easy to read. I would recommend changing this. This slider is long and nothing overlaps. Doesn't seem hard to read at all. After the slider changes I may consider something else.
- 03:27:567 (1,2) - These are not in line. Done.

- 00:27:567 (2,3,1) - The flow here can be improved. Noted.
- 00:35:922 (1) - This slider is slightly skewed to the right. Moving the red slider point with grid snapping disabled (hold shift) should fix this. Also, as said before, double-repeating sliders of this length are awkward to play. I noticed that you've copied this to other places in the map; I would try fixing those ones aswell. I'll make them more even, but I disagree about being awkward to play as I've played plenty of maps with repeat sliders. They'll stay for now.
- 00:40:858 (3,4,5,6,7) - This star formation can be improved, and looks hand-made. It is irregular as it seems 'flattened' and circle 3 isn't centred. I think that comes from not knowing about the pattern thing. Will change since I know about that now.
- 01:30:605 (1) - Another one of these double-repeaters. This one is also skewed slightly to the left. ^
- 01:51:111 (1,2) - These sliders are skewed. Fixing.
- 01:54:149 (2) - Same as above. ^
- 02:00:605 (1,2,3,4) - I would seriously reconsider the formation of these sliders. Look at the shape they made >_< Meh, ill make it more curvy.
- 02:22:441 (5) - This triple-repeating slider came unexpectedly and threw me off my first playthough. It has the same affect as those double-repeaters. Noted, but will stay for now.

That's actually good to hear since I was more concerned with over mapping. Will add more.

Hello, I'm coming from your M4M queue.

There are extra osu files in the archive with txt at the end. It says in the file they are older formats, but I don't think you need those. If you know how to get rid of them, that would just clean things up a tiny bit

Timing is spot on, but in general I think beat placement isn't correct. A lot of spots don't make sense to me.

EASY:

I think the slider speed should be reduced. Seems to fast for this difficulty and song.

02:40:858 (1) - After the spinner, a lot of the beat placements seem random to me, and don't really fit in the song. This goes on up until the end.

NORMAL:

The spaces between beats is too far apart for most of the song and makes it really difficult to hit them oftentimes. Also the constant direction shifts make it hard to keep track of which way you're going.

Most of the reverses on sliders are really random and unexpected, and don't fit in with how most of the song is paced. Sometimes I expected them shorted like the rest of the sliders are, or longer because they end on the opposite side of where the next beat is.

03:04:592 (1) - The slider problem is especially noticeable near the end after this spot

HARD:

I'm not too good with hard difficulties, but from what I tried, the beats are really far apart for how quick the map is. The map is also going way too fast for the song, and a lot of the beats don't sound like they are part of the song. The parts where you have to jump back and forth about 4 times are really jarring and almost impossible to keep up with, most of the time I can't even tell what's happening until it passed

Thanks for the mod! Was certainly helpful. I enjoy 15, 45, and 90 degree angles so I put a lot of it into my mapping which does make it look different. Glad to see you enjoyed it.

[General]
  1. Use this for artist "まじ娘" and "majiko" (without capital M) for romanized artist. Source : http://utaite.wikia.com/wiki/Majiko (please note, since it's fanmade, it might be unreliable, ask more opinion from some other modders)
  2. Use this for title "ライア" and the romanized title part should be automatically filled with "Liar" and it should be fine that way.
  3. Remove commas from the tags since you only need space to separate each tags.
  4. You might want to add "utaite" and "cover" to the tags since it was sung by utaite and was a cover of a vocaloid song (make sure you don't include the quotation mark)
  5. Go to song setup -> design and disable (uncheck) the "Widescreen support" since it's only used if you have storyboard.
  6. It would be better if you use perfect widescreen size for background which is 1366x768 so you might want to enlarge it a bit then cut it.
  7. It would be better as well if you set the combo color to fit with the background more since the default colors seems too flashy compared to the background. You can do it by going to song setup -> colors and set the colors you want. For this, I suggest to use pastel colors because of the "dim" background like light blue, pink, light green, light yellow, white, or light grey. And try to make the colors consistent across the diffs.
  8. I think the kiai zone here 01:14:276 is pretty unnecessary since it's just like instrumental part that's not really big, it's also different from the other chorus part so it's feels kinda odd. If you want to make a bursting star, I suggest to just turn the kiai on a bit then turn it of again just right after like here 01:14:656 so you have a bursting star without having to make a kiai zone.

And with those note, this is the sequence of the emphasize it's causing (from most to less) : Slider's head>Circle>Slider's tail>Slider's reverse>Spinner. This map actually is pretty good considering this is your first map (I still remember how shitty my first map was, oh, don't even talk about it) but it still need much improvement before it's actually qualified enough to be ranked. Here's I'll explain your main problems. First, the rhythm. It seems that your rhythm is still too rigid, I mean, it's too focused on vocal and ignored the background sound (not really tho, you mapped some of the background sound, but still....) Try to be more flexible. And I think you ignored too many vocal notes on Hard xD. And don't forget about the emphasize stuff too ^. Second, the placing (including flow). Since you mainly use straight slider, the flow don't really goes free. Try to use more curved slider, a little jump for Hard, some antiflow maybe, some art slider and stuff. And there's still pretty much overlaps. Sometime, overlaps are good (since I used a lot of overlaps too, lol) but sometimes, overlaps are bad because it might cause confusion when playing, try to pay more attention on this.

Thanks for the mod. I don't think my usually response would be appropriate here since your mods are more general, but i'll look into the stuff (especially the red.) To note though, like Diasios, I'm not really into the 2015-16 mapping styles. Imo, they're really boring and all play too similarly (especially hard difficulties and below.) That's not to say I won't make mine better, but for me, as long as a map is readable, follows the rules, and most of the guidelines, I think everything should be fine. I know having this opinion will probably make it harder to get this ranked since many of the nominators are into that, but I'm okay with this :P. Like, you have maps like this getting ranked so I think with some more work I can still get this map ranked eventually.

Or maybe you read everything I just said and thought "This noob mapper scrub has no idea what he's talking about" lol. :cry:
