Are insane maps possible with strictly the mouse?

I don't have a tablet and I can't afford it. And I really want to eventually try the insane maps. (I'm a newbie and mostly have done the normal 3-4 star maps)

I saw Cookiezi play a map called The Big Black and that guy was a god. I've read in the youtube comments that it's impossible to do with a mouse alone.

There is a beatmap that I'd like to try like these

any and all maps are possible to do with mouse only. but if your gonna try, good luck with that. it's really really hard to do.

Yes (There's some Mouse-Only Players reach the Top #500 though)... But It's based on Skills actually (It might be harder to play Jumpy Map with Mouse, but rather easier with Mouse when It comes to Stream)... But You can try It If You want... but My Advice is, You should try to gradually move up by playing the Easier-Insane first then to Harder-Insane (Not torturing Yourself by playing Harder-Insane in Your First-Try before You play Easier-Insane)....
*Just don't play those 2 beatmaps before passing any Easier-Insane Map ;)
- Easier-Insane = 4-5 Stars Map (OD=<7 and AR=<8)
- Harder-Insane = 5+ Stars Map (OD>7 and AR>8)
+ I'm A Mouse+Keyboard Player, so It's kinda easier to play osu! rather than Mouse-only :roll:

EDIT : Is this supposed to be in 13 ?

OD = overall difficulty (timing to hit notes and how hard spinners are)
AR = approach rate (how fast the notes come at you)

you can find this out just by going to the editor and checking the difficulty slider bars if you'd like.

To answer your original question though, yes mouse players can do all the maps, some are just a pain to bother with.

A close friend of mine plays mouse-only, he does insane level songs just fine. If you get can get used to clicking fast enough then it's entirely possible, just needs practice.

Hardest thing is to do very fast streams that move alot (like, 220+bpm(freedom dive...)), but I doubt I would do any better with kb anyways. You just gotta remove mouse accel and have a sensitivity that fits your style.

depends on the mouse. with my old shitty one its impossible for me to fc insanes (i can pass some of them). with the good mouse i got now i can play like with tablet. a little bit worse, especially with quick jumps, but not a veeery great difference

I can play reasonably hard maps with a mouse. As long as the mouse has a nice shape and tracks well, mouse control should come fairly naturally.

If a map is supposedly a "tablet map," then it's almost certainly terrible and not worth your time.

i was assuming we were talking about mouse only since the title says strictly the mouse. if its mouse+kb then its even more possible, look at people like jappybabes and peachick.
