So I got a new keyboard recently and in the past few days my arms have has this numb feeling whenever i used my keyboard, and today i noticed that it was gone but when i play my wrists hurt a lot more than usual. I was wondering if that could be signs of rsi, and if so, is there anything that I can do to help it?

Edit : i also changed my keybinds when i got the new keyboard. Also my old keyboard was just my laptop's keyboard and i am now using a mechanical one.

a good first step would be to stop mashing out 6-7star manip charts all the time. Your accuracy heavily falls off over 6 stars and play history indicates that you've been focusing them quite a bit. Theres nothing wrong with playing fast or stamina intensive stuff, but based on the symptoms youre experiencing you either arent conditioned enough, arent warming up enough, or are playing too much.

As far as the health of your hands and wrists are concerned, you either need to take breaks from time to time or you need to lower the intensity of some of your sessions. Numbness and wrist "hurting a lot more than usual" is a sign that you might be at risk of doing some permanent damage and is usually a good indication to stop playing and consult a physician.

Alright, thanks for the advice. But i am still questioning if i should just play easier maps right now or take a long break before and play easier maps when i come back.

I'd advise you to take a break for a week or two to allow for your hands to heal. if you're still experiencing symptoms, see a doctor before playing osu!mania or any game / activity that would worsen the injury through repetitive jerky motions.

If after a week or two your symptoms subside, i'd recommend building back up to higher speeds slowly, stopping if you start experiencing pain and numbness again. As long as you arent trying to push your limits every single session and you're warming up effectively, you should be alright. just pay attention to how your hands and wrists feel and remember that 3-5star charts exist too. playing lower stuff is good practice for accuracy and consistency, but it also doubles as a way to give your hands and wrists a break with lower intensity sessions.

Make sure you take care of yourself, it is just a game after all ^^
