General
  1. There's a higher res of this background on google if u want to use it. It can be upwards to 1920x1200
  2. http://www.dragonforce.com/ultra-beatdown/ Metadata. Might want to add 'japanese release bonus track' and 'exclusive' to the tags. Feel free to add some other stuff to, but those I feel would be searched more.
  3. I feel tick rate 2 might be distracting for the most part, as it creates unnecessary hitboxes on rhythm like 00:57:038 (1,1,1) - 06:28:933 (1,2) - which I feel if toned down to 1 would make them more intuitive to play.

  1. 00:08:383 (4,1) - I feel the distance between these would come as a shock as it's double the distance of 00:07:555 (2,3) - but the sounds being mapped feel similar. ctrl+g on 00:07:762 (3) - makes the spacing more consistent with 00:08:383 (4,1,2,3) -
  2. 02:57:196 (4,5) - I think a kick slider here and starting the stream at 02:57:354 - would play more naturally because 02:57:354 - feels stronger than the 1/4 tick, which I think would be easier to anticipate.


It looks like you have a good understanding of structure, and your aesthetics aren't too bad either, but patterns like 02:32:722 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - I feel could be improved slightly, as this could look a lot better.

I'll just use the pattern above as an example. The point of aesthetics are to recognize shapes / patterns. There's no particular name for this pattern I don't think, but I still recognize is as a square, or 4 equally-intense notes just by looking. However, that's not the end of the pattern. 02:33:354 (5) - We still have the other half to look at. I can easily look at 5-8 and say this is a square as well, but the problem is I think in the NCs. Because you have both of these shapes in the same color, it's more natural to view them as one 'group' or shape instead of 2 separate patterns. If you nc 02:33:354 (5) - it'll create a more distinct contrast between the 2 shapes making them more obvious from a glance.

Some of your patterns I felt incorporated this idea and looked good xp
00:39:038 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12) -
00:36:512 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - I feel the notes are played across too large of a distance in the timeline to be noticeable in gameplay, but still works. Personally I'd NC 3 and 5 because I feel that contrast would be more noticeable.

01:03:038 (1,2,3,4,5,6) -
02:13:775 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) -
02:18:828 (1,2,3,4) -
02:47:407 (1,2,3) -
03:08:091 (1,2,3,4) - You could place an NC on 03:08:722 (5) - if you wanted to, but I feel it still compliments the shape of 1-4 nicely.
05:57:354 (1,2) - Nice contrast with the rhythm and patterns xp
06:58:617 (1,2,3,4,1) - bootiful contrast and shape xp

A few patterns you could apply this concept to:
01:22:933 (4) - NC here would draw out the triangle 01:21:986 (1,2,3) - more obviously I feel.
01:31:775 (4,5,1) - NC makes sense here because of the rhythm, but the two sliders compliment each other because of the curves, so I feel the NC on 1 contradicts the pattern because the NC fits the rhythm but the pattern suggests they're similar, if that makes any sense. I feel https://puu.sh/A11qb/28520de622.jpg looks better because it contrasts the different sounds with the different shapes while still looking aesthetically pleasing.
02:35:249 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Similar to my very first point on aesthetics, if you place an NC on 02:35:880 (3) - it would bring out the different shapes more because the colors create contrast.
