Don't count useless key taps. [duplicate]

Some players(include me) like tapping randomly during the break time or after last note.
This is useless and I don't want it counted.

however, if this counts the mouse taps while mouse keys are disabled it'd be a bit weird (I haven't been online yet to try this, so I wouldn't know)

I do the same actually, I enjoy tapping buttons during break time, it is quite annoying when it's counted, but I could just adjust how i play, I suppose.

So if my tap count is extremely high during a map with only a few notes does that affect anything?
If it doesn't affect my score or anything then I would like to have a high count as I love pressing buttons during breaks to show off how fast my fingers are. they're not even that fast, but oh well, it was an example

no, it's just a counter, like how many times you retry a map

its kind of weird for counting useless key taps but that's how the counter works. It counts how many taps or clicks you made during the map.

I was planning on making this exact thread sooner or later. Support.
Don't count during breaks and intro, etc.

Just curious, what do people use the count for?

Personally I'm only interested in my 2 key balance (ie K1 vs K2 ratio).

I strictly alternate. So if I see inconsistency that's a red flag towards an element of my playstyle.

Edit: Also I noticed that there is no "key-lock" or "key-bind" or whatever it's called in regards to the number count. Pressing all 4 inputs at once will each give one input.
There's pros and cons to what it is now and what I'm referring to, though.
Still, I'd like it to only count if it's a 'legit' input on Osu.
