Hi i'm beginning to be pretty advanced into mania 4k and i start to play 3,5-4 stars, and one of my biggest problem right now is to find my scroll speed, it's either too speedy so i can't read, or either too much information so i can't read, if you have any tips to help me to find the perfect middle i'll take it

Play on a speed that allows you to look at the middle of your notefield and hit on time with a low mean.

try the average scroll speed which is 30 first, then modify it by your preference

generally, if you're using thin bars then you'd generally want a higher notespeed, if you're using a larger skin (thick bars, diamonds, circles, arrows, etc) then you'd usually want a higher notespeed. up to preferance though

Hi back, first, thanks for answer and second, i found a pretty nice scroll speed for me wich is 30 or 31, however, when i try harder maps to improve, i can't understand anything at 30 scroll speed because there's too much note density but if i increase my scroll speed i don't have the reflex to correctly react to notes. So i wonder what to do

that probably just means youre not good enough, changing scroll speed wont make you better at stuff sadly, so I'd recommend just staying on whichever scroll speed youre comfy with and slowly work on whatever is giving you trouble

It means youre playing stuff outside of your current range. its too dense for you to read because its currently too hard for you. 30 scroll speed is a perfectly reasonable speed to read with, its just a matter of working your way up to whatever density youre trying to read. Going fast is not the be-all end-all of being good at this game and there are other aspects of your skillset that need to be addressed for gains in speed to be captialized on. Most people cannot just brute force speed and see results, and those that can tend to have terrible accuracy.
