7K: and here real shit begins. I'd been playing Lunatic Rave for quite a while and, as I didn't have much money to buy a normal BMS controller, I started to seek for that "perfection" that might substitute the real BMS contoller. My first option was the original keyboard layout - Z S X D C F V ( white - black, white - black correspondingly ). It was okay at the very begining, as the beatmania skin matched the layout perfectly and that allowed for fast key recognition. But later on, when I started to play 7-8 diff. songs my fingers would always cross each other and that annoyed the hell out of me. It was the first sign that I needed to change my setup.
Then I thought of spreading my layout across all the keyboard so that I could be able to manoeuvre my fingers more quickly which resulted in
-> Z E V Y M O ? -> Z E V H M O ? -> A E G Y J P " -> A W F Y J O : . Thus, as you can see, the distance between fingers was way too big, and it automatically ( if it's even possible to call it like that) began to shorten until the most comfortable layout was found for me -> A W F U J O :.
But there was one little thing that always kept me alarm and that was "the U J connection" as I used to call it. It was very difficult to switch between those keys. Now, when I finally managed to approach level 11 in bms , it is next to impossible to press those "special keys" one after another fast. This "UJ" has brought me so much frustration that I'm thinking of leaving the world of rhythm games. This time I'm about to make some serious changes -> I will give the standard o2mania layout one more chance and see how it all will turn out ( I hate it that pressing SPACEBAR requires so much stamina!!! ). So, my main keyboard layout now is S D F SPACEBAR J K L .
8K: RightShift A W F U J O : / RightShift S D F SPACEBAR J K L respectively.
P.S Sorry for numerous mistakes. I haven't used English in a long time.
