~Insane~

00:38:691 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - I think this pattern it's kinda hard to read at first sight, not sure though. I have some testplays and this patterns was fine, but I'll maybe change this someway.

Nice map, really well done!

  • Come from popner's exchange Mod queue
    :) Really a nice song.
These are my own suggestions though.
[Insane]

  • 00:44:868 (4) - put it at x.308 y.60 will make it more like a square

00:47:338 (4,5,6,7,8) - maybe try to place them in DSx1.4 and put 6 a bit lower cuz it nearly touch the HP bar.

00:50:515 (4,6) - try to exchange the position of 4 and 6 i think this makes a better flow

00:51:044 (1,2,3,4) - i prefer sliders here instead of notes
00:58:456 (3,4) - make it a slider may be better.
00:54:750 (6,7,8) - i'd prefer to place these three like this

    01:01:985 (5,6) - i don't like to have too much notes like this(like

    some english song mappers did)
so i suggest to have it like this

    01:02:691 (3,4) - ^^
01:32:956 (5,6,7,8) - make it regular like you did in other part
01:52:103 (2) - add a spinner due to the song is still lowing down
[Hard]

  • 00:35:162 (4) - make this slider a same shape as the prev one

    00:41:868 (5) - i'd like this beat http://puu.sh/2hmIe

00:47:868 (9) - why not do it like this , cuz you are on the same rythm here 00:50:515 (8,1) -

also try spinners at the end of the song?
[Normal]

  • I saw your DS is 1.0 right? so just recheck it again with the limited distance no more than 1.0+-4 .
good luck :)

1366*768 is now reccomended Ranking Criteria

Background images must be at a maximum of 1024x768 pixels for 4:3, 1366x768 pixels for 16:9. Although 1366x768 (16:9) is recommended, most background ratios that are 4:3 or 16:9 should also work reasonably well (for example, 800x600 or 852x480). Using an image with a different ratio is fine, but will result in letterboxing (black bars at the top/bottom of the screen) or upscaling (resized image to fill the whole screen).

From my and popner's queues~

Great to see more Klippa, even though nothing compared to his better songs.

[Normal]
00:35:515 (3) - You could make the curve better, using more points help a lot.
00:37:632 (2) - ^
00:46:103 - 01:04:809 - Spacing changes get confusing and should not be used in Normals, so I recommend to use regular spacing in this section. Especially as this is the easiest diff in this set.

[Hard]
00:41:162 (1,3,5) - x:276
00:41:338 (2,4) - x:400
Also keep the distance between 1, 3 and 5 equal, the same goes for 2 and 4. Now 5 is way closer to 3 than 1.
01:13:632 (1) - Move a bit to the right, slightly touches the previous one.
01:39:044 (1,3) - This overlap isn't working well, adjust it better or do something different.

[Insane]
00:46:809 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Not a cute pattern, and the 1-2 & 3-4 jumps are unfitting (not sure if you intended 2 & 3 to swap places and if this is just an error).
01:26:338 (1) - Remake with the new 1-point-perfect-sliders-etc. system, it looks slightly out of space. I don't know if the other sliders are made with the old system, but this one caught my eye. Not a big problem, just pointed out, as I can't seem to find anything proper.

Yeah, sorry for small mod but it's quite cool. Good luck with ranking~

00:27:750 (5,6,7,8) - they are not stacked whit the previous notes (if it was your intention) move all of them one grid left
01:20:338 (3) - move it one grid down so that is alligned whit the previous note
01:34:279 (4) - maybe one grid right

for the insane... I prefere don't mod it because I'm not very good at it and I don't want to ruin it.

Bolded suggestions are things that are unrankable or in some way related to the ranking criteria.

[General]
  1. Offset: 239 (+18) - tested with ear and with a custom taiko diff.
  2. Song folder, bg, mp3, storyboard, all check out fine~
  3. Hm... I am a bit worried about the spread. The jump from Normal to Hard is pretty large. I would consider renaming normal to easy, toning it down a bit (which I do in my mod somewhat), and making a new normal that is between the two. Just my opinion though, you might ask some others what they think of it.
  4. Amazing hitsounding work!

