Two Steps From Hell <3

Well, first of all the BPM should be either halved or doubled (just double/halve the SV then). I found 67,995 as BPM, not sure if you want to use it (this makes 135,99 BPM is you don't want to halve them). Offset seems fine.

Secondly remove "Two Steps From Hell" from the source. Only stuff like movies or games belongs in there. Remove this from the tags aswell, it's is already the artist. I am not too sure about the tags "Trailer Movie Games" either, I mean they are nothing really related to this song. Instead you can add "Dynasty" to the tags (album name).

I updated the tags/source. 136 to 135.99bpm, would it make a difference? Two Steps From Hell is nice, yea. Making a new version of protectors of the earth.

Hi from my queue:

Offset seems a little early to me. I had best results with an offset of 475~480, play around with it and see what works best.

As far as the map itself goes, I really like the hitsounds you've used, it fits the song really well. My main issue is just the note placement feels a little linear to me in places. For example, in Easy you haven't used anything but a horizontal straight slider up until 00:37:498 (1), and it's a similar thing in the other difficulties. If you can, try to create a smooth, circular flow to your difficulties which will make it more enjoyable for players!

Also the difficulties seem a little harder than their names suggest: To me, Easy felt like a Normal, Normal felt like a Hard and Advanced felt like an Insane with those streams you have in there. I also recommend changing the HP drain in all difficulties - at the moment it's set to 5 in every difficulty, so I'd probably lower it in your easiest difficulty and make it 6 in advanced or something.

Anyway, sorry I can't offer more specific advice. But good luck with this, it's a really cool song you chose to map!

Possibly. I myself ain't too sure what's ideal for streams yet haha.

On all of the difficulties, you have hitsounds with are reaaally loud, mostly the finishes around the start of the song, these really blurs out the music more then anything else, I'd really suggest you lower them.

It was initially too loud, but I understand you, there are parts where it seems like the song covers the hitsounds. I will just see what parts actually need the hitsounds to be heard, and just slightly increase the volume. Finish sounds do not really suit, so I just use when necessary.

For higher aesthetic quality, why don't you put custom combo colour? some color don't fit in this background. please consider.
If you are not making track from other rhythm games why don't you change 'Advanced' -> 'Insane'?

  1. Inconsistency in BPM. Taiko diffs have a very slightly different BPM than the other difficulties. I know it's just a very very small difference but you have to fix it!
  2. Inconsistency in Tags.
  • Easy
  1. 00:20:334 (2) - This note doesn't follow anything at all imo. I highly suggest you to remove it. Sounds way better like that.
  2. 00:26:953 (1,2,3) - ^ Same here. The note (2) sounds redundant, it doesn't follow anything at all so it would sound much better if you remove it and then replace (1) and (3) with a slider. Try it out!~
  3. 00:28:718 (1) - Consider making this slider 1/1 like your previous ones. Mixing into all of your 1/1 patterns a single 1/6 slider in a Easy difficulty is not a good idea.
  4. 00:29:601 (2) - This note doesn't flow good at all imo :3 If you move the note more over the previous slider (1) end, it will flow much better! What I'm suggesting you to do is moving this note over here:
  5. 00:42:839 (2) - This slider looks randomly placed :? Try to make pretty patterns with slider shapes. For example, you can try copying 00:41:074 (1) shape and moving this slider over here to make a visually better pattern:
  6. 00:50:782 (1) - This note is a bit too far away from the spinner centre. Try moving it approximately to x360 y208. I'm telling you a specific place so you don't have to move the next notes to fix spacing. :D

  2. 00:17:318 (2) - This slider isn't correctly following the music. It is 1/2, not 1/3. Try moving it to 00:17:245. Also, why does this pattern look like this o.o it looks messy and a bit ugly to be honest. Try making something more clean like this?:
  3. 00:20:187 (4,5) - These notes don't flow too good imo. I personally prefer them like this:
  4. 00:25:188 (1) - Soft hitfinish? (again, same suggestions mentioned about Normal apply to this diff and to Easy aswell, so if you agree apply the rest :3)

    I would like to state something general about this difficulty since it has all the same problems as the other difficulties and I don't want to repeat myself (which can result boring/stressing for you too when reading my mod). This difficulty has squareish patterns too, lots of oddly placed notes and streams that don't flow good. Try to check the difficulty by yourself having in mind my previous suggestions to improve flow (written about easy normal and hard) and improve patterns as much as you can. This difficulty needs more work, and some soft hitfinishes at kiai times. :p

    I would like to state something general about this difficulty since it has all the same problems as the other difficulties and I don't want to repeat myself (which can result boring/stressing for you too when reading my mod). This difficulty has squareish patterns too, lots of oddly placed notes and streams that don't flow good. Try to check the difficulty by yourself having in mind my previous suggestions to improve flow (written about easy normal and hard) and improve patterns as much as you can. This difficulty needs more work, and some soft hitfinishes at kiai times. :p Sorry, it's my style. I tried to make it less linear, but well, tried.
