I was rank 60,000 a few days ago and i played on song on hard rock and got an S on it and then my rank was boosted to 120,000 i don't get it.

No i was not 600,000 that was when i first started but i was rank 60,000 yesterday and i played on song on normal and s'ed it and it went up to 120,000
you got a high rank on a new song giving you a lot of PP, when over time more people got better ranks than you your score got worth less PP. after that you played something else which updated your rank to show the correct one after the lost PP.
