Sorry for being late. This season's first impressions thread has now started. This time around, I decided to change a few things so that I don't have to do as much work. First off, I am going to try to put everything on google docs, so please go to https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... sp=sharing to post your votes. Next, I'll post screenshots of the google doc here (no idea how to embed the spreadsheet into my forum post). Beyond that, everything else is the same. Feel free to post about your opinions of the upmcoming season. On a side note, I might not have as much free time, so updates might be slow at times.

Aku no Hana:
Ummm.... Where to start. Before I download the show, I see gg's warning that this show is horrible, but for completion's skake, I decided to watch it anyway. First thing you will notice, the animation is dismal (probably on teh same lvl as maoyuu or worse). Next, you will suffer through one of the slowest and most unentertaining storytelling, I have seen in ages. Oh well, it ends with a fairly creepy ending "song" that I probably don't want to hear again. Dropping.

Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge:

As expected, the first episode for this was quite boring. Like the manga, the episode is a long explnation on the mc's hair festish, killing goods, and the hair queen. Animation was subpar, and nothing relaly could be used to show off the series. They tried to keep a dark mood throughout, but having no action, really hurts it. Regardless, death injections next episode, so I would wait for that before judging

Date A Live:
Probably one of the best things that aired so far. Great execution of jokes, passable action scenes (some of the scenes turned slightly blurry), and fairly faithful to the light novels (left out details about Reine and the school). I am pretty sure that they are one the right track for success, so just watch xD

Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince:
Another mech show, except the protagonist are such weak characters that I can't see much coming from this show. Combined with repetitive jokes, I don't really see this goign anywhere. The only thing good I can say about it is that the action scenes looked decent at times.

Hataraku Maou-sama!:
Another series that mixes a fair amount of comedy with a more serious plot. As a result, the beginning of the series was fairly serious with the war on the demon king, but the rest of the episode is very light hearted with jokes about living with no money in contrast to living as a demon king. The jokes were fairly enjoyable, so you just need to wait for the second half of the show.Beyond that animation looks fine, and the plot looks like it can go somewhere. As a result, I'll stick around.

Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Bride:
(Didn't watch first season) Another super low budget fanservice harem show. Not going to really say much more. However, I did find the shows sort of amusing.

My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong as I Expected(Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru):
To be honest, I really expected Brain Base to drop the ball on this, but I was mildly surprised. This show is definitely a much more typical shonen than some of Brain Base's previous works (Kamisama Dolls, Penguindrum, Durarara), as a result, Brain Base's animation was a lot more normal than what I expected. Looking beyond Brain Base a company, the animation for the show was decent with very bright colors, some attention to details, and some slightly creative ways in presenting things (rainbows). In addtion the show has a decent sense of humor (why didn't the mc tell ppl to just explode though). The only major problem I have with the show is that the male's seiyuu doesn't do the shifty attitude very well. I guess I can look over that though

Photokano:
Yet another low budget harem. Higher budget than Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Bride, but that is not saying much. As a result, expect lackluster animation with more fanservice than anything else. The show is also hurt by its lack of tension, bringing down the entertainment value of any jokes they have. Making this show quite boring to watch.

Red Data Girl:

I was a little let down by the quality of the art in this show. It was lower quality than the typical PA Works shows (still better than most). Beyond that, you see the typical girl being mistreated and some guy forced to serve her. None of it seemed that entertaining with few/no jokes... Seeems fairly easy for me to drop. Dropped
Sotodashi
Shingeki no Kyojin:
Watched the stream, and it definitely has potential. Good animations, faithful to the manga and fairly good VA. Too much speed lines though and the pacing could have been a bit better. The OP suited the anime pretty well. Not much to say since it was quite short.

edit: scratch that, the OP was awesome
Tenshichan
Date A Live:

This is the Anime which caught most of my interest and I was really looking forward to it. I really enjoyed the first episode. The art is very good and the story is going to be super awesome. I liked the characters so far, especially Kotori. Also, I did enjoy the bits of Fanservice they threw in, it gives it an extra bonus. =)

I will try the rest after I'm done with my exams.

Will update more later. Following simulcasts wherever possible, which means Karneval and Aku no Hana won't be covered for at least another day.

