There were already some threads complaining about the "Previously known as" in the profile. (For example t/107074/start=0)
If you change your username as a supporter with the function, you will get the "Previously known as ..." But if you're not a supporter and ask an admin to change your username, you won't get the "Previously known as ...". I don't know why, but that's not the main problem.
I know it's not that important, but I would be really glad if this gets changed. This is a site which explains better what I mean.
It's also a good idea to differentiate it a little in comparison to a name that hasn't been changed to make it easy to understand that you can hover over it. (Eg. Put an asterisk after changed names) (Thanks to Primula for this idea).
