Raiku here!

I have a few playability related suggestions that I think you may find mildly tasteful:

[Jenny's Extra]

00:22:809 - I find that when confronted with the idea of someone playing with hardrock, the flow is greatly interrupted with the implementation of an anomalous hitcircle at the end of this slidercombo, I went with the idea of continuity with this section by joining the first note of the next section to the end of the slider to improve the flow into the next combo! (http://puu.sh/5yxRU.jpg)

00:51:537 - I felt that instead of a pair of 2 stacks here, neat doubles that flow into the next section are more appropriate to help the map maintain a level of movement seen throughout the map prior to this! (http://puu.sh/5yxVI.jpg)

00:57:131 - Similarly to before, but in this section. I really feel it adds variety to this section and helps maintain that ever so important flow \;D/ (http://puu.sh/5yy32.jpg).

01:11:368 - I feel this should be a repeat slider but in the opposite direction so that you exit towards the next note. I slightly altered the positions of 6, 7 and 8 to aid the flow here, I think you'll like it! (http://puu.sh/5yy9L.jpg)

Oh and as a general rule of thumb, I feel as though some of the fast 4 stacks could be experimented further into grumdesque long slider into to 4 1/8 sliders flowing out of it following the same rhythm, much like in the ghost of 3.13!

Massive fan of this diff, really well mapped, very challenging and a great hardrock play. I hope this helps on its way to getting ranked!

(http://puu.sh/5yxRU.jpg) - that way it will lose the jumping, impactful introduction into the next part. also, I am not mapping for people to play my maps on hardrock or any additional mod in general and I believe that it's part of those to get to handle the initial difficulty, so denying this.

00:51:537 - I felt that instead of a pair of 2 stacks here, neat doubles that flow into the next section are more appropriate to help the map maintain a level of movement seen throughout the map prior to this! (http://puu.sh/5yxVI.jpg) - the way you mapped it ruins the whole jumpyness within the song and makes it more of a tracing-wiggly flow, which really doesn't suit the doublet sounds; if anything, I'd do it with reversing your 4 and 5, but as said, it doesn't feel that well for me. the notes are stacked because the two sounds they each lie on are extremely alike/similar (if not the same, even), so that suits it better from my point of view.

00:57:131 - Similarly to before, but in this section. I really feel it adds variety to this section and helps maintain that ever so important flow \;D/ (http://puu.sh/5yy32.jpg). - looks nice, does not fit though.

01:11:368 - I feel this should be a repeat slider but in the opposite direction so that you exit towards the next note. I slightly altered the positions of 6, 7 and 8 to aid the flow here, I think you'll like it! (http://puu.sh/5yy9L.jpg) - there is a reason for why this is not just one slider: the clicks are put onto the light "bell"-ish sounds in the song, not the techno-"breakcore" 1/4. if I put a reverse-kickslider here, that'd ruin the player's participation and would screw up what I aimed for with this section.

Oh and as a general rule of thumb, I feel as though some of the fast 4 stacks could be experimented further into grumdesque long slider into to 4 1/8 sliders flowing out of it following the same rhythm, much like in the ghost of 3.13! - I am not grumd and I believe 1/6 are not too hard to do; also, they're too important as beats to simply skip them (-> skipping = making them passive hits (-> holding a slider, because you don't hit them then, only the start))

Massive fan of this diff, really well mapped, very challenging and a great hardrock play. I hope this helps on its way to getting ranked!

Jenny: Finally someone in my 2 days of modding maps who has given valid counter-reasons for my suggestions, everyone else take note, this is how you create a better breed of modders who become savant in the art; through valid reasoning towards why suggestions aren't just skimread and modders earn free kudosu.

Serious props, so i'm going to pick your brains!

Couple more ideas:

[Jenny's Extra]

00:57:639 (7) - I feel this should be slightly more buzzed so that it exacts the rhythm (http://puu.sh/5zFNz.jpg). Shortened in 1/12 BSD and lengthened the repeat in 1/8. I think that forcing players to hold it for a splitsecond longer fully immerses the player in the songs technicalities. (i can spout some serious bullshit sometimes \;D/)

01:00:690 (9) - Similarly here. (http://puu.sh/5zFOU.jpg)

01:34:504 (7) - Added a 3rd circle to this stack as I feel it goes with the melody (http://puu.sh/5zFLj.jpg). Slider seems hard to reach but perhaps stacked central to the two sliders it'd make a lot of sense.

