Managed to take a small peek on the taiko once again cause I had a feeling I missed something and:

05:31:819 (1657) - Maybe a kat? Because the pitch of the guitar is the same as the previous note which was a kat. Just a minor suggestion.
05:37:419 (1684,1685,1686,1687,1688,1689,1690,1691,1692) - First note has to be a kat for this to be rankable. Only pairs are rankable if a finish is at the end (meaning kkkkddddK, ddddkkkkD, kkddkkddK, ddkkddkkD, etc), else just remove note 1691.

No need to kd.

Oh yeah and the final kiai should probably be fixed, it gets cancelled too early. Just remove the green section and start the kiai with the red one.

04:48:614 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,1) - This is still repeaters on blue ticks. You have to change this. Why do this? I already explained why this is wrong, and you removed the circle and added another repeat. That's even worse. Remove the extra repeat on 04:48:614 (1) and then move everything back by 1 tick, yes, everything, and then add a circle at 04:53:811. This fits the music the best and plays the best too.

07:52:624 (4) - The vocal ends on 07:52:824, so this slider should end there too. There is nothing on this tick where it ends and it makes the slider feel wrongly snapped.


Ask [Luanny] what she thinks about my suggestion in her taiko and have her fix that one stream with a finisher at the end, so I can bubble this finally ._.
I have rechecked the timing and it seems spot on so I guess that's sorted.

04:07:930 (2,3,4) - These are still inaudible. It doesn't matter if it's 5%, 20% or 50%, if you can't hear them regularly when playing, it's not rankable. :/

