  1. When I downloaded the mapset, it came with a osb-file. This is useless, since you don't have a storyboard. I asked some modders and they said it could be a bug that happens sometimes (when the mapper doesn't upload the file but osu creates it when downloading the mapset). Anyways, you should check your beatmap's folder and remove the file if it's there!
  2. I think you are missing a gap in the tags, between her? and Remilia.
  3. Your rhythm is quite good, but sometimes it's questionable. First of all, try not to ignore the stanza. That means, don't use sliders that end on the big white line! For example 00:32:513 (8). It is because the drums in this song are very consistent and dominant, so the big white line is always emphasized really much by the drums. It sounds strange if those beats are not clickable (when the slider ends on those). Go through your map and fix all of these rhythm issues on your own, since there are quite a few!
  4. This point is a bit of personal opinion, but you should try to make your map a bit more tidy when it comes to placement! You have a mapping style where you don't use much spacing, so you have to be careful that the map doesn't look random. Therefore, it's important that you use clearer patterns sometimes. For example, this 00:06:042 (1,2,3) could be a perfect triangle, because at the moment 00:06:435 (2) looks like it is placed randomly. Same here 00:17:807 (4,5,6). My advice would to be check your map for objects like this and try to include it in any sort of pattern! That could be triangles / squares / pentagons, stacking notes, equal distance snap for a jump pattern or other things like that. You will be surprised how good it will fit your style :)
  5. Your hitsounding is rather inconsistent. This applies for the hitsounding itself but also (more importantly) for the volume settings: You are making some sounds or even complete sections very, very silent, while it doesn't even make sense. An example is this 00:18:101 or the section starting at 00:45:258. The song is too long to point every out, so you'll have to fix it yourself. Simply follow these steps:
    1. First of all, delete all your sections so that you only keep the ones which change sampleset, slider velocity or kiai, but not the ones that change volume.
    2. Set the volume for all sections you have kept to the same value, I'd recommend you 50%.
    3. Then, go through the song while listening to your hitsounding: If you notice anything that should be louder or less loud than the 50%, change this section / note.
    4. Everytime you change something, check the whole song if there is the same section or a similiar one anywhere else, and apply the same settings for this one.
  6. The hitsounding itself is also inconsistent. Of course, the song is too long to point out everything, so you may follow these steps to improve your hitsounding:
    1. Listen to a section of your map.
    2. Analyze the hitsound pattern you chose for this section, for example: Where did you place claps? Where did you place whistles? Where did you place finishes? How many whistles did you place? ...
    3. Check your section for mistakes / inconsistencys in this pattern. Of course the hitsounding shouldn't be the same all the time, but there are some things that sound strange in your map, that you might spot by using this method. For example, you are missing many claps. Also, sometimes you placed multiple claps in a row 02:19:180 (1,2,3,4,5,6), which sounds rather weird to be honest, since there is nothing in the music that would imply this. Another example would be this 00:23:101 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7), where you didn't use a whistle for many objects in a row, although you've been using many whistles in this section otherwise.


  • Specific
  1. 00:21:729 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - Here, the spacing definitely looks weird. Try to make it equal? The spacing changes don't make sense with the music, from what I can tell.
  2. 00:29:376 (4,5,6,1) - At the moment, the jump from (4) to (5) feels strange, because you have to slow-down again afterwards for the transition from (5) to (6). Also, the antijump from (6) to (1) doesn't play very good. A simple solution would be to stack (5) on 00:29:180 (3) and place (6) where (5) was originally, to create this pattern: http://puu.sh/acqm2/5d2d22d9ff.jpg
  3. 01:21:140 (6,1) - (1) is a very emphasized beat by both drums and vocals, so a jump between (6) and (1) would play much better than an antijump. For example: http://puu.sh/acqzu/65b30b1d23.jpg
  4. 05:03:493 (6) - Move this object a bit more downwards, to impove the transition between 05:03:101 (4,5,6). At the moment, it feels weird that you have to move to the right after (5). http://puu.sh/acr1S/ac0867097c.jpg
  5. There are more specific issues, but it's very hard for me to point them out at the moment, since the things I mentioned in General aren't fixed yet. If you fixed some of these, and you want a recheck, you can ask me ingame! I will help you to improve your flow and rhythm then :) Same applies if you have any question regarding this mod yet- Just ask ingame!

