When I first thought of it, it was my initials, and therefore Gee-Ay-Pee-Aich To-Thow-Zand, just like it looks. Then as I started to use it everywhere, I just pronounce it "Gaf". I also go by "G2K", pronounced using the idividual characters, or sometimes pronounced Gee-Twalk, which is spelled GtwoK (My Live account).
(BTW, the 2000 is what yahoo gave as a suggestion when "gaph" was taken already. Also, G2K, incase you haven't realized, is Gaph and then 2000 abreviated, like in Y2K)
