Okay, so I've had this problem for a while and thought it was just the Osu version or a version of Windows conflicting but I'm fairly certain it's not this. My Osu client will randomly lag out of nowhere for no reason for a fraction of a second and carry on as normal. From what I've seen the fps drop isn't caused by anything that stands out as a problem.
I've used PC monitoring tools to check the load Osu takes and none of them have shown anything unusual when it happens.
The lag spike can also occur anywhere in game. I've had it happen while playing, while watching a replay, while in the menu and while in the editor.
I don't get anything like this with any other game or software run on the PC; Osu it the only one with this issue.
System Specs and Peripherals:
Everything I've tried to fix it in order of attempt:
Not sure if anyone else has ideas, but if changing PC hardware or having to reinstall Windows are the fixes, then I'll leave it.
And yes the game is constantly up-to-date, currently on Stable 20220213 (latest).
Cheers.