[Normal]
  1. Generally, this normal is fine, but it's slightly too hard imo. Since you have no easy, this is the easiest difficulty in the set. Let's try to make it a bit more friendly for the newer players with these suggestions:
  2. 00:24:220 (3) - Delete this note here~ at this BPM, this is kinda hard to catch. Be sure to fix distance snapping between those sliders afterward.
  3. 00:27:044 (3) - Delete this note too, for the same reason. Remember to fix the distance snap again :3
  4. 00:27:044 (3) - And again here o:
  5. 00:29:868 (3) - Yupyup ^
  6. 00:31:368 (1) - Start this spinner on the red tick (00:31:456)? This gives the newer players more time to adjust to their method~
  7. 00:42:662 (1) - Same for here on the spinner :3
  8. 00:48:221 (3) - I recommend using the same DS here that you did before (0.8). This spacing is the exact same spacing as the 1/2 notes, and newer players might not expect this.
  9. 00:51:044 (3) - Same here too~
  10. 00:59:515 (3) - And here~ (this is even smaller D:)
  11. 01:00:221 (1) - Seems like this was a spacing error on your part :P
  12. 01:02:338 (3) - Again, this spacing for 1/1 is less than the spacing for 1/2. Generally this is called an anti-jump (though much less extreme than usual), and new players won't expect it (plus it doesn't fit the music really anyway).
  13. 01:07:985 - Nice kiai section!
  14. 01:31:985 (3) - You should delete the note here like I mentioned at the start of the mod. It's a bit too fast for the newbies I think =w=. Remember the spacing too~
  15. 01:34:809 (3) - Same here as above~
  16. 01:37:632 (3) - And here~
  17. Pretty nice normal! I love the way you use the sliders, especially the long ones in the kiai. Combined with the really nice hitsounds, they represent the music very well~

[Hard]
  1. General: You two both use a different base spacing (Sieg's parts are based around 1.2, and Bakari's is 1.0. I would suggest adjusting Bakari's part to be the same difficulty as Sieg's so that parts transition better).
  2. 00:19:985 - Remove this break?
  3. 00:24:220 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Flip this pattern horizontally (CTRL+H) ? So that your flow is maintained from the previous combo. It plays more nicely this way to me.
  4. 01:03:044 (3) - Make this slider the same style as the others for consistency (like 00:29:868 (1) - )
  5. 01:05:868 (4) - I really don't like how this slider leads the player off the screen like this. You should try to change the direction a bit by making it curved downward instead.
  6. 01:45:221 (3) - Stack this on (4) so that the style is consistent with 01:42:397 (2,3) -
  7. 01:47:868 (3) - Change this to two circles, then stack the second on (4) to again, make a consistent style.
  8. Once again, nice hitsounding :3

[Insane]
  1. OD-1 Maybe? OD9 doesn't really fit here imo.
  2. 00:17:868 (4,5) - Flip this pattern horizontally for nicer/more natural flow.
  3. 00:19:985 - Remove this break if you did it before.
  4. 01:02:338 (1,2,3,4,5) - This is the start of a new phrase in the music, so it would make sense to start a new pattern here instead of extending on your current one. This is my suggestion http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/660534
  5. 01:07:279 (3,4,5,6) - The previous slider is throwing you in the opposite direction, and therefore creates anti-flow. I suggest this layout of notes so that playing is much more natural in this spot: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/660537
  6. 02:02:338 (2) - Reverse this slider? Make it more interesting to me instead of just having all the sliders go downward.
  7. Those hitsounds <3

Goodluck with this map! If you have any questions about my mod, feel free to PM me in-game so I can explain things in more detail.

  8. 01:02:338 (3) - Again, this spacing for 1/1 is less than the spacing for 1/2. Generally this is called an anti-jump (though much less extreme than usual), and new players won't expect it (plus it doesn't fit the music really anyway). all this^ spacing 1x now
  9. 01:07:985 - Nice kiai section!

Now a big deal I believe.
    I'll comment only me part.
  2. 00:19:985 - Remove this break? no, it's like "prepare" sign for me... oh I love this break
  3. 00:24:220 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Flip this pattern horizontally (CTRL+H) ? So that your flow is maintained from the previous combo. It plays more nicely this way to me. hmmmm, yep I guess so

    [notice][Insane]
    1. OD-1 Maybe? OD9 doesn't really fit here imo. high od is so fine for electronic I believe so nope
    2. 00:17:868 (4,5) - Flip this pattern horizontally for nicer/more natural flow. nice catch
    3. 00:19:985 - Remove this break if you did it before. same reason as for hard
    4. 01:02:338 (1,2,3,4,5) - This is the start of a new phrase in the music, so it would make sense to start a new pattern here instead of extending on your current one. This is my suggestion http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/660534 yep, nice
    5. 01:07:279 (3,4,5,6) - The previous slider is throwing you in the opposite direction, and therefore creates anti-flow. I suggest this layout of notes so that playing is much more natural in this spot: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/660537 I like this flow break
    6. 02:02:338 (2) - Reverse this slider? Make it more interesting to me instead of just having all the sliders go downward. nope, I fell this better all down
    7. Those hitsounds <3

Goodluck with this map! If you have any questions about my mod, feel free to PM me in-game so I can explain things in more detail.

