Have you tried "ColumnSpacing"?
If you can't find it in skin.ini, you can enter this following command:
Edit: Setting too close - by putting a negative value, will look a bit messy on the mania-keys.

If you meant by the default value of ColumnSpacing, it's all zeros - meaning the distance between the keys are close impact.
You can also remove it and it returns to default.