  1. Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge - Well, this was...weird. The fetishized nature of the show combined with some genuinely interesting elements is offset by some campy cinematography and great sound design. I'm very mixed on this show so far, so I'm giving it more chances to impress me.
  2. Date A Live - Fuck this show. You can only use the "oh it's a parody" excuse for so much, but you can't cover up terrible, malicious writing and shoddy execution.
  3. Devil Survivor 2 - Breasts are the major complaint here, and that's also my only major complaint here. It's a good setup episode, and it's actually easy to follow, for those who may not have played the game. It'll be interesting to see how it proceeds in this 1-cour series.
  4. Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W - Holy fuck, they took everything annoying about the first season and amplified it. The references are easy to spot but pretty hamhandedly-handled (the only reference I particularly giggled at was the nod to Bewitched at the very beginning of the episode), with the same joke being fired off over and over again in a quick-fire pace. It's pretty exhausting to watch. Giving it another chance, but it's grating.
  5. Hataraku Maou-sama! - Well, colour me impressed! I was not expecting anything out of this show in the least, and now I'm greeted with a decently-animated, well-scripted, well-paced comedy! It throws a few comedic big guns for its premise out here during the first episode, so I'm hoping it doesn't stagnate. However, this is easily the best comedy this season as of right now.
  6. Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai. (Oreimo 2) - We leave off right from where the ONAs did, with Kirino coming back from America and she's basically hit the reset button on her bitchiness. She is still easily the least redeemable part of this show, with Kuroneko showing signs of getting better. This is basically a tame reintroduction, with the true otaku celebration nature of the series not coming into play until 2/3s of the way through the episode. It's reminiscent of some of the more tolerable episodes of the first series, so, it gets a pass for now, I guess.
  7. Photo Kano - The major crime this one commits is being, well, boring as sin. Yes, the Photography Club is very skeevy, and there is a lot of fanservice inserted at awkward places. However, the lackadaisical pacing, bland characters, and rather uninteresting animation made me nearly fall asleep. The Photography Club/Photo Club stuff was entertainingly dumb enough to wake me up at the least, so it's not totally boring, but it reminds me a lot of Amagami SS in terms of generic designs, muted colour palette, and uninteresting execution. Pass.
  8. RDG: Red Datal Girl - This is just barely passing into green at this point. The character designs are rather standard fare for P.A. Works, but the typical animation stylings of the company in terms of their attention to detail (particularly in the scenery) are firing on all cylinders. The show was pretty stock shoujo fantasy stuff for a little bit, however. The circumstances surrounding Izumiko are interesting enough for me to want to see more, though. Also: this show REALLY likes portmanteaus.
  9. Shingeki no Kyoujin - Best first episode this year, hands down. From the grim nature to the sheer brimming potential on display to the absolutely gorgeous visuals to fantastic sound design and a brilliantly composed/utilized score...well, all of this for a 'this is the world and here are some circumstances' episode...just, yes. Watch this. It's well worth the investment already.
  10. Suisei no Gargantia - This show sucked me in right from the get-go. Exposition was fed in a way that was genuinely interesting, a vibrant and well-animated, well-choreographed space encounter (even the CG) greeted you shortly afterward, followed by some honestly intriguing set-up material on Earth. The sound design is competent, and I'm enjoying the fact that the script is making everything feel deliberate. It's going to be one to look out for this season.
  11. Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. (Oregairu) - What I see here is potential. The actors have got their parts down perfectly for their roles so far, but the script can occasionally get a bit preachy. The second half of the episode is less interesting than I hoped it would've been, with some particularly sexist stuff coming out of the mouth of our protagonist (luckily, it's framed in a way that is meant to make us hate the guy) and the whole episode was kinda rushed. I'm going to come back for more on this, but I expect improvement.
Also, I updated the Google Doc, feel free to organize it a bit better for the next update.

Thanks so much for the help on the Google doc Mogs. I'll update the first post soon.

Devil Survivor 2:
I was pretty surprised, this looked a lot better than the P4 aniamtion. The action scenes were decent, and the rest of the animation was solid. However, like P4's anime, the plotline is almost always, some trouble falls upon new member, and mc saves the day. I know the game itself is not that simple, so it slightly annoys me. Beyond that, I don't remember many jokes in the episode, so I'm afraid the series will have to depend a lot on its plot line. Since I don't like the plot line's execution much, I'll stay neutral here.

