Marathons to measure you skills
its something that stamina players use to benchmark general skill level and progression in light of the fact that star ratings and pp rankings do a terrible job of it.
there are many different sets of dans which attempt to do different things, but you can generally assume a certain level of competency based on the number / greek letter / random word denoting a player's highest dan cleared.