Thanks for time
Shiro

  1. 00:12:385 (2) – add finish? I only wanted to emphasize the first beat, and give the second a bit of a "less important" feeling because the vocal is less high-pitched
  2. 00:15:097 (12) -^ same logic
  3. 00:33:741 (93,95) – how about swap? oh, yes, that makes sense, swapped 00:36:453 (105,107) - too
  4. 00:41:707 (128,129,130,131,132,133,134,135,136) – how about? No, I want to keep the symmetry with 00:41:707 (128,129,130,131) - and 00:42:554 (132,133,134,135) - the song goes for the same rhythm at both points

-Widescreen support desactivated.

HP3 is good for Kantan and about mapping the first part I think it's better to keep it without mapping as it'd reduce a bit the emphasis of my big dons in th beginning of my diff :p

[Shi-Ra]
Hello Priti and all other mappers, there are mods for mania diffs by request ^w^

Shi-Ra's Patterns Review:

(notice that columns are following like 0 1 2 3 4 5 6)
S.Star's NM
Inside :3
00:03:741 (3741|4) - move to 5th column, from this note I suggest you to re-arrange this part to make it more comfortable to play here

after moving previous note, move 00:03:910 (3910|0) - to 3rd column and then move this note 00:04:080 (4080|2) - to 1st column to complete this pattern, I think it's more suitable here

00:04:927 (4927|4) - move to 3rd column and make comfortable transition between right and left part here, placing this note to centre column makes your pattern more balanced

00:23:232 (23232|2,23402|4) - move these notes to 1st and 2nd columns accordingly, that's better pattern transition here before the next going LN, just check it

00:32:893 - add here one more note to 3rd column according to the sound which goes there, it wouldn't difficult here for NM

00:52:046 (52046|0) - move it to 2nd column, I suggest you to move it closer to other notes here coz it'll be easier for players to catch this note after previous grace notes

01:04:093 - add here one more note to 3rd column again, don't ignore centre column here, it's great position for note according to the vocals here

01:32:385 (92385|1) - move to 2nd column, make here comfortable transition between patterns here for both hands

Pew's HD
Inside :3
Only some suggestions here, Pew Pew very nice charter~

00:13:571 (13571|2) - move to 3rd column, according to your next going pattern it'll be good transition from one hand to another I think and you can keep distance between notes here

00:21:199 (21199|0,21283|6) - move these notes to 2nd and 4th columns accordingly, make alternation here more different

00:26:622 (26622|0) - move to 4th column? it's more suitable for your pattern here, if you wanna keep balance here, it wouldn't ruin it

00:30:690 (30690|0) - move this note to 5th column, it's more suitable here before next going chord

00:49:504 (49504|4) - move to 2nd column, there's no two identical sound it 4th column, so move it to more suitable position

01:19:419 - you can add one more note here and perform triplet according to the sound there

01:46:876 - add here at least one more note according to the beat to 3rd column I suggest or to 2nd and 4th columns

L i a's MX
Inside :3
00:08:826 (8826|3) - move to 5th column, there's no suitable repeating sound to place two notes in same column

00:11:029 (11029|3,11199|4) - I suggest you to switch these notes to 4th and 3rd column, there's no need to deform stair pattern here, it looks more comfortable

00:14:504 (14504|1) - move to 3rd column, this stream is more suitable here with centre column note

00:19:334 (19334|0) - move to 3rd column again, there's no suitable sound to place notes here one after another in same column and centre position is good for it

00:28:148 (28148|3) - move this note to 1st column, this triplet is better to play after your previous pattern here so connect them in this way

00:32:893 - add one more note here to 4th column according to the sound, don't ignore it coz it sounds clearly here

00:34:432 - add here at least one more note or chord according to strong beat to accent it

01:07:639 - add here one more note too according to the sound which goes there to 3rd column I suggest

This mania mapset is really awwwesome! Good job guys \o/
Good luck :3/

The volume change timing points are a little excessive imo, maybe remove the unnecessary points?

Only some suggestions here, Pew Pew very nice charter~

00:13:571 (13571|2) - move to 3rd column, according to your next going pattern it'll be good transition from one hand to another I think and you can keep distance between notes here - accepted

00:21:199 (21199|0,21283|6) - move these notes to 2nd and 4th columns accordingly, make alternation here more different - fixed

00:26:622 (26622|0) - move to 4th column? it's more suitable for your pattern here, if you wanna keep balance here, it wouldn't ruin it fixed

00:30:690 (30690|0) - move this note to 5th column, it's more suitable here before next going chord fixed

00:49:504 (49504|4) - move to 2nd column, there's no two identical sound it 4th column, so move it to more suitable position - i keep first, this part better 1/2 jack with the music

01:19:419 - you can add one more note here and perform triplet according to the sound there - will ruin the overall pattern this part

01:46:876 - add here at least one more note according to the beat to 3rd column I suggest or to 2nd and 4th columns fixed
thanks all

S.Star's NM

00:32:893 - add here one more note to 3rd column according to the sound which goes there, it wouldn't difficult here for NM Not Fixed

All Fixed, except one. thanks for mod~

  2. 00:55:012 (329,330) – 329delete, 330 add finish
  3. 01:14:249 (438,439) – swap? - fixed. 手前のノーツも変更。
thanks for mod.