My god, Sieg. I'm sorry that it took me so long. I do hope you like the two Taiko difficulties:

http://puu.sh/2lTu1
Muzukashii 5☆, Oni 8☆
Me and Makar are sure, that the offset is a bit off. I think you should use something about +6.

I will ask some modders to mod my Taiko difficulties, so you don't need to worry about it.
If there is anything else I can do, just tell me. Feeling bad for mapping finishing them so late.

Thank you OnosakiHito-sama
also, offset moved +6

Hello, Sieg! M4M here ~

[General]

  1. Your Normal difficulty is over 3,00 Star raiting. In cases of Easy, this may be ok in some cases but since it is a Normal, you should be trying to decrase the amount of difficulty a bit.

  2. Spread from Normal to Hard seems very harsh, since your Hard already uses hidden patterns and jumps. My recommendation would be to redo Normal to an Easy and map a new, harder Normal.

  3. Your mp3 has much unused space at the end. You should really cut it.

[Normal]

  1. 00:55:285 (1,2,3,4,5) - Not a this important point but anyways, 5 circles in a row can become tiering to newbie players, so how about a bit more variation with replacing two circles with a Slider?
  2. 01:01:638 (2,1) - Yargh, such overlaps are just ugly. Please replace 2 so it will not touch 1 in this ugly way.
  3. 01:26:344 (3,1) - This could also have been done much nicer, so please stack 3's start with 1's end by moving the pattern more to the right.
  4. 01:43:285 (4) - Looks kinda bad. I think just letting it go straight over would look much nicer.
  5. 02:04:462 (6) - Try to use Normal finish for this, it gives a much better emphasize and fits the tone better.

[Hard]

  1. 00:17:874 (2) - Uh, current flow feels uneasy. Try CTRL + G for a smoother transition.
  2. 00:27:050 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - This is too hard to read in my honest opinion. Try to start a NC at 5, the color difference may increase the readability.
  3. 00:39:403 (6) - Feels like falling over a stone. Well, the stack is bad to read, so I think CTRL + G would be a good sulution anyways, current spacing feels random.
  4. 00:46:462 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - Same as the previous pattern, but also notice here that you should do the same thing like on the one before and slightly unstack them.
  5. 00:49:285 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Same as above.
  6. 01:01:462 (3) - This jump feels like it was a jump just to be a jump, doesnt it? lol. Anyways, I think just make spacing consistent works much better here since the music doesnt call for a jump.
  7. 01:05:874 (4) - Slightly offscreen! You will have to fix this.
  8. 01:13:285 (8) - Nazing, but for the much better effect, you should move this one grid down to have a neater blanket.
  9. 01:44:344 (5) - This jump feels really uneasy here, so how about CTRL + G to shorten the distance?
  10. 01:59:521 (2) - Same thing as on the begining, so CTRL + G?
  11. 02:04:462 (6) - Same hitsound suggestion as in Easy.

[Insane]

  1. Just saying it feels really weird having the very hard playable parts just there and the easier ones in the KIAI 0.0
  2. 01:04:638 (4) - Looks and flows weird, so move the circle just a bit away and stop them touching each other.
  3. 01:16:991 (2) - Argh, really hard to read while being in this flow. How about stacking this with 3 instead?
  4. 01:41:697 (2) - This is hardly readable because of the stack. You firstly dont get to know that this is a triplet, so how about replacing it? To the top or bottom of the Slider?
  5. 02:04:462 (6) - Same hitsound suggestion as in Easy.

Well, Normal's blanketing is nicely done. Hard is a bit too hard to fit the spread and also some jumps are strangely placed.
Insane flows nicely in general, but has some readability problems.

And that's it :3

Good luck!

