I made an algorithm that places notes to create maps automatically and it already makes better maps than most of the stuff that gets ranked
would be nice if they added this into the ranking criteria. "your map has to be at least as good as automap for this song. if your map is worse, delete and start over". this would kill like 99% of the maps in osu, but at least we'll be left with only the good ones. win-win

get rekt osu mappers. 10 lines in java make better maps than you, and in 2 minutes, instead of however long it takes you to make one. although judging by the quality of maps I see in ranking I doubt those people spent more than 2 minutes on their map either

whether you can have automap or not doesn't depend on me, the project belongs to dudehacker. I just added the code for note placement for gameplay purposes. there is no release version yet, it still has bugs and doesn't work with all types of songs. (also at the moment it only makes mania patterns, do you mania winbro?)
