[Archived] Very low download speed from site and osu!direct

I'm getting very low download speeds (below 30kb/s) on practically all beatmaps (both, website and osu!direct),so that I end up downloading from bloodcat (especially in multiplayer), from which I get 200-300kb/s. My maximum download speed is around 1,5mb/s. I've always had such low downloads speed for osu! and I was just surprised that it was the same with osu!direct.

router problem? just take your router a break,cool it and restart...

No surprises here, osu!direct download sources are the same than the website.

I've heard of slowdowns from Chinese connections but not from Germany. Could be an issue from your ISP.

I've been experiencing phases of slow download rates from time to time since a few months ago. Downloads have been constantly slow (~30kb/s) for about two weeks now (I think). I know other german people with the exact same issues.

It seems to be related to this: t/120061
I guess this means we can't do much but wait? Damn.

That's really weird. Your pings and traceroutes suggest you should be getting line max for downloads. I can't imagine why you aren't :(. If you have any friends on different ISPs, maybe you could try a download from their house and see if it is the same or not.

Ok, so I've tried to download some maps from my university's network and at a friend's place and got over 900kb/s at both. Don't know what the deal is but like two days ago I had a sudden spike in download speed and everything downloaded almost instantly. However it went back to the way it was before the next day.

Im my case I had this problem with WI-FI but with LAN i have very high speed

I've also had download speed issues for the last few days.
My connection allows me to download up to 1.5mb/s but it downloads at 30-60kb/s from either the website or osu!direct.

Edit: I figured out that if I cancel then redownload the song , it downloads with the expected speed. (osu!direct)

My average download speed is 100 kb/s. But sometimes it goes down at 20~40 kb/s

and its from the website.

I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM HERE IN BRAZIL, AND MY INTERNET RUNS 3.0Mb/s normally, but on osudirect! and osu website my download speed goes to 50kb/s ...

SOMEONE HELP!!