3.0 or 3.1 not a big deal I think the only main reason is just high bpm, diff is ok to call normal and be easiest in mapset.
  2. Spread from Normal to Hard seems very harsh, since your Hard already uses hidden patterns and jumps. My recommendation would be to redo Normal to an Easy and map a new, harder Normal.
Yes, Hard is a bit harder then average hard over here, but perfectly SSable after a few tries for hard players (like me). And this is going to Insane too.
I think gap between Normal-Hard is equal to Hard-Insane, so let's see further about this...

  3. Your mp3 has much unused space at the end. You should really cut it.
Nah, 12 seconds not worth cutting

[Normal]

  1. 00:55:285 (1,2,3,4,5) - Not a this important point but anyways, 5 circles in a row can become tiering to newbie players, so how about a bit more variation with replacing two circles with a Slider?
    I don't think so.
  2. 01:01:638 (2,1) - Yargh, such overlaps are just ugly. Please replace 2 so it will not touch 1 in this ugly way.
    yep, changed
  3. 01:26:344 (3,1) - This could also have been done much nicer, so please stack 3's start with 1's end by moving the pattern more to the right.
actually yes, but I can't get idea how fix this now
  4. 01:43:285 (4) - Looks kinda bad. I think just letting it go straight over would look much nicer.
    works nice for me
  5. 02:04:462 (6) - Try to use Normal finish for this, it gives a much better emphasize and fits the tone better.
    yep

[Hard]

  1. 00:17:874 (2) - Uh, current flow feels uneasy. Try CTRL + G for a smoother transition.
eh, but I love such breaks
  2. 00:27:050 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - This is too hard to read in my honest opinion. Try to start a NC at 5, the color difference may increase the readability.
aha, but this is hard, I'll think about nc
  3. 00:39:403 (6) - Feels like falling over a stone. Well, the stack is bad to read, so I think CTRL + G would be a good sulution anyways, current spacing feels random.
:o I think this spot is fine for hard, AR allows to read this
  4. 00:46:462 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - Same as the previous pattern, but also notice here that you should do the same thing like on the one before and slightly unstack them.
I love such patterns, yep they hard a bit but hey this is called hard
  5. 00:49:285 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Same as above.
    same
  6. 01:01:462 (3) - This jump feels like it was a jump just to be a jump, doesnt it? lol. Anyways, I think just make spacing consistent works much better here since the music doesnt call for a jump.
    Lesjuh style lol
  7. 01:05:874 (4) - Slightly offscreen! You will have to fix this.
    fixed
  8. 01:13:285 (8) - Nazing, but for the much better effect, you should move this one grid down to have a neater blanket.
    indeed
  9. 01:44:344 (5) - This jump feels really uneasy here, so how about CTRL + G to shorten the distance?
such jumps to sliders plays fine
  10. 01:59:521 (2) - Same thing as on the begining, so CTRL + G?
    nope
  11. 02:04:462 (6) - Same hitsound suggestion as in Easy.
    yep

[Insane]

  1. Just saying it feels really weird having the very hard playable parts just there and the easier ones in the KIAI 0.0
    oh, that rhythm :o
  2. 01:04:638 (4) - Looks and flows weird, so move the circle just a bit away and stop them touching each other.
    whaaay? :(
  3. 01:16:991 (2) - Argh, really hard to read while being in this flow. How about stacking this with 3 instead?
    hello hd players, little surprise
  4. 01:41:697 (2) - This is hardly readable because of the stack. You firstly dont get to know that this is a triplet, so how about replacing it? To the top or bottom of the Slider?
    actually no, on AR 9
  5. 02:04:462 (6) - Same hitsound suggestion as in Easy.
    sure

Well, Normal's blanketing is nicely done. Hard is a bit too hard to fit the spread and also some jumps are strangely placed.
Insane flows nicely in general, but has some readability problems.

And that's it :3

Fine diff, but this pattern and the likes: 00:24:226 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - are hard to play because the music goes faster than these notes.

good diff, i really liked the claps, my only complaint is that you didn't follow the music at 00:24:226 (1,2,3,4) - and parts alike D:

Thanks happy30
For patterns on hard, actually that is not true, I believe it just related to OD7 and AR8, actually AR9 will work better for such bpm but it's too high for hard.
For Insane noooooo, I just ignore wubwubwub "sound" because we have way more interesting rhythm to follow here - every single note in patterns you mentioned follows music, you can actually delete any note set 25% and hear -> there it is! :D

