Thanks for formatting the starting post XPJ38. Looks nice and tidy.

Me neither. =/
Though I only noticed numbers two, seven and eight myself, they're annoying. =(
XPJ38
Oh by the way, protip: do not try to reproduce bug #11, you'll lose all your collections. I had to recreate mine from scratch and that was annoying >.<

You didn't notice number 6? Well shit XD

looks like it collections can be sorted now.

but it's incredibly annoying how it goes out of the collection every time you do so, if only it was just one collection showing at the time: p/2255685

Whoops. I meant six, not eight.

Still waiting for a fix. :(

Also I didn't see this in the topic but sorting by Artist/Creator, maybe more does not sort correctly.

After updating from an 1-month-old build, my favorites A/B weren't converted into collections, and just vanished from the game.

It also needs a delete confirmation. I just accidentally deleted my FavB list with 750+ maps in it and I'm really really REALLY pissed.

If you ever experience favourites deletion ingame, copy the osu! config file named after your computer into somewhere else while the game is still on. Then turn off the game and put that file back. It's only possible because config files don't get updated until osu! closes properly, which is why crashes always result up in "outdated" favourites.

A helpful tip for those facing such problems.

Editing a map in a collection removes it from the collection and makes osu! crashes

If you edit a map that's in a collection and save changes, it disappears from all collections it's in and if you try to add it to a collection afterwards osu! crashes.
I made a collection for my WIP maps so it's easier to browse through them, but with this problem it's kinda defeating the purpose.

Not sure how this would be fix-able since you change the beatmap and it makes sense for it to get removed from a collection..

XPJ38 edit: here's a screenshot of what happens after clicking on 1. just after editing the map:

After that, osu! is running but totally locked. Only way to get out of here is to close osu! by closing the window.
Not only editting remove's a beatmap from the collection, updating a beatmap will remove it either...

If you want to save all your other collections, you need to do this with collection.db file instead

If this still happens, and you want to get rid of favouritesA/B once and for all, you can edit osu!.YourWindowsUsername.cfg file with notepad and delete all song codes after FavouritesA = and FavouritesB = . The file's start should look like this:
FavouritesA =
FavouritesB =
TreeSortMode = Search
TreeSortMode2 = BPM
...

Don't forget to make a backup first though in case something goes wrong

Apparently favouriting maps in results screen does jack shit.

Someone please confirm this for me.

Thanks for the help, works fine.

when mass deleting(spamming X on each collection) something like this can happen:
y o k a t t a
I have been waiting for so long for something like Collections, but seems its pretty buggy and useless by now, I thing that right clicking, select 1, and choose collections to add the song to is pretty damn slow, I would love to have a ticky option to easily sort my songs while scrolling down all over the songs. :D

Edit: And the current collection menu should be more like for managing collections instead of choosing wich songs goes to each one, also it wold be helpful to have an option to choose wich collections you would like to show along the song selection menu. :P
XPJ38
Removed "missing label on 1. button" issue. I haven't checked if some of the other issues were gone though.
Subler
I've found that when you just opened a collection and press random it will select the first beatmap in the collection, but after that you can use random properly
lllL1lll
In addition to the favourites problem :
I've had some trouble with the undeletable favourites A and B myself, so I tried deleting every map one by one from the collection (700 maps T_T)
After relogging all the maps were back in my favourites, just as if I did nothing at all...

I haven't tried deleting just a map or two (not every maps) from the favourites though, it might work little by little, I don't know.

When navigating using left and right arrow, sometimes it happens to jump through different collections.

This happens when you put the same song in 2 different collections, and you get through them using arrow keys. It only happens when you navigate a collection which is located under the ones that contain the same song.
In other words, in the video, if I navigated in Test 1 using arrow keys nothing would have happened, because it's above the collection Test 2.

Confirming. Will merge this topic into this one.

edit: issue added to OP.

After editing the map goes away from collection and game don't react to any user's input events (but music still playing and animations are working).
Also next error message appears:

Already mentioned: issue #9 in OP.

adding this one:

The first time you randomize in any folder/grouping/collection the first map in that list will always be selected. Kind of wish randomizing were 100% random.

I just noticed that. Was about to report it

[woc2006] Totally get rid of favouritesA/B, backup your cfg file if you still need them.
problem 6 fixed?
ryuu
hi.
this has happened several times already.
i just play and then decide to add something to the collection. that's all.
"After that, osu! is running but totally locked."
and the only way to close osu is to kill the process through task dispatcher.
florrat
I also have a issue with collections. I do not see the issue in the first post.

The problem occurs if I try to remove a map from a collection. I do that by
Right click map -> Manage Collections -> Select collection -> Remove -> Close.
If I do this, then the map is removed from the collection, as desired. But when I close osu! and then start it again, the map is back in the collection.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or osu! is (probably the former). I assume it has something to do with writing privileges, but it also occurs if I run osu! as administrator. Dunno if it matters, but I have Windows 7.

When removing a song from my collection, it seems to return after restarting my Osu.
Also when playing a song from my collection, if it's in another collection as well, I will alway end up in the lowest collection afterwards.

Thanks in advance for fixing this asap ;-)
NixXSkate
If I play a song in a collection folder that's also in another collection folder under it, it will return me to the lower-most collection folder that map when I finished playing.
(For example, I have a folder called "Stream Practice", and under it is "Favorites A". If I go into "Stream Practice" and play a song that's also in "Favorites A", I will be returned to the "Favorites A" collection instead of the "Stream Practice" collection.)
Not sure if this bug was mentioned before.

Some bugs fixed.( 1 - 4 in list)

Bug found while spectating someone.
Not sure if it's allready mentioned here so I'll just say it.