  1. 00:29:420 (13) - This might be hard to explain. Starting after every downbeat by 1/1, you get either a o o o or a o o o. I suggest you alternate every bar; bars 1 and 3 would work better with your patterns as o o o and bars 2 and 4 as o o o per measure.
  2. 00:30:820 (19) - This is somewhat confusing to follow considering how you chose to represent the drums here. Notes (20,21) are clearly kats but adding (19) to the mix-up just doesn't sound right. Keep the accents on the last two notes in this bar; make this a don.
  3. 00:35:020 (36) - Like you had in the previous section, try making this a don to show the pitch change (it's more effective). Also the triple following this note is kinda random and I don't see its purpose. If it's a density increase, you could least add some more around it consistently so it doesn't stick out like it's out of style.
  4. 00:50:620 (91) - If it's following the vocals, should this not be a don? 01:25:020 (193) - as well.
  5. 01:00:220 (102) - All suggestions (with the exception of the one above since it applies to a segment inbetween similar phrases) above apply to this phrase (up until the next bookmark at 01:21:820 (189)).
  6. 01:34:420 (217) - Removing this would contribute to a nice build-up into the kiai, especially since there's no music to support this poor little note. ;w;
  7. 01:56:514 (392) - Maybe making this a don would make this pattern much better. None of the other patterns/streams in kiai contain a quad of kats and it just sounded somewhat off.
  8. 02:04:820 (441,442,443) - Why no 4-plet like 02:10:420 (474,475,476,477)? S:
  9. 02:10:720 (478) - Removing this would not only help the consistency, but it would probably make this a lot more playable. Changing (478) into a don would be nice too D:
  10. 02:21:620 (548) - As a don it would make the finisher sound much better since it's supported in the music, though this is just a small personal preference.
  11. 02:37:830 (618) - As mentioned before, this vocal representation should be a don. I'd also like to suggest fixing the density here. I know it's steadily increasing, but in unison with the vocal mapping as it's the only thing to map to here, the density increaser notes used just sound...not so pleasant.
  12. 03:09:320 (831) - Same suggestion as before.
  13. 03:17:620 (883,884,885) - Treating this as a triple feels wrong. Maybe try doing what you did in the previous bar. It also follows the string instrument better (since this is what and will be consistent in this phrase, right)?
  14. 03:22:020 - Please don't miss this note, it breaks an important consistency you have.
  15. 03:30:420 (966,967,968) - Same suggestion as before.
  16. 03:34:820 - Same as before.
  17. 04:00:626 (1119) - All patterns end with a don, and this doesn't. I guess if you change this you'll want to make this pattern something different; ooooo is boring. If you want to be very consistent, ooooo follows your patterns instinctively.
  18. 04:03:426 (1135,1136,1137,1138,1139,1140,1141,1142) - The speed up makes this nearly impossible to predict/read. I suggest moving the middle green timing point backward 1/4 to 04:03:726 (1139). This also properly separates the 1/6 and 1/4 patterns.
  19. 04:06:630 (1156) - This would follow the string instrument better if it was a don.
  20. 04:39:630 (1375) - As a don, this would resemble the end of the previous stream in which both triples represent the same musical patterns in the music. It's up to you if you want to keep it or not, this is just a suggestion.
  21. 04:44:117 (1405) - I highly recommend you remove this note. The carrying of this stream into and past the downbeat to the next pattern blends them; it causes major confusion and is a playability problem. Removing this note is a minimal thing and yet it creates a world of difference.
  22. 04:46:616 (1419,1420,1421,1422,1423,1424,1425,1426,1427) - I guess you chose not to map the 1/6 in full since it would not fit? I think it would be acceptable seeing as you use a lot more later on (yeah yeah density...it's up to you really).
  23. 04:50:513 (1448) - Depending on the pattern, having kats on blue ticks can work. This here though (especially with the blending of patterns) makes this very hard understand while playing. As the previous suggestion said for the same kind of stream in the phrase, just remove this and it will suffice without destroying your patterns.
  24. 04:55:210 (1477) - A suggestion would be to turn this into a kat finisher alongside 04:55:610 (1479) so they all represent the same thing (the rise in pitch of the string instrument). Turn the other two notes that were previously finishers into dons to retain a nice consistency.
  25. 04:58:408 (1498) - Finisher if you fix above so it melds.
  26. 04:59:807 (1508,1509) - Just a suggestion but changing these both into dons would follow the string instrument better.
  27. 05:03:028 (1519) - This would make a better don since it follows the guitar and makes the following kat follow the drum. Try not use an excessive amount of kats where the representation should be clear.
  28. 05:05:826 (1529,1530) - These notes here would work much better as dons since they follow the drums and give more significance musically to your kats.
  29. 05:11:524 (1558,1559) - DOUBLE TROUBLE @ @ if you hadn't used any doubles in this map (it's too long for me to remember fully; it's all hazy), then please just turn this into a triple or something to constitute better playability.
  30. 05:48:425 (1749,1750,1751) - Missing a 1/6?
  31. 05:59:625 (1832,1833,1834) - Maybe you could fill in the gaps here to continue the stream? These breaks don't really fit considering there's lots of heaviness in this section, though I can understand if you don't want to do this because of the SV change (might confuse players).
  32. 06:08:414 (1904,1905,1906,1907,1908) - Only pattern that ends with a kat; it's out of place in your consistency so I suggest changing this pattern (simply making this a don might be a bit too boring for your tastes).
  33. 06:29:214 (2064) - The 1/6 actually starts here. To make the transition much easier to read and play, I suggest removing 06:29:114 (2063).
  34. 07:07:714 (2394) - To start a double kat in the middle of a stream on a blue tick is a nightmare. The patterning from here to 07:10:214 (2419) is quite unintuitive. I know your current layout follows the drums almost to a straight T, but maybe try creating a new pattern to compensate for playability. I believe the real major problem here is the kats starting on blue ticks. If you can find a way to fix those, then it should be good.
  35. 07:16:614 (2433) - For the first half of the kiai, refer to the above suggestions for the same phrase.
  36. 08:07:814 (2854) - For the outro, refer to the above suggestions for the same phrase.
  37. 08:31:614 (3003,3004,3005,3006,3007,3008,3009,3010,3011,3012) - Since you've been focusing on the string instrument, I feel the outro would have a stronger finish if you kept it consistent as well as mapping to the more dominant instrument. Removing 08:31:814 (3004,3005) I feel lets your map finish strong.
Damn I have to say, you really nailed the density thing here. It increases and decreases in the right areas, there's nothing anti-climatic that suggests this map is boring and you managed to create the perfect streams while incorporating variety. I'm so awestruck at how you were able to take such a long and fairly repetitive song and transform it into a masterpiece.

No kudos since this is unfinished I guess HellDawn didn't read this.

EDIT: Taiko mod is now complete. I guess since Makar is going to take a look at the diff after Luanny applies my suggestions (if any), I'll point out a few things in the standard diff I thought should be fixed tomorrow. Also Makar, make sure to check for any unrankable end finisher constellations in case I missed them. They played so well I must've passed over them XD

Call me after Xakyrie's mod is applied for the taiko, please (would prefer if she finishes it too, I'm sure she can make some good points at the end of the song).

