It's so easy to get banned or silenced it's not even funny
I mean some forums employ "carpet bans" where they'd ban every user that posted in the thread. The worst part is that this happens arbitrarily and randomly--it's rare enough that you don't develop an instinct to steer clear from shit threads but not rare enough to say it's not a problem. Months can pass where shit threads simply get locked instead of getting bombed.

If you get banned in osu! forums, you get banned from your whole account and can't access any online features?

Banned from a subscription/paid Ragnarok Online server due to trading account-hacked stolen items (i.e someone hacked someone else's account, used the unknowing me as a mule and transferred their items to his own). Banned from 2003 to 2012. Never resubbing there ever again because they basically gave me the finger when i petitioned the ban over the fact that i didn't even know about the items being stolen/hacked until i was banned - that and i think they've closed shop already.
Countless CS 1.6 and CoD servers for merely trying to connect with a vanilla client. No idea why, they just give me 'you have been permanently banned from this server' message.

Was banned from the MMORPG RuneScape for Macroing/Third Party Software use seeing I was farming gold on the game through scripts I created.
All the bans were perm; however I never really enjoyed the game. If somebody wants 1,000,000 gold (took about a few hours to get) for $6 USD then sure, I'll do it. That was about 4 years ago though.
