TOURNAMINT 4.5
--- First Invitational ---

~~~
Welcome to TOURNAMINT 4.5: First Invitational (also known as TOURNAMINT 4.5, TM4.5)!!!!
TOURNAMINT is back with an exciting new concept: we will be having a 1v1 raw skill tournament with players from teams which received 6th place or higher in either TOURNAMINT 3 or TOURNAMINT 3.0+1.0. Mappools will have maps entirely taken from TM3 and TM4 mappools with little to no adjustments.
~~~

The TOURNAMINT series will continue to stand opposite the current tournament meta of accuracy-based gameplay. This is a tournament that pushes the limits of every player, even the cream of the crop!

A few elements of the tournament have been restructured for TOURNAMINT 4.5. Please do not hesitate to ask questions!

Rules

Unless stated above, general traditional tournament rules apply; view below for more details.

  1. All registered players may play in the qualification stage, but the number of players that may advance past the qualification stage will be cut to the highest power of 2 less than the number of participating players. The maximum number of players that may advance past the qualification stage is 16.
  2. The qualification round will have a 6 song mappool that widely varies in skillsets tested. These tested skillsets will correspond to skillsets commonly seen in mappools throughout the tournament.
  3. Every player needs to play each map fully at least once on Score v2, with an opportunity to play all of them twice, in which the highest of the two runs on each qualifier map will be used to calculate their final score.
  4. Players will select qualifier lobbies based on their availability.
  5. Regardless of the number of entrants and eliminations, the qualification process will also be done to seed players. Players will be ordered based on their average score rating on all six songs, with the best average score rating being seed #1, and the worst average score rating being seed n; n being the number of players in the qualification stage.
  1. The bracket stage is a double elimination stage. This means that a player that is participating in this stage must lose two matches in this stage to be eliminated from the tournament.
  2. After the Qualification Stage, players will be seeded based on their performance in the Qualification Stage. The player with seed 1 will face off with seed n (n = lowest seed), seed 2 will face off with seed (n - 1), etc.
  3. In a winners bracket match, the player that meets the winning condition in a match will be declared the winner of the match and will move further into the bracket. The loser of the match will fall into the losers bracket.
  4. In a losers bracket match, the player that meets the winning condition in a match will be declared the winner of the match and will move further into the bracket. The loser of the match will be eliminated from the tournament.
  5. Players that are in the winners bracket are required to play in one match in each stage. The only exception to this is if the player is the sole player in the winners bracket in the Grand Finals stage, where the player is required to play in up to two matches if the player were to lose their first match in the Grand Finals stage.
  6. Players that are in the losers bracket at the start of the Round of 16 stage or further are required to play in two matches in a single stage. However, players that lose their first match in the losers bracket in those stages will no longer need to play in any further matches in the tournament, for they are eliminated from the tournament.
  1. Reschedules will only be considered if both players agree to a time; this needs to be done and notified to the tournament staff before Thursday at 23:59 UTC+0 in that particular week when the match takes place.
    Maps with a player disconnection that occurs within the first 30 seconds, or 25% of the song (whichever comes first) will be nullified and re-attempted.
  2. A player not showing up to a match indicates a forfeit, meaning the player that does show up wins the match. If both players do not show up after 10 minutes, the higher seeded player will be declared the winner.
  3. If staff has any reason to believe that a player intentionally avoided rescheduling with their opponent to get a free win by default, they may take action accordingly via disqualification of the player or reporting said player to tournament staff.
  1. Each player will be allowed one warmup to be played before each of their matches. All warmups must be osu!mania 4K specific beatmaps that are uploaded to the site, downloadable at the time of the match, and shorter than 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
  2. Warmups will be played on FreeMod.
  1. With the exception of warmups, all songs played in a given round must match those selectable in the corresponding mappool. NoFail, Mirror, Hidden, Fade In, and Flashlight are the only mods allowed to be used for these maps.
  2. Players are first to protect one map from being banned within the map pool that they are playing for the given round.
  3. Players are to ban one map within the map pool that they are playing for the given round.
  4. Plyers will be instructed to do a !roll command by the referee that is overseeing the match; the winning roll picks the first protected map, the losing roll picks the second protected map and the first ban, and finally the winning roll picks the second ban and the first song of the match.
  5. After the bans, protects and rolls have concluded, the player with the winning roll instructs the referee of their song selection, and the referee will switch to that song. After that song concludes, the other player will pick a song, and this process will continue until one of the two conditions is satisfied:
  1. One player has achieved enough wins in such a way that the other player cannot successfully win the round.
    - The winning player moves onto the next match.
    - The losing player falls to the losers bracket. If a player loses in the loser’s bracket, they are eliminated from the tournament.
  2. Both players are at match point at the same time.
    - Both players will play the song designated as the tiebreaker (this must be played on v2).
    - The winning player of the tiebreaker will progress to the next match of the tournament, while the losing player falls to the losers bracket. If a player loses in the loser’s bracket, they are eliminated from the tournament.
  1. Players are advised to be hasty when picking and not to stall for time, as they will be given a maximum of 2 minutes to choose a map in the mappool. As such, players should familiarize themselves with the round’s respective mappool before they play in their matches.
  2. If the beatmap ends in a draw, the game will be nullified and the beatmap will be replayed.