Oreimo S2:
Incredibly similar to first season, maybe too similar animation wise. The animation did not seem as detailed as some of today's standards, so a minor mark down for that. Besides that, the first few minutes of the episode were sort of boring with Kirino hiding everything like always, creating a bunch of boring repeated scenarios. However, after the beginning, the jokes are pretty much the same as last season, so watchers of the first season should watch, but if you are on the fence, try it and see if you care.

Shingeki no Kyogin:
Bascially everything you expected from trailer. Very nice action scenes and a mood that matches the manga very well. My only complaint is that there is a section where they panned stills excessively. That is a small markdown, so just ignore it and enjoy the rest fo the show.

Zettai Bouei Leviatan:
Yay, another low budget moe show. Somewhat lackluster animation combined with cliche jokes. The moeness helps it a bit, but for most ppl, I can't recommend this to them. (I'll probably watch another ep and decide then)

Edit:

Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san:
Slapstick humor about bascially every other genre... To say the last, the first episode is about a troll mermaid and a young fisher trading jokes left and right. Animation is pretty low budget, but quite a few of the jokes are entertaining. As a result, I would say try 1 ep and decide if these jokes are right for you.

Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san Z:

Like with Oreimo, I don't have much to say about a sequal. Similar low budget, dirty/perveted slapstick humor as the frist season. I dropped the first season because the jokes were too predictable, and the same holds true for the first episode of the second season. In addition, it felt like their were fewer attempts at jokes in this episode, so I am not going to bother watching this season. If you want to try it out, go ahead, it might be your type of humor, but don't expect too much.

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W:

Like every other sequal so far, exactly like last season. Xebec level animation (not that great) combined with lots and lots of references. The amount you enjoy this show is highly dependent on how much you laugh at the references, so try it out at your own risk.

I can't even give enough of a shit to write something on most of them.

Attack of the 50 ft Muscle Men:
Disappointing. I was hoping to at least see something impressive, but instead I got speed lines, wind and kids who don't sound like kids. The giants have no presence, have big dumb grins and just shuffle around.
The scene with all the blood raining down in slow motion was kind of funny though.
Verdict: Tried to make me care too hard about shit I don't care about, but didn't really put the effort in. I guess it will pick up later.

Majestic Prince:
The opposite of Kyojin, didn't do anything to make me care about anything that happened to anyone. Hirai Face.
Action scene was kinda cool and the sniper mech is great.
Verdict: But I don't care.

Singing Pretty Boys %2,000,000,000:
Pretty much the best thing ever.
Verdict: Hey babe, I'm gonna do somethin' special for you tonight. We're gonna get all uncomfortable and I'll force myself on top of you, get in real close to your face and then move away again leaving you stunned and repeating "Huh? Eh?"

Shingeki no Kyojin
I just watched this and it's the shit this season. It's friggin' amazing how much emotions and content fit into just the pilot episode. I can't say I like the MC but it's not like I dislike him as well, the main cast is pretty okay I guess (not sure if I maybe would've liked 'em a bit older, but that's fine). Let's see if (and if yes, how) my view of him changes throughout the progress of the story. Extremely looking forward to the next episodes.
Dat killer face lol

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru (Oregairu)
I'm positively surprised by the animes, I thought this would end up like every other standard LoveCome but I do believe that this one actually has more potential than the other normal ones. The MC is kinda funny, the quarrels are zippy and the heroine also looks pretty interesting (though nothing too out of the normal). The plot so far is neatly done :D

Hataraku Maou-sama
What can I say, when I first heard them talk the rubbish language, I though they'd tried to cripple out some weird french, when I eventually noticed that they're talking complete bullshit. In the end it was kinda entertaining for me and the MgRonald thing is lol.
What can you say to this, I just found this to be enormously enjoyable.

Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge
Well, derp. This is really weird, I kinda liked it but it's so wtf and so sudden and nothing's explained xD
Let's see if there's gonna be some more explanations later on, so far this is pretty cute :p

Photo Kano
Well...can't rly comment on this. Watched this 3 days ago and I already forgot everything about it, just the rough details lol.
I remember it to be not exactly bad but nothing outstanding as well, just extremly average. Gonna see how it turns out, but I don't set my expectations too high

Date A Live
Honestly, I don't understand where the hype comes from. I see this as a 2nd Infinite Stratos, the usual moeblob kawaii shit harem with a generic dense MC. As much as the plot doesn't interest me though, I can't say I disliked it. I watched the full minutes of the episode without feeling like dropping it, I guess I got brainwashed by the heroine who I kinda like (but that's kinda the only target of the anime in a story like this, I guess).
Either way, I'm standing neutral to this one

OreImo 2
I don't know, I just don't like it I guess =p
Lance
I've had very, very little time for anime the past few months, but I got around to watching Shingeki no Kyoujin and Oreimo 2. Both are as I expected. Shingeki no Kyoujin has excellent animation and backgrounds, not to mention a very interesting plot itself. Oreimo is oreimo. Some hate it, but I am not one of them.
Mogsy
Okay, time for more.

  1. Aku no Hana - Fuck the haters, this show is brilliant. Yes, the rotoscoping may look ugly, but you have to look at this within the overall context of the story. It's subject matter that's pretty skeevy (at least in the original source) that seems like it'd be fetishized with standard anime designs. It's too subdued for live action, however. The animation doesn't always work, but it paints a realistic picture of the scenario. The pacing here is perfect, and the major winner here is the atmosphere. Holy shit, what an unrelentingly tense atmosphere. This show is brimming with potential for traumatizing experiences, but with such mastery over itself, that being one that stays with you long after you watch it, combined with some honestly good writing...well, you've got one of the best shows of the season. Tied with Shingeki no Kyoujin and Suisei no Gargantia for my favourite so far.
  2. Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san - Kinda hard to sit through. Take the concept of Squid Girl, the style of humor of Senyu, and forget to make it funny. The only potentially funny thing here is the OP.
  3. Mushibugyo - If you're looking for a mindless shonen monster-slaying show, here you go. The animation's just above okay, the fanservice is distracting and unnecessary, and it's pretty average. Fight choreography is nice, however, and that's really all I have to say about it. It's dumb and entertaining.
  4. Karneval - Just on the cusp of green, but barely missed the mark. A lot of similarities to K here in terms of not explaining a damn thing that's going on, but it's at least nice to look at and for those interested, the guys are indeed quite attractive. It's a bit more grounded than K so far, however, so I will be continuing it.

Ketsuekigata-kun!: Low budget show about blood with fast jokes that weren't that funny...Dropped

Suisei no Gargantia: I have mixed feelings about this one. At first, I was like wow great attention to detail, but they show me the Gundam level random circle explosion lines. Those made me depressed. Beyond graphics, the plot hasn't really went anywhere groundbreaking, nor has it went anywhere interesting. As a result, I'm going to stay neutral on it.

I'll update the google doc later, but it would be very nice if everyone can add to the google doc. (Again, thanks for doing your part Mogs)

Sparrow's Hotel:
Yay, a low budget fanservice series now. Add on inhuman strength from the chick and typical jokes revolving the good looking air headed girl in a hotel setting and we get this series. In short, probably not worth your time.

AIURA:
Spending 90s of 240s on op/ed + bad animation + 1 bad/low tension joke = dropped (admittedly the op was sort of interesting)

Hayate no Gotoku! Cuties:
Maybe it is just, but this first episode wasn't that amusing to me. Maybe it is because they are the overused Hayate jokes. Maybe it is because similar chapters were alredy done in the manga. Regardless, I wasn't really amused by the first episode. However, because of my biases, I'll keep it neutral for now, and judge it later.
Kuria
Shingeki no Kyojin:
believe it or not i almost cried when i'm already on 4/5 part of the 1st episode lol
the storyline, the pace, the friggin art and ost, they're all so magically blend so well and so forming a top notch anime quality, even in just one episode lol
i even don't have any idea about this anime or the manga's existence until i saw many people download it on nyaatorrent lol, but i'm really glad that i watch it right away after i read many great impression from the people that already watch the 1st episode :D
fuck out with KajiKaji's hater, he's doing great job with Eren's character by his pessimistic like voice xD
after that, i read the whole manga chapter of this story and then now i'm attempt to map the epic opening song and thy to make it rank here https://osu.ppy.sh/s/87630 lol

tl;dr: see my avatar

11/10

Suisei no Gargantia:
actually i'm almost sleep when watching the first half of the 1st episode because of it's slow pace and unknown storyline, but on the 2nd half, it's starting to became interesting when the MC arrived on the unknown place (supposed to be earth?) and met the (main heroine?) girl there xD

still unable to figured out how this story will going on, but knowing that GEN is the one who's in charge on the script, i expect that this story will became more interesting than the current one, the other aspect are already on really high quality (art, song, voice) so i hope they will represent the good story too and not end up became another GC-like anime lol

9/10

Photo Kano:
i must admit that this show have the most beautiful character design out of all anime that shows on this season, it's soooo pretty and eye-warming *____*
the problem is, i'm not really sure with the story itself, seems like this was adapted from visual novel, more again with the unusual themes that is camera, photography and stuff, so i'm expect that this can turns out good and not end up became another bittersweet romance comedy or harem-comedy anime.

