How to reset stamina/rest more efficiently?

I've been having a good skill boost recently and I've been wanting to play mania more often but my stamina hasn't necessarily been the best, having to pause on runs through Dan's and near-fingerlocking at the end of stamina intensive maps. This is still my first year so any and all advice are welcome :D

  1. dont push too far out of your comfort zone, playing things which are too draining for you can cause your stamina to not fully reset for the rest of your session
  2. take short breaks in your session when needed, stand up, etc
  3. understand your limits, if something feels too uncomfortable to play than don't continue playing it. HOWEVER, avoid quitting on maps due to stamina. playing long, intensive stuff is how you improve your stamina, but like stated before, there's a big difference between playing things which are too intensive and things which are not intensive enough. try to look for a certain bpm for certain patterns you find comfortable
  4. if you have multiple sessions per day, dont start a new session until your hands feel like they're rested enough to move enough for songs. they will not feel as rested as they were in your first session so this takes some guesswork

tap lighter, try not to tense up too much

and maybe not as important, but some times I miss purpose if im falling behind or to readjust myself to the patterns


also if you must resort to pausing then you probably shouldnt be playing whatever youre playing btw