Well, of course it's not a bad map! It is fun to play, especially because the song is so great!
There are still many issues with rhythm and placement, but especially with consistency. Consistency is probably the hardest part when mapping a marathon, since it's very long, but I'm sure you'll get it fixed if you try!

  1. Good map overall, but the combo colors are a bit hard to see due to both transparency and the light colors. Try making the colors a little darker by decreasing the Luminosity (Lum) by like 20-40 units so the colors are easier to see during gameplay.

  2. 00:33:886 (6) - 1/1 repeat sliders like these are uninteresting to play if they aren't following vocals especially on an Insane level of difficulty as they cover a lot of background music that can potentially be mapped out. It would feel better to break this up into a rhythm like in the image below to allow players to click along with the strong downbeat and finish on 00:34:278. Having a 1/2 rhythm here would also be consistent with 00:40:552 (1,2).


    If you implement this make sure to correct the comboing as follows:

It's pretty fitting so consider either adding it to all similar parts or removing it here for consistency. In fact whistles seem even more fitting if you decide to add a hitsound for this you could try whistles instead.
  7. 00:54:670 (7) - You can NC here as this combo goes really long.
  8. 00:58:395 (7) - Did you mean to have a finish on the tail instead of a clap?
  9. 01:05:160 (3) - Is this note really necessary? I'm not hearing any sound here and 01:05:062 (2,4) are the accented hits so it would be better to remove the note make a jump between these two for consistency with all patterns like 00:52:513 (1,2).
  10. 01:53:886 (6) - I would break this into a slider and circle to follow the vocal nicely and allow players to click with the strong downbeat.
  11. 02:24:180 (2) - This note isn't covering anything, listening to the background music it should just be a circle and a triplet so I would just remove this and create some space between 02:24:082 (1,3).
  12. 02:39:376 (7) - A 1/1 repeat slider isn't very interesting to play for all the reasons as mentioned earlier. Try a rhythm identical to the suggestion for 00:33:886 (6) - and make sure to NC on 02:40:748 (3) and remove at 02:40:356 (1).
  13. 03:38:689 (2,4) - Well these don't sound like they're mapped to anything, a stream doesn't fit here in my opinion. Just using a 1/2 slider on 03:38:591 feels like the ideal rhythm at this part.
  14. 04:12:317 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Inconsistent stream spacing. Try to keep exactly at 0.5x to make it neater.
  15. 05:19:376 (6) - Swap whistle for a clap. Also NC here as you break of that slider pattern and this combo is a bit long.

  1. Tick Rate 2 might fit better here :?
  2. 00:15:454 (1,2,3) - and 00:17:023 (1) - I think it would be better if you switched these two, starting the triplet after a pause in the music like this will be frustrating to hit accurately
  3. 00:18:101 (5,6) - why do these have soft samples? it would sound more consistent if they were kept normal
  4. 01:36:827 (1,2,3) - might want to move this to x416 y104 so that the spacing looks equal after the automatic stacking
  5. 01:55:650 (8) - similar reason to above, move this a bit left
  6. 02:55:258 (3) - this would fit the music much better snapped to 1/8
  7. 03:59:572 (7) - move a bit right for better spacing?
  8. 05:06:435 (3,5) - clap should be on 5, not 3
  9. 05:09:768 (5,6,7) - try x140 y152 for similar reasons as before
  10. 05:17:219 (3) - ctrl+g here might flow better

The hitsound volumes of this map are far too low. An average of 40% is almost not hearable for me when playing the map. If you compare it to other ranked mapsets, you can hear the huge difference. I'd highly recommend to make the volume for the complete mapset higher by atleast 20%.

BATs, if you don't agree with me, listen to this section 00:46:827 - Here it's the most obvious imo. This is definitely not loud enough to be ranked.