Due to the sound rule we confirmed lately, all mania diffs need proper hitsounds, eg. use drum for strong beat notes.

Hi '-'
Ctb mod because I'm on vacation *o*

[Overdose]

General

- Hp+1, for an overdose 6 is probably too easy.
- Your streams are so straightm to add some curves should be a good idea. Check this map for exemple https://osu.ppy.sh/s/65855
- Not sure if it's really an overdose. For me it's more a rain. Try to ask some others people.

Combo

"A good, general baseline is a maximum of ten (10) fruits for a full combo."
So ...

  1. 00:24:080 (4) - Nc, not necessarily required but recommended
  2. 00:33:741 (5) - Nc, it's the begining of the kiai
  3. 00:40:351 (7) - Nc
  4. 01:04:249 (3) - Nc
  5. 01:06:368 (1) - until 01:10:860 (7) - Try to rework your combo here, 16notes isn't really acceptable, a nc each stanzas should be basic but ok
  6. 01:24:080 (5) - Nc
  7. 01:27:809 (1,2) - Remove nc from (1) and add nc (2). Your combo begin before the kiai and finish during the kiai it's strange ...
  8. 01:36:961 (6) - Nc

Mapping

  1. 00:11:707 (1,2) - Unstack and move (1) to x=320 and (2) to x=192. More movements and more interesting to play.
  2. 00:14:419 (1,2,3,4,5) - Same idea but with a movement to the other side.
  3. 00:20:182 (3) - During this stream increase the movement between and try to do something like a "S" . Btw the spacing here is broken 00:21:114 (4,5,6) -
  4. 00:21:453 (8,1,1,1) - If it's really an overdose try to put hdash between those notes. For exemple if you change just the two sliders, 00:21:537 (1) - x=336 , 00:22:215 (1) - x=144
  5. 00:27:470 (4,5,6,7) - More movement, no change for (4,5) http://puu.sh/5VpnG.jpg
  6. 00:30:690 (1,2) - More movement, move (2) to x=480
  7. 00:33:656 (4,5) - Add a little jump here
  8. 00:35:097 (1) - 00:35:605 (3) - Curve them more
  9. 00:37:300 (3) - Curve this one. If you do this there is more movements and the placement of the slider tick is more interesting http://puu.sh/5Vw4H.jpg
  10. 00:41:707 (1) - until 00:43:571 (5) - Rework this stream, add more movements, more curves. Currently it's just straight and not funny :s
  11. 00:46:707 (8,9) - Ctrl+g, to add a "break" in the movement
  12. 00:54:080 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Try to do something more interesting like this http://puu.sh/5Vx3U.jpg
    Code for test
    408,228,53741,5,10,0:0:0:0:
    272,228,53910,1,0,0:0:0:0:
    384,168,54080,1,2,0:0:0:0:
    220,168,54249,1,2,0:0:0:0:
    364,108,54419,1,0,0:0:0:0:
    172,108,54588,1,8,0:0:0:0:
    344,48,54758,1,0,0:0:0:0:
    120,48,54927,1,2,0:0:0:0:
  13. 00:57:470 (6,7) - More movement, a hdash between those notes should be also acceptable. Move (7) to x= 32 for exemple
  14. 00:58:148 (1,2,3,4) - Ctrl+g (3,4) and unstack the notes at left
  15. 01:00:690 (5,6,7,8) - Rework the curve here. The current appearance isn't perfect
  16. 01:06:368 (1) - 01:14:080 (5) - During all this stream part try to add more little jump, curves or others kind of things like more insteresting for a player that just a straight streams.
  17. 01:17:470 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Add more movements, a spacing of 0,30* isn't really interesting or fun. Especially this one 01:18:317 (2,3) -
  18. 01:39:504 (3,4) - Ctrl+g (3) and so stack (4) with the head of (3).

[Spec's Deluge]

General

- Od+1 since OD=AR
- To be clear this kind of mapping style with something like "stream , hdash, hdash , stream..." isn't my favourite. I liked your previous maps but now I have the feeling that you take the easy route with something without big mistakes but also unoriginal :?
- Not really a deluge but since it's harder than the overdose it's ok.
- No spinners even at the end of the map ?

Combo

Same as the overdose
"A good, general baseline is a maximum of ten (10) fruits for a full combo."
So ...

