Hey, community!
Wait, hold on, I'm looking for a specific group of mouse users here! I wanted to post this in the beginner's training thread, but felt it would get more attention from the right people as a stand-alone thread. I only (really) started playing about a month ago, so I'm pretty much still a newbie.
Anyway, I play osu with my giant, 12-year old mouse and small hands. What I do differently than most people is that I play with my hand and wrist independent(?) of each other. My wrist is stationary on my mouse pad -- it never moves and I pivot on one of the bones in there. The mouse itself is controlled by my fingers, which allow me to move it up, down, and side-to-side. Because of the smaller area the optical light on my mouse has to work with, my mouse sensitivity is very very high. Most people play by moving their arms and keep their shoulders stationary, I play by moving my hand and keeping my wrist stationary.
My only issue is that I can't handle spins too well. They are my kryptonite! My hand tenses up which locks down my fingers. Fingers go down, mouse goes down, life bar goes down. Are there any other people who play in a similar style who have any pointers?
Thank you!
