It's Hetalia.

Ever had a country so bad you can only shit on other countries as an argument? Even Japanese which are not even on the same continent made a stereotype of this country sucking with 10s of episodes of tv series.

Only California could possibly shoot themselves in the foot like this. A couple of months ago, everybody voted yes on Proposition V (even though shop owners told them not to), a horrible tax measure where they'd charge you one cent per ounce for sodas. Well, guess what these liberal fucks forgot? Most lower-class families rely on soda. So yeah, the crusade against Big Soda went well, but poor people got fucked over because of it. Great jobs, liberals.

^ it's really not

Soda is cheaper than bottled water in a lot of areas. Tap water comes from many different sources and it's usually the really affluent neighborhoods who get a good source, not the poorer cities or towns. Buying GOOD water filters can also be expensive.

What I'm trying to say is, when people voted for Proposition V, they didn't think about who was REALLY going to be affected by it.

Those people should have voted against it then, easy. This is literally how democracy works

But they didn't! And lower-class people usually don't go out to vote because most of them are already at work during voting hours. That's the problem. They didn't consider the actual consequences. Hell, there were more advertisements against this proposition than positive ones, and yet people still voted for it, and those advertisements explained in detail how the proposition would be bad for shop owners and lower-class people. That's what baffles me. Did they just vote without thinking twice about it?

I don't know about you, but I feel bad. Even though this is how democracy works, I still feel bad for those people.
