Hey, title says it all, got about a 120$ budget. Pref something with cherry mx red switches, dunno heard those were good.

I know this sounds dumb, but I kinda wanna get something flashy, with lights and what not. Willing to pay a little extra for it.
The best advice I can give you is to go try out different keyboards yourself. People have different preferences; there isn't a "best" type of mechanical keyboard, just one that you like personally. As for your price point and the flashiness, I would usggest the Razor Blackwidow ULtimate, which is a good quality keyboard with the lights that you want. As for switches, the Blackwidow has Blue switches and you'd have to see if those would work for you.

I probably sound like an idiot, but what is the diffrence between red and blue switches? Or any color for that matter.
It is the feel of the keys, you should do your research on google/youtube for that. If you want the red switches, I would suggest looking at keyboards like Cooler Master Storm, Corsair K series etc.XxYujixX wrote:

I have red and black switches and I easily prefer my black switch keyboard after 2 or 3 months are trying both. I tried blues the other week and they felt the same as reds to me (probably because I smash my keys all the way to the bottom every time) so whatever floats your boat.XxYujixX wrote:

I'm enjoying my trigger but most people seem to prefer the quickfire because it's a bit cheaper.XxYujixX wrote:

^Bought this one for a friend and he'll swear by it. I bought it for him and he gave me his Razer Deathstalker, but that's because I prefer flat style keys over mechanical ones. I'd recommend the deathstalker if you want to go that route (that is, if you actually LIKE keyboards that are similar to those on a laptop).
