No special tab neither new mode selection [resolved]

Explain the issue you are having: After updating osu (It updated successfully) when I entered osu, I couldn't find the "Special" tab nor could I find the new modes change thing. My skin is also as it was before the update. Everything is the same as before the update except the special tab is missing. I tried to re-download-install it 5x atleast. I even directly copy-pasted the osu files from my sisters pc, where It works flawlessly and the new mode change tab has appeared. She also has the new HD skin etc.

P.S. I'm on a mac

the special games modes are now accessed through solo mode. there should be a modes button next the mods at the bottom on the screen beside the back button

As I said, that is missing from my osu. Check the screenshots.

dam, it's not there. well, for some reason, your skin hasn't updated to the new version. and it's not in the updater either. so i'm not sure sorry :(

It looks like your osu! didn't download the new gameplay and UI packages. Try downloading the files manually and extracting them into your osu! folder.

Run the updater again? If that doesn't work, download the most recent osu!.exe manually? If neither of those work, I'm out of ideas.

Again did as you said, Seems like It's still not working. Well, hope someone comes up with more ideas ^-^. Thanks alot for trying to help tho ~

Did you extract the DLL files themselves into the osu! folder or just put the .dll.zip files in it? A bit of a silly question, but I can't think of why else it wouldn't work.

Extracted of course. I'm generally better then most people in computers ~ No noob ;D

Do you have the "Prefer new default when skin not available" checkbox on the Skins tab? If so, try checking it.

Have done that, well. Whatever, I gave up. I just made a bootcamp windows on my mac. Working on the windows side, hope peppy will fix the mac side some day too ^-^! Thanks for tryin to help everybody.

I tried manually downloading ALL of those three and extracting them my osu! older.. and i also downloaded the new osu! you mentioned in the thread later on but they all didnt work and still the error is there.. :(