23:10 Sieg: Hello Makar, anything new with Ono?
23:10 Makar: nope orz
23:11 Sieg: so, maybe then I just put his diffs in description tab...
23:11 Makar: eh I guess so
23:12 Sieg: that's sad ;_; done, feel free to recheck on your free time, thanks
23:13 Makar: kk
23:14 Sieg: thanks again cya
23:16 Makar: rechecking atm
23:16 Makar: will you be available for the next hour?
23:16 Sieg: oh..
23:16 Sieg: yes
23:16 Makar: cool cool
23:16 Sieg: :)
23:16 Makar: just going to point out some stuff here
23:16 Makar: for insane
23:17 Sieg: sure, good
23:17 Makar: there are a lot of unsnapped greenlines
23:17 Sieg: no, they created
23:17 Sieg: ehh.
23:17 Sieg: to low volume on slideres
23:17 Sieg: snapper to 1\16 i guess
23:17 Makar: ohhhh
23:17 Sieg: snapped*
23:17 Makar: I see
23:17 Makar: yeah I didnt notice they were sliders
23:17 Makar: xD
23:17 Makar: my bad
23:17 Sieg: xD
23:17 Makar: was just looking at the top part
23:17 Makar: ozr
23:18 Makar: orz *
23:18 Sieg: yes, they kinda strange looking anyway :) but works good
23:19 Makar: 01:27:415 (5) -
23:19 Makar: maybe reverse this for flow?
23:20 Makar: since you are going in a clockwise motion and then suddenly slider going the opposite direction
23:20 Sieg: and then again clockwise, eh I think not a big deal, reversed
23:21 Sieg: so following 01:27:768 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - ctrl+h'ed
23:21 Makar: that works
23:25 Sieg: about normal, I asked grumd and he says that few 1\2 fine for normal
23:26 Makar: kk
23:26 Makar: eh this is really nazi but
23:26 Makar: in Hard
23:26 Makar: 00:27:768 (5,6,7,8) - was this on purpose?
23:26 Makar: the very slight shift
23:27 Makar: well w/e its fine
23:27 Sieg: haha, this is special for modders, everyone goes nazi on this :)
23:27 Makar: xD
23:28 Sieg: stacked
23:28 Makar: 00:39:062 (5,6) - personally I do not like this stack, because it can be confused as 1/4 instead of 1/2
23:29 Sieg: but I guess this is fine becuse there was no 1\4... and
23:29 Sieg: play this as 1\4 is hard
23:30 Makar: true
23:30 Sieg: actually none mentioned this
23:32 Makar: 00:47:356 (6,7,8,9) - eh I really wish you could do somethign more interesting here instead of stack over again ;w;
23:32 Makar: but its fine if you cant think of anything or dont want to change
23:32 Makar: 00:50:180 (6,7,8) - same here
23:33 Sieg: yes, i'm kinda like this stacks... oh
23:33 Sieg: 00:49:297 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - i think i'll change this one
23:35 Makar: 01:34:827 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - I think it would be better if you did something more interesting here too
23:36 Makar: big long circle is just boring and tbh its hard for me to play xD
23:36 Sieg: kk
23:36 Makar: maybe zig zag or star pattern or something?
23:36 Sieg: good idea, yep
23:36 Makar: kk thats all for hard
23:38 Makar: hmm actually
23:38 Makar: *play tests hard again*

Popped due to wrong offset.

Need to be -10ms on current.

And..
[Insane]
00:48:239 (1,2) - I wonder how these green lines work. For now the hitsounds is: slider head hitsound + a short sliderslide hitsound (23ms length), then 5% silenced sliderslide hitsound. If you want to silence the sliderbody, using a blank hitsound is better.

Sweet map.

Timing seemed fine to me. Me and ono went over it to find a good offset.

I made a sample taiko diff with simple patterns in order to help verify it further. Here were the results:

This is completely rankable and the points serve their purpose; there is no problem here.

Map shouldn't of been popped imo. You should at least verified timing with some staff imo or timing could be verified by ranking BAT even.
Anyways, I talked with staff and it was agreed on -13

@popner
Thanks for stopping by. :)
So offset moved -13 in result.
As for my green lines on sliders this is part of hitsounding, I need this slider body sound on start to make HS more consistent (actually... slider body is played one time if you wonder) but I don't need the whole sound because they sound not so great to my ears. You can check this works well.

00:25:637 (1) - use this shape? So the end of the slider is at the symmetric position of 00:28:108 (5)

[Insane]
00:35:520 (1,2) - how about making the two sliders symmetric?
00:38:343 (1,2) - same as above.

Call me back later.
