After going north and defeating possible enemies, I'd suggest going balls out far east, and saying fuck west

Building on Jinxyjem's theory, what if the map counts diagonals as single steps? Since, you know, you can move in diagonals. That would make the known empty area a square, not a diagonal.

Since the Sceptre is there, it's not necessary to check the last 2 squares I think. Just head straight south now.
Is it not possible for two treasures to be in adjacent squares?

We are kind of done with west anyway, we got what we expected to find. Now we can go to East.
