I've been curious about the value of using different types of amplifiers with headphones. In the past, I've only tried a few sources and noticed no real difference aside from volume when I used a small FiiO amp (not exactly what you'd call high end). Can't really test any amps at home without blowing a lot of money, plus my headphones are relatively low impedance anyway.peppy wrote:

I use it to run my UE900s, UE TripleFi, beyer DT990s and apple earpods (don't underestimate those things when powered with a good amp – they sound quite amazing!). It has travelled with me over the years and served me well.