8/10 for now

Oreimo 2:
watched it because i watched the 1st season and ova, and wanna continue it just for the sake of the storyline
the rest is good, but i still hate that kirino's personality, along with her bro XD

8/10

Hataraku Maou-sama:
i'm really laugh hard when watching the 1st episode, DAT language!
well i'm actually hope that this show will have more action knowing that the intros have that nicely done fighting scene, but i think it will be not since this show will focus more on the romance-comedy (yeah i'm read the manga andsomewhat i can figured out how it will turns)
art is good, and so the seiyuu :3

8.5/10

Devil Survivor 2:
whoa, interesting story. But i'm kinda worry with it's pace since it feels a bit rushed here and there
the theme song is cool especially the ending one, wow
still not used yet with the character art, but it seems good enough for me :3 (yeah, although actually i do played most of the persona series)

8.3/10

the rest seems so so for me, so i'll not include them on my primary list for now XD

Aku no Hana:
should i read the manga instead? :D

??/10

Date a Live:
annoyed with that bitch-little sister orz
the art and chara is good though, i just don't like that it seems that this will turns out to be a harem series >_>
maybe i'll keep watching this until i get bored with it lol

7.5/10?

Arata Kangatari:
Another lackluster action show. Usual lack of detail, blured lines, low budget action, and a few random spurts of detail are not meant to produced a good action show. Add on a slow, low tension feel and you get this. The plot may be interesting if it was faster, so I might check out the manga. However, the anime was too boring for me to consider continuing

» Date A Live
I have read the LN and I'm taking a liking to it so I would watch its TV animation.

» Oreimo 2
I have watched its first season and it was good.
This makes me have an interest on watching how Kousaka will deal about his little sister. <.<
Even they are not really siblings

» Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W
I'm disappointed about copying some scenes on other series ( like Konata on Lucky Star's OP ).
But still, I'll be watching this. It makes me get attracted to something that I can't understand ( lol )

That's all. I won't be posting my impressions on the other anime series. I'll be keeping it as my opinion.

Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge:

Let's see, I probably watched this because I thought nothing good could come out of such a plot (when I read the summary, of course). The characters behave unnaturally and erratically; usually following no common sense. For example, MC meets a girl and he's already mumbling things about not cheating on her (as if they're committed already). It's weird, it's got a weird pace, plot, character development, voicing, and weird fetishes in there. It tries to get you immersed in the tense, emotional, and dark moments, but the weird pacing just doesn't let you.

In case I haven't said it enough, this is a weird show; it's got me baffled right now. I can't tell whether it's bad or good just because the weirdness has taken me aback. I'm going to keep watching to find out, but goddamn this is weird

Hataraku Maou-sama!:

AOTS? AOTS

Well not really I've only watched four shows now

This is actually pretty damn good. Visuals and sound are pretty good by any standard, it's well-paced, the plot is great, and the humor is top-notch. It's innovative, in the sense that it's the opposite of having the MC being whisked from a simple lifestyle away to another fantastic dimension (Dog Days, Mondaiji, etc) and it executes it well.

Really interested, though I think it could go downhill later on; I'll have fun finding out though.

My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong as I Expected(Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru):

It's interesting. Characters don't behave... strangely, the humor's pretty good, and it's a good deconstruction of the love comedy genre. As far as writing goes it's excellent, although some parts in the dialogue can get rough. Visuals and sounds aren't particularly amazing, but they're passable--not bad but not good either. Still pretty fun, have to admit.

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai. (Oreimo 2):

Not sure what to say here. I'm leaning more to the green side with this, but I haven't seen anything particularly amazing here since it's more of an introdcution really. I'll keep an eye on it for now.

Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge (episode 2):
A lot changes from ep 1 to ep2. Gone are the long explanations and the super drawn out events. We have 2 manga chaps in 1 ep, and the execution of injection girl's fight is quite creepy well done.In addition, the showing of the strangling scenes really adds to the mood of the series. While there are still departments that the series can improve in. I would definitely recommend giving the second ep a shot.

Date A Live
I kinda don't like how it seems that they do random timeskips. For me it feels they wanna rush the story a bit and cram possibly 4 volumes in 12 eps, which is too much imo. I do like Kotori though, kawaii imouto~

A moe show that I didn't find that funny...How can that be? T_T Add on lackluster aniamtion....Dropped.

Toaru Kaguku no Railgun S:
It's railgun, need I say more. This time it is acutally following the manga's plot, yay. Any shortage in animation, very tiny bit here and there, but they definitely have a decent looking series. Also, the typical humor you expect from railgun is there as well. If you enjoyed first season, you should definitely watch this. If you are new to the series, try it out.

Valvrave the Liberator:
Finally a decent looking mech show for the season. However, humor wasn't that strong and plot seems incredibly generic besides the ending. I'll watch for a bit longer before I judge.

Mushibugyo
Seven Arcs, please tell me that the money you are saving on this show is going toward the 3rd Nanoha movie. Weak on animation, plot, and humor. I'll stick with reading the manga.

On another note, I am not liking where Devil Survivor 2 is going. It's still really early, and honestly character portrayals are looking silly. Io is more fragile than a dead leaf for one. Buuuuuuuuut that's just me having preconceived expecations based on my experience and attachment to the original game.

Probably gets a lot better.

Haven't seen all the anime that came out this season but oh well

Aku no Hana: This anime has caught my interest. Not with the animation but the creepy as hell vibes coming from it and oh god the ED...

Date A Live: I'm dropping the anime because I just don't like it, I just gonna continue reading the light novels (which are better btw)

Oregairu: Thought it was gonna be typical romcom stuff but I was wrong and I'm loving it.

Photokano: I usually stick around through harems but I just don't like this one I hate it, even didn't finish the 1st episode lol

Devil Survivor 2: I watch it but I dropped it, not because I don't like it though. I didn't play the game to it and don't want to get spoiled somehow idk

Oreimo S2: Eh, I just glad it got a second season but I'll stick around and might come to like it
Magicphoenix
Suisei no Gargantia

fk yes i like dis
Scarlet Devil_old_1
Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge: Though it was gonna be about a dude obsessed in cutting people hair, but the plot is decent imo. Like

Shingeki no Kyoujin: I fucking loving this show, need I say more?
Kyonko Hizara
Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S:
It's railgun, that's all there is to say. It's everything I hoped it was going to be from what I've watched of it and it is following the manga's plot, which is an up from me. I definitely suggest this to anyone looking for a new series to watch.

Suisei no Gargantia (episode 2):
People call Devil Survivor 2nd ep boring with the amount of talking it has, but then there is this. Talking with little/no drama for about 20min, and then op robot saves the day....Dropping this before I fall asleep

Karneval: (finally got around to it)
Action scenes here are fairly detailed, and look quite decent at times....but the people seem to have a poor sense of physics. The twin tail girl has some super stiff hair that doesn't move at all when she fights. In addition, the show doesn't explain things that well or keep a sense of tension. As a result, I
have mixed feelings when watching the show. In one instance, I am bored. The next instantance, I am excited. After that, I am slightly bored/confused, and it goes on like that. I think I'll have to wait till later to make a decision.

I'm a little worried at how rushed Data A Live is, but I'll comment on that when 3rd ep comes out.

Aku no Hana:After watching the end of episode 2, I decided no god can be any help for this show and erased this show from my pc and from my memory. What a stunning animation it was, MY ASS!! It's so bad that I need to watch 5 episode of K-ON! so I can get sleep without any worry about nightmare. If you like the story, go read the manga instead.

Toaru kagaku no Railgun S:Everything that has Misaka Mikoto on the line are epic by defahult :p Jokes aside, the first episode is good here and there, they showed up the queen so damn early and we even have Meltdowner in the opening. Female Level 5s are taking care the show properly.[/color]

I refuse to add further comment on Aku no Hana since people seem to not be able to look past skin-deep elements.

But yeah, I'm an episode behind on titles already, but I figured I should still post first-episode impressions.

