That's not too bad, really.
$45 seems expensive but it's fucking cheap as shit. How long would it take to draw? At least a few hours. Even if it only took 4 hours that's like saying "your time is worth barely above minimum wage"
If that were so then just how much would Danbooru/Gelbooru/alltheboorus be worth? And the rest of dA?
If all of that artwork is drawn/uploaded free of charge, then why should it cost money for the work of these special individuals?

There's a difference between hiring someone to do something and doing it because you feel like doing it. It's not "work" if you volunteer your own time and effort to do it. There's a good chance there's other things they'd prefer to be doing with their time and energyKitsunemimi wrote:

Instead of drawing, let's use the same argument for physical labor.
"If that were so much, then how much would my time lifting up my weight set or the time spent at the gym be worth? If all that lifting is done for free, why should it cost money for me to hire someone to move my furniture into my house?

You volunteer your own time to make something that the community benefits from.
But I'm sure as hell not going to hire you to build me a deck, and call it expensive when you ask for minimum wage, using the argument that there are a bunch of people doing community service for free.
