Interesting discovery I just found out when I was trying to trade evolve one of my Pokémon: I had one of my Japanese friends help me evolve my Kadabra... When it evolved on their game, the name of the "Alakazam" became the Japanese name for it =o
i miss Gen V. it had a lot of original Pokémon, i think more than any other region

For example, there's the Poke-Amie and the Super Training (both of which are actually pretty fun), just to mention two.
New pokemon are nice, but so is new things to do in game. There's actually interesting things to do out of battle now, and the internet part of the game is actually quite well designed.
Being able to use the WiFi functions anywhere is one of the biggest things for me + super training makes EV training a lot easier and more fun! The only thing I could wish for in the next game would be the secret bases coming back in some way and for streetpass to have some more function to it.
Is anyone online who could let me back and forth trade to evolve my kadabra into alakazam?

Also, figured out that if you click on the CD in your pokémon menu, you can insta select the HM.
Saves a little more time if you've been using the stylus to navigate through your stuff.

Yes, something like this actually gets forgotten quite easily but for people who wants to train an solid IV team early in the stages, you'd be able to get an Riolu that already has 3 perfect IVs to begin with and crossbreed it with anything you like from the Field Egg group that you can get via. Though, you could also breed with an Mime Jr. here but since Riolu is generally earlier to get (with more effort) but not only that; evolving it into Lucario already gains you access to the Field Egg group... so if you'd stick with an Mime Jr. to pass on perfect IVs, you'd have to go an additional step since Mr. Mime being only Human-Like, and not an hybrid like Lucario which is in the Human-Like and Field Egg group.
Oh, and did I mention that Eevee is also in the Field Egg group?
Which means your IV advantaged Riolu/Lucario can breed some nice Eevees... and if you feel lucky you could also pass down the move "Wish" to the parenting Eevee.
One of many ways to get your Eevee having inherited the move "Wish"
All you need is to breed 
Togitec (that has learned "Wish" ofc) with an 
Pikachu, that 
Pichu will then have the move "Wish" and by evolving it into Pikachu, you're able to breed it with 
Eevee thus resulting into an Eevee with "Wish".
TL;DR version of the "Wish" breed:

well, hope anyone find this informative and that i can encourage people to look further into breeding than just "DITTO 2-4 PERFECT IVS HURR DURR" which i, for myself, can't deny that Friend Safari Dittos are the best thing since the invention of not always saving after switching a box.