  1. Valvrave the Liberator - Only a blue purely due to its quality, enjoyment level would put this firmly into the green. I'm quite enjoying this stupid little show, with a plot that harkens back to older, simpler mech days. We are living in a post-Geass world and it shows here, with stunning animation and an ending twist that's pretty dumb, but I'm looking forward to more.
  2. Yuyushiki - Boring. Dull. It's yet another moe show. It's more tolerable than most until it goes into the flirtatious humor. Still less annoying than Date A Live (certainly more harmless than it) and Nyaruko W.
  3. Arata Kangatari - Yuu Watase doing a shonen fantasy-action show? Well, now. The execution in this first episode is rather generic, but I do like the way Watase's art style is captured in this as opposed to Celes and Fushigi Yugi. This show still needs to prove itself, though.
  4. Mushibugyo - Lower rung of the long list of blues here. It's pretty pants-on-head dumb, and the animation isn't up to snuff, and the fanservice is distracting. However, there's this simple, old-school charm to it that makes it entertaining, at the very least.
KuroyuriArlovS
I'm not good at giving reviews/impressions and my thoughts are heavily affected by my weird taste of anime so uh pardon

Aku no Hana
I'm glad I'm not the only one here who actually like this series. Sure the characters don't look as good as in the manga, but I haven't read the manga so I don't care.

Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge
I've been following Crime Edge manga since the first two chapter is out online (and then went hiatus for a long time probably?or i just forgot to check for update again.. because i remember not reading it again for a long time until the anime is announced) and I don't think the anime adaption is bad. Animation is smooth and beautiful, Iwai looks cuter than in the manga.

Date A Live
The first episode really caught my interest and the second episode is even better. Cute characters, enjoyable, not-awkward fanservices. Can't wait for the rest of the characters to show up.

Devil Survivor 2 The Animation
I kind of wish they'd make Devil Survivor anime (because i like the heroine hohuho) instead of Devil Survivor 2 but it's ok. The pace may kind of feel rushed at the first episode, but story is interesting so worth to watch. I love the characters, can't wait for Ureu Mono to get his episode instead of appearing for a short time in the middle or end of the episode.

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W
Watched this because I enjoyed the first season, and the second season didn't disappoint me. Love the OP, no storyline yet I think? are there even any ever but their randomness is amusing as always

Karneval
Uh how should I say this... people were hyping about Karneval anime before it was out but maybe because I didn't read the manga, it's pretty disappointing. Usually I find characters like Nai adorable but him is just ugh nearly on the line to my 'annoying-characters-list'. Tsukumo is really pretty tho so I guess I'll give it another chance.

Oreimo 2
Watched this because I watched the first season, and Kirino's still as annoying as ever.

RDG - Red Data Girl
Has potential to be good if the relationship between the servant boy and the main girl character don't change throughout the story, but I guess they'll bud romantic relationship sooner or later so orz. Animation is amazing as expected from P.A Works.

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S
I miss the Railgun and Index cast!!!(except there won't be any Index in this season probably) The first episode reminds me of how much I used to love To Aru Kagaku no Railgun ah especially more characters from the manga will appear in this season so can't wait for the next episode.

Yuyushiki
Aghogh the animation is not good and the character design and story are boring... probably similar to YuruYuri (except YuruYuri is way better in every aspect). Except you enjoy watching girls talking about random boring stuff and whatnot (like I do), don't watch.

also, plan to watch
Arata Kangatari
Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince
Hataraku Maou-sama
Shingeki no Kyoujin
Suisei no Gargantia
Valvrave the Liberator
Zettai Bouei Leviathan
and UtaPri MAJI LOVE 2000% but I haven't watched the first season and am too lazy to so o<-<

Edited the doc, btw.
Synchrostar
Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko
omg moe overload (azuki azusaaaaaaaaa... tsukiko is cute as well >.>)
added entry for Henneko in doc

Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Bride
uncensored version galore~
Guess it has the same feeling as the first season for me, not expecting too much from it (not in a bad way)
KuroyuriArlovS
Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince
I've been taking interest on mecha anime lately, and I really enjoy Majestic Prince first episode. The fighting animation is incredible, and I like how the members of Team Rabbit don't get along which initiates the joke and humor on this show. I hope their relationship stays like this until the end (or at least they start to get along) and no stupid romance will be involved

btw, I just realized there's no Uta no Prince-sama MAJI LOVE 2000% on the google doc_(:3_
Sotodashi
Railgun S

