[General]
Tick rate 2 fits this song best
[Easy]
00:33:659 (1,2,3) - I'm kind of wary of the flow here since this is an Easy diff. Going back after the launch from the repeat slider feels a bit odd after 00:28:859 (1,2) - and the rest of your instances of this rhythm seem to have not nearly as much of a cut backwards.
00:55:259 (1,1) - This overlap is pretty ugly
01:07:859 (1,1,1,1,1) - Yeah, everyone does the new combo spam here across the maps, but it feels too frequent with the number of hit objects. It'd look a lot better in sets of twos.
01:17:459 (1,1,1,1,1) - etc. won't bother pointing the rest out
02:38:459 - Not ending with the rest of the maps?
..well I started at least.
I'm really perplexed over the timing at the start. Why that mass of red lines?
Anyway, I'll continue later when I can.
Edit:
[Normal]
00:27:959 (3,4,5,6,1) - This looks pretty intimidating for a Normal. It's that really low AR I'm thinking (feels way slow compared to the slider speed, but the distance snap speed is super-low so it's kind of unbalanced-feeling.)
01:40:259 (1) - The only thing I can hear on this is the slider tick q:
01:44:459 (2,3) - This might be a bit tough for a Normal difficulty. Try to avoid stacking under slider ends - especially when you're using a different rhythm that's not even in the song.
01:55:559 (1,1,1,1,1) - Strange that you do the new combo spam here but not during the kiai parts that are the same.
02:23:459 (1,1) - This is pretty iffy for a Normal too. It'd probably read a lot better if you only set a circle at 02:24:959 - instead of having a slider at 02:24:659 (1) - .
02:27:659 (5,6,1) - And again with the weird 1/2 spacing. I recommend against it - when you have the same rhythm but different spacing in the next pattern at 02:29:159 (4,1) -
02:33:059 (1,1) - Same thing as before
02:35:159 (3,4,1) - And the 1/2 spacing changes. This is a Normal!
[Hard]
00:27:959 (4,1) - This jump doesn't read very well. Have the curve of the slider move towards the 1. Maybe also make the jump less intense.
01:21:059 (1,2) - Kind of a weird spot for a jump. If you made it more similar to what you did with 01:11:459 (1,2) - it would read and play a lot better.
01:27:059 (1) - This slowdown plays poorly. Breaks the pacing you've had up to this point.
01:30:809 (2,3,1,2) - This jump into ridiculously slow velocity is also pretty bad pacing. I'd have larger spacing between 01:31:559 (1,2) - so you don't have the identical spacing from the previous combos and it transitions better to this slow part. (I also disagree with slowing down to such a drastic amount, but eh)
01:52:259 (3) - Wrong rhythm
02:04:259 (1) - Slider track is audible
02:36:659 (1) - Wow this feels so badly placed. I guess you wanted to put a spinner somewhere, but it really breaks your pacing.
Eh, overall this map felt like it was trying too hard to suppress itself from being a low-level Insane. It's quite a big jump up from the Normal in difficulty as well.
I'll continue later. Not sure where to start since there are 3 insanes? Shouldn't one of these be an extra as well?
Edit 2:
[Nouk]
00:45:359 (1) - This would flow better if the kink was made earlier. Right now it's a big stab against your previous curved flow and it feels wrong. 00:46:109 (4,5) - Ctrl + g on these would also help towards the flow
01:25:859 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Erm, why sliders? They are clearly meant to be single notes.
01:31:109 - And after all that following of the piano, missing this beat is a crime.
01:31:559 (1) - Awkward spinner. Map through it or start it at 01:31:859 - so it matches the much better spinner at 01:36:659 (1) -
01:38:459 (2,3) - The rhythm is completely wrong on these. Use 1/2 rhythms to match the music.
01:43:559 (6) - End this at 01:43:659 - and give it a more audible end so that you can feel that it's ending with the drum part
01:46:259 (1,2,3) - Slider. Slider. Circle. What. Use circles for better impact for under-mapping like this.
02:09:059 (1,7,1) - At least line the end of the long slider up with these two stacked notes.
02:23:459 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - These silenced slider ends are just bad. Not only are they completely off rhythm, when they finally do sync up, you keep them silent anyway so it ends up leaving me wondering what exactly you were trying to accomplish with the music. The best part is that you decided to do a different incorrect rhythm than at 01:25:859 (1) -
02:33:059 (1,2,3,4,1,2) - Yay, you've at least demonstrated that you are aware of the rhythm of the song and are capable of mapping it. Why aren't you doing this for the rest of the map though?
To be continued...
[RLQuillab]
00:53:309 (6,1) - This flowed poorly to me. Doubling back on itself compared to the zigzag approach at 00:49:409 (4,5,6,1) - ... I preferred the zigzag honestly.
00:56:759 (5) - These extended sliders with the silenced ends bugged me. The spacing after them is inconsistent and the hitsounding is as well. Referring to points such as 00:53:459 (1,2) - and 00:49:859 (1,2) -
00:59:609 (5,1) - Strange spot for a jump considering the music and pattern.
01:22:109 (3,1) - Uh. Please no. You can't hear it at all, and that tiny amount of time for such a drastic jump with no discernable emphasis in the music that I can tell to justify it makes this feel like it's trying too hard rather than going with the song.
01:27:209 (3,1) - ^ Though at least I could hear it since it was all whistles except for the end of the slider. Which is @#$(&*
01:45:659 (3) - Snap the end of this at 01:46:059 - if you -really- need to hit that beat. It still feels way out of character even when snapped to the right beat, though. A lot of this is probably because there are zero hitsounds going on here. Just the claps makes for a really boring section.
01:48:659 (1) - sliderslide.wav
01:59:459 (1,1) - After all the 1/2 use, and hearing this part enough times in the song, suddenly changing the rhythm on this so that it's not even following the music at all was a pretty poor decision imo.
02:04:259 (1,1,1) - Doubling back under a stack felt really against your general triangle patterns throughout most of the map. Same with repeat later
02:06:509 (3) - I didn't need that combo anyway
02:07:709 (3) - Nor any health
02:19:709 (2,1) - And again with the crazy jump during a transition. I don't get it. At least the sliders here actually worked fine.
02:21:809 - Neeeeeed a noooooote aaaaaaa
02:34:409 (3) - Eh
I really didn't like the stop/go/stop/go nature of this map. Felt like it was busy denying me of any fun the entire ride. q:
[Rin]
01:09:059 (3,1) - This felt waaay too close after the other three sets of jumps.
01:30:659 (1,1,1) - You followed the piano part fairly strongly up until this transition point. The sliders just feel gimmicky rather than a good translation of the phrase though. For example, the last slider at 01:31:259 (1) - In the music, it's more coming to a stop. Everything turns off waiting for the vocal to kick in again. But your' having the player keep moving anyway with this last slider. Just feels wrong against the song.
01:58:859 (2,3,4,5) - I didn't get why you suddenly put jumps in here. Not really anything new in the song to emphasize until 01:59:459 -
02:16:559 (1,2) - Sudden tiny spacing aaaaaa
Pretty fun map here, except for the weird spacing things I pointed out above.
One more to go!
[Yuko]
I... know that you can map better than this now, Yuko. This -is- an 8 month old map. You might want to look through this and see what you can improve on your own applying what you've learned over that large time span. As it stands now, it is mostly a disaster as a map. The flow is broken all over the place along with completely spastic velocity changes with seemingly zero connection with the music. Having me bitch about every other note isn't going to be helpful to anyone.
