Tips on making a skin?

I have been playing osu! for a long time but as in stopped playing for 3 months then I come back. However, I then suddenly thought of making a skin. I'm not that good or an expert on making a skin. I used osuskinner multiple times but those skins I created looked trash and can't even be used, more of I can't FC a 5* map. Any tips on making a good skin?

How good you can play doesnt matter for making skins.

All you want to know can probably be found here. Consistency is key.

So it's all about preferences and not about a skin's standard. You're pretty much correct and I agree. Also, thanks for the site you sent, I appreciate it.
