How about adding a key (possibly customizable in the options) that, in the beatmap editor, acts the same as clicking the "Tap" button? It could be helpful in some cases, I believe - like faulty mice or something like that.

Actually, you can use the T key to Tap.

Customizable in options... I dunno. It's fine as is by me.