  1. 00:20:860 (9) - Nc
  2. 00:21:876 (2) - and 00:22:554 (2) - Not necessarily required but recommended
  3. 01:00:182 (9) - Nc
  4. 01:02:893 (4,5,1,2,3) - Nc (4) , remove (1) , nc (3)
  5. 01:08:148 (8) - Nc
  6. 01:12:385 (6) - ^
  7. 01:22:046 (8) - ^
  8. 01:25:944 (7) - ^
  9. 01:36:792 (9) - ^
  10. 01:38:148 (5) - ^

Mapping

  1. 00:02:385 (8,1) - Add a little jump between those notes
  2. 00:03:741 (8,1) - ^
  3. 00:49:334 (5,6,7) - No hdash here ? The song requires one :s
  4. 00:54:080 (1,2,3,4) - Curve this more ? At least tries to force the player to move to catch those notes.
  5. 00:57:300 (3,4) - Increse the spacing here, don't change the placement of (3).
  6. 01:48:995 (1,1,1) - This ending should be more epic :s

And that's all for me.
Good luck

CTB checking comes
  1. 00:20:775 (8,1) - can create a bit movement here? to make this and 00:21:453 (8,1) - this similar distance
  2. 00:22:893 (1,2) - remove hyperdash. this part is not same hyper than previous, no need to hyperdash this.
  3. 00:24:588 - note here and 00:25:012 - delete this note
  4. 00:28:826 (3,4) - small movement here.
  5. 00:28:995 (4,1) - jump here
  6. 00:29:504 (1,2,3,4) - off vocal suddenly... if it is your intention im fine with it, but still 00:29:673 (2) - im feeling like there is a heavy beat inside this slider. maybe you need to think more of the rhythm this part?
  7. 00:32:385 (1,2,3,4) - suggestion
  8. 00:37:978 (2,3,4) - reduce thsi jump, to remove the previous hyperdash.(just 2 grids on both side will be ok)
  9. 00:38:826 (6) - reduce the spacing inside this slider will be better.
  10. 00:41:876 (1) - to 00:43:571 (5) - looks pretty nice in editor but very normal in actual play yard. next time I suggest just use 1 line to place stream, that will make life easier.

  11. 00:44:080 - 00:44:165 - note, and please 00:43:910 (7,1) - "jumper" this part.

  12. 00:45:266 (3,5) - stack nicely.
  13. 00:45:775 (6) - center of the jump
  14. 00:45:944 (1) - stack to (3) or (5) (i mean 00:45:605 (5) - ) to remove hyperdash 00:45:944 (1,2) -
  15. 00:46:622 (4,5,6,7,8) - and this..... i can see this pattern in most of the unrank maps, but i think need to discuss a bit about it. plays fun but looks really bad...
  16. 00:52:724 (6,7) - personally i dont like this hyperdash
  17. 00:53:402 (8) - ctrl+G
  18. 00:54:249 (2,4,6) - stack together better
  19. 00:54:080 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - this series of pattern I think, 1,2 make them just jump(means you need to press shift half of the time to catch it), 3.4 make a big white jump, 5,6 make hyperdash. have a try.
  20. 00:55:097 (1) - this should be inside the previous increase jump to create better flow
  21. 00:59:165 (7) - i guess you need to use a stand stack jump here. just small jump+hyperdash not able to performing well here.

  22. 01:00:521 (1,1) - remove hyperdash. or you may want to reduce 1 reverse of the slider
  23. 01:00:860 (1,2,3,4) - i dont know exactly what you want here.. if you just want a calm slider please make the spacing consistant.
  24. 01:02:215 (1,2,3,4) - god sudden hyerdash.. think twice before use.
  25. 01:13:741 (1) - suggestion
  26. 01:40:690 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - dafaq this this pattern is really bad for a rank map. consider change it.
  27. 01:48:317 (1,2,1,2) - please only hyperdash the last 2 slider.

i cannot catch the point of some rhythm... you have some really weird blank and weird squeeze in this map, but whatever it sounds reasonable.

[spec]
I can hardly mod this diff because i really dont like hyperdash spam...but besides that the whole structure of this map is good.
I will try what I can then.

00:25:097 (5) - use a linear pattern will be better. reverse slider hyperdash is really a hard one.
00:31:029 (1,2,3,4) - i will prefer to do an increase here.
00:43:232 (1,2,3,4) - the whole hyerdash especially this i think you need to think twice.
00:58:826 (3,4) - again do a decrease better?
01:01:537 (3,4) - decrease more will be better...
01:03:571 (1,2) - remove hyperdash....
01:10:351 (1,2) - remove hyperdash
01:41:707 (2,3) - remove hyeprdash..
01:46:961 (1,2,3,4) - think twice before use

Sorry I think I am not able to apple it because spec's diff is really out of my hand.. dont know what do other mapper or modder think hyperdash spam map. so I will just leave it here.
Will contact Deif soon
