i found a skin that fits me perfectly, only the sliders are harder to read :-/

can i use all the aspects of the skin but change the sliders to the colourful default ones?

What part of the slider are you talking about?

You can go into the skin file which should be in
C:\Program Files (x86)\osu!\Skins
or
C:\Program Files\osu!\Skins
and delete the slider images and the default will be used instead.
You can delete hitcircle.png and hitcircleoverlay.png

I wrote slider by accident hehe

If the color of the sliders is set to a fix color is determinated in the skin.ini.

  • Go into your ./osu!/Skins Folder and locate the Skin you wanna change
  • open skin.ini with an editor like notepad
  • locate the line "SliderTrackOverride: 55,55,55" - the numbers define the color the Slider-Track is changed in
  • to get the default behaviour (Slider track is colored in the color of the hitcircles) you comment out the line by putting a ";" in front of it.
You maybe also want to comment the line SliderBorder, as it defines the color of the slider border [Obviously]. Depending on the skin that may be also a bad idea :D

so i saved another copy of my favorite skin and then deleted all slider files (well, also the hitcircles, they should look the same^^)

it's 99% good now, but now it looks like this:

the "slider gap" between the 2 hitcircles is transparent xD

if i'm totally honest, this looks cool and I don't even know if i want to keep it ^^

but just in case: does anyone know how to revert it?

and a big THANKS to all of you! :D

Those sliders aren't transparent, they're black. Go into the skin.ini and erase the SliderTrackOverride line.

Just so you know.

Sliderstyle: 2 & 3 are both transparent if you don't want that, then change it to Sliderstyle: 1