Doesn't seem to be following the manga all that well, reserving myself for when I actually watch it.
Scarlet Devil_old_1
Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S: More Biribiri? Oh hell yes

Hentai Ouji to Warawaranai Neko: I love this show, can't really say nothing about it lol
KuroyuriArlovS
Valvrave the Liberator

Almost dropped in the middle because man, when the spotlight is on the highschool the story gets really boring. The main male character is really wimpy and ugh can he just stop screaming the main female character's name. I'm more interested in what L-Elf's group is doing. Giving this another chance tho because of the twist at the end of ep 1, L-Elf is beautiful, and Yuki Kaji voices one of the (supporting /sobs) character.
WATCHED EP 2 HOLY SHIT DID HE JUST RECEIVED PHONE CALL IN OUTER SPACE HOW DOES THAT EVEN WORK
Meatstick_old
Hentai ouji: Entertaining manga, but dropped it because it wasn't as interesting as anything else i was doing
valvrave: holy shit this is like gargantia but bad dropped
oreimo2: same old shit, entertaining enough to watch the next episode but not be excited for it
railgun2: same old railgun but unlike oreimo maintains the interest and anticipation of the next episode
yuyushiki: slice of life done badly. dropped
hayate no gotoku 94: same old stuff, if you like it good if you don't don't bother
gargantia: favorite show this season, approaches old cliches with a new light
devil survivor 2: was there even a 1? whatever, it's decent i guess
arata kangatari: great premise executed in an extremely shitty way. not worth watching.
KinkiN
HenNeko : somehow it's similar to kantoku. Azusa <3

Date A Live : Haven't watch it. but already fallen in love with Kurumi <3

Devil Survivor : Already searched in goggle for that app. wish i can have it lol

Hataraku maou-sama : Funny

OreImo2 : Too much stories that hasn't been explained.

Samurai Bride : *nosebleed*

Nyarko : no comment.
xsrsbsns
Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko - Funny and cute, overall great show so far. I normally get annoyed by lolis but not in this show (probably because Tsukiko doesn't have an awfully high-pitched generic loli voice)

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru - Cute characters but as for content, not what I was expecting.. too much eighth-grade syndrome in anime recently, and the comedy generally fails to get me. Dropped because of blushy shota in episode 3.
Fadil
Date A Live : I think the story is pretty good, even though we all know it'll end up as a harem ,duh. But I'm really looking forward to this series,i dunno but i just have a feeling like this thing is going to be pretty awesome ( Despite the harem shithead MC ;p)
so.... 9/10 ;p

Shingeki No Kyojin : Artwork,OP/ED,Storyline,Character,The voice acting.....you know what these things have in common? They are P-E-R-F-E-C-T!!
that's it.I have nothing else to say.Totally speechless.EPIC.The point is : This anime is going to blow your minds dammit!
Definitely 10/10

Karneval: Pretty boring, but the characters are a bit interesting.I didn't found the "spark" that makes every series amazing, still not sure to drop it or not -__-v
Well 7/10 duh :|

Now that I have enough time to watch Anime a small update:

Date A Live - My opinion about this Anime didnt change. It is funny and I like the plot, with the dating sim and the choices and stuff.
Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko - Cute characters, very funny and the art by Kantoku is amazing. Probably the best Anime this season. I thought I would die because of Cuteness overflow while watching.
Oreimo 2 - Basically, it can only be good, because it is Oreimo. I really enjoyed the first season and I am glad that the second season starts as amazing.
Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W - The first season was awesome, and the second is again very funny, entertaining, and Nyaruko is still the best.
Shingeki no Kyojin - The first episode was quite a shock already and I can see that this is going to be damn exciting. Definately a must watch this season.
Photokano - Although it doesnt receive many positive opinion I really enjoyed this one. Very nice characters and a lot of fanservice - no reason for me to not enjoy it.
RDG - Red Data Girl - I guess it is okay, but It is hard to get whats going on. Probably it is getting interesting so I want to keep watching.
Zettai Bouei Leviathan - At first I was skeptical but after the 3rd episode I really enjoyed this so far. It is funny and the characters are really cute :3

gonna update this soon when I watched the rest. Im kind of in a rush now ^^.
