When you haven't ever been in one, it's a bit of a fantasy, but actually giving the idea some thought lets you see that it really isn't all peaches and gravy. Sure, I imagine that it must be nice to love and feel loved, but you gotta deal with all kinds of crap that you don't have to deal with when you're single. I personally have never been in one (as I said on like, page two or three), and even then, I don't really think I'd even want one, at least not at the moment. I myself am one of those types of people who truly fear rejection, and it effects pretty much almost everything: relationships, friends, posting on new forums, even buying certain items at stores sometimes :< Also, thanks to my family, I feel like I'm just a useless piece of garbage who doesn't really DESERVE love or anything like that, which is kinda why I sometimes get shocked by random acts of kindness.
Though, even then, there are still people who I would go out of my way to try to be in a relationship with, ignoring my fear of rejection and everything, but unfortunately they're either too far away or already in a relationship. While it makes me sad, I still feel happy for them and wish them luck and hope they stay happy with who they're with.
