Error poping up when closing osu! [Resolved]

Problem details:
"osu!.exe - system error"

"A new guard page for the stack cannot be created"

this pops up (i think) when i try to play a beatmap and it doesn't load.

osu! version: Stable 20210129.3 (latest)

How long have you had this issue for? Your thread title and the content of your post conflict slightly, does this occur when playing beatmaps or closing the game (or both)?

You should try restarting your PC if you have not already.

This issue just popped up out of nowhere (I don't know the reason, it just started appearing one day). It only occurs when i close the game. I'm pretty sure i already tried restarting my pc but i can do one more time for good measure. I also tried unninstalling and installing the whole game and used the repair function of osu!, both of them didn't work

You are getting a Windows error, it's probably not specifically related to osu! which is likely why reinstalling didn't do anything.

I'm having trouble figuring out exactly what error it is though because I don't think it is translating well.

updating windows seemed to fix it
