still doesn't change the fact that nobody came even close to the rate of improving tom had. he was basically considered to be one of the best players in the world after not even being here for one year and not even reaching 50k playcount.

OP stated "extremely good" so I won't bother with milestones involving just fullcomboing insanes.
Availability of hard maps is a factor (along with condition of the game).
If hard maps started coming out back in 2010 & 2011 Cookiezi would probably be "fastest" improved player.
He has been consistently improving even at the top level with the evolution of maps throughout these years so you don't realise it
