Okay here's the deal. So I've been playing 4k mania for quite some time and i can't get past 3 stars. What is it that i need to get better? I love those hardcore levels but it's no fun if i play them on 2 stars. I've seen people say that playing more than 4k helps but idk. There are times when my mind just can't keep up and i don't see anything, my fingers just move on their own(Which somehow works when it lasts for a short time but if there's a lot of fast keys i'll eventually fail). I've noticed also that my screen tears when the notes are fast. Anyways any suggestions pls i'll gladly appreciate it :^)

just play more, there's no secret to improving. if your screen tears when playing fast notes then thats a monitor problem

On a serious note, help:
If screen tears then you’re only two options are to get a better monitor or lower your scroll speed. Or deal with it, but that sucks. You haven’t really played as much as you think, some time two years ago and a few plays here and there. I say just keep going until you can confidently get an S on 3.8*. Once you can do that on a variety of maps your skill is probably high enough to beat some low 4* because of how broken SR system is. People will hate me for saying this, but if needed you can also confidence boost by playing 4* pp maps, which is helpful to get over 4* mind block. Good luck, if you add me in game we can play multi some time and I can help fine tune your playstyle

"quite some time". your profile says its been 11h and i suppose you haven't played any unranked maps, so no, you just didn't play enough

Check your frame limiter, try changing it to optimal and see if it helps with your screen tearing.
You also need to play a wide variety of maps if you want to improve. Because there are some technical 3 star maps which are more difficult than 4 stars.
So I recommend downloading a lot of different maps and playing the 3 stars on those.
Also don't play converts; most converts don't have patterns, they won't help you improve. You need to play mania maps. Maps that has a piano logo on it are mania maps.
You can download mania maps by filtering to Osu!Mania mode in beatmap listing.
