Improvement in what, coloring? His previous works (at least the ones I've seen) had *better* proportions and anatomy. Here you see a gigantic front leg coming out of it's neck, a weird eye that's most likely not even looking where he intended, and I've no idea if that thing behind it's back is the other front leg.
