Starting out 7k (Total Novice)

I suddenly got the inspiration from my friend who's good at 7k and decided to give it a try.
Can you guys give me some actual tips other than play more? like my scroll speed, what skin should I use, maps I should play.

My current scroll speed is 15, skin is O2Jam Ultimate, maps im currently playing is converts.
I'm still extremely confused with button clicking independency especially with the space bar.

Any suggestions for starting out?

you should only change your scrollspeed once you're used to the game and know how to hit notes. as for your skin, i reccomend a skin that has distinctively coloured notes for each side coloumn (i.e., the notes next to the space bar are one colour, notes next to them are a different one, etc) because it makes it easier to tell the columns apart

yes thank you I am doing those right now, now for the beatmaps, I cant seem to find packs for 7k, and im sure as heck not gonna download 1 by 1 manually

some packs:
bms piano pack
maplestory piano pack
davteezy bms converts (more difficult stuff)

be sure to have your effects volume up for the piano packs, they're fully keysounded
7K takes a while to get used to (especially the spacebar) but if you stick with it you'll be fine

also i snuck a look at your recent plays and there are lot of standard converts; in case you don't know, you should probably stay away from those after you get used to the 7K controls, they aren't well-patterned