There are some things here that I could highly suggest changing (mostly related to the flow of the streams), but Xakyrie's mod might fix most of them. For the most part this map is great with problems only really in the last 1/3 of the map or so.

Currently the pause just makes the player hesitate too much. It would be even more nice if you had a note at 00:35:820 as well, because timing gaps larger than 1/1 play awkwardly and they were not established in the beginning. Just a thought.
  2. 00:45:820 (1) - The drums in the background are so awesome! Maybe you could map this in instead of a spinner? It feels a bit random.
  3. 02:02:120 - Because the drums start here, jumping into the stream 1/2 after the previous slider when in reality it should be here is hard to play. I would consider arranging your pattern again to accommodate this sound
  4. 02:06:620 (7,8,9) - Since the drums follow a 1/2 pattern here, I would suggest using a slider like in 02:03:420 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7).
  5. 02:07:220 (1,2,3) - Regarding the music, this pattern just makes things harder to follow. There's actually nothing on the downbeat, and playing something that doesn't exist on it sounds strange. For example, the distance between the first note and the next sound is 1/1. Representing this as two notes in 1/1 or a 1/1 slider would work. There should also be a note on 02:07:720. Please adjust your pattern accordingly. This applies to 02:12:820 (4,5,6) - as well, and 02:18:420 (8,9,10) -
  6. 02:19:820 (1) - The spinner really kills the build-up, can't you just map it? D:
  7. 03:45:024 (1,2) - You should fill in notes here like 03:48:225 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - for consistency within this section.
  8. 04:02:426 (1) - Ending a slider on a downbeat sounds funny because you usually hit notes or start sliders on them (downbeats are strong accents in the music most commonly). You even had to resort to silencing to mask its musical irrelevancy. I would suggest you remove the slider and just start the stream on the downbeat.
  9. 04:26:430 (2,3,4) - Strange. I think (2) is supposed to be two notes in 1/2 and where (3) starts should be a kickback slider like (2) to follow the music? Basically, it should sound like this.

  14. 06:54:214 (2,3,4,5) - I think these play better as single notes in 1/1, but this is just a personal opinion. The notes on the blue ticks that make them doubles aren't necessarily backed up by strong instrumental sounds, so that may be why.
  15. 07:00:614 (1) - to 07:07:014 (7) - If you're going to follow the vocals, follow them accordingly. The random streams felt so awkward to play, especially with the sacrifice of flow and spacing for symmetry with patterns like 07:01:014 (2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4) - . I suggest going over these patterns and trying something more consistent and intuitive.
  16. 07:17:824 (6) - Since this first bar is triple - 1/2 slider - triple - triple, I think it's best if you turn this into a 1/2 slider. It follows your patterns nicely and accompanies the music well.
  17. 07:21:024 (4) - Slider looks sort of ugly S:
  18. 07:22:224 (8,9) - Whistles don't fit this part. Maybe use a different hitsound for them or not at all? Especially since this is a heavy drum-laden section.
  19. 07:35:824 (1) - Plays better as a 1/2 slider considering there is not a strong sound on the end. It's also very inconsistent. If you were to use this pattern consistently (since there are drums that support the use of 3/4), then that would be different.
  20. 07:42:024 - Add a note here and/or on the blue to have a nice lead in from your section into Gabe's. It doesn't leave a huge gap in the beatmap, it prevents hesitation by the player and the music calls for it.

  33. 01:38:614 (1,2,3,4,5) - After the stream, the sudden density and movement drop feels extremely weird in terms of the music. Maybe be a bit more creative and use a bit more notes? You could try continuing the vocals as you started with the 1/1 slider with a bit wider spacing or something. Also fix the new combo here. It's not really necessary to have a new combo switch like that here.
  34. 01:40:614 (1) - Hear how the downbeat is very accented? To make your mapping reflect that, you could try a 1/2 slider+ note combination. A repeat plays weakly in regards to the music.
  35. 01:50:614 (5) - Not feeling the finisher.
  36. 01:53:414 (1) - Same suggestion as before. With the heavy guitar, I feel a jump of some kind would work nicely with notes used in 1/1 (starting from (13) and up to the downbeat, like this).
  37. 01:59:614 - A 5-note stream here would sound nice and work up to HellDawn's next section quite well. It's more effective in grasping the essence of the song here.

  38. 02:24:030 (3,4) - Just a suggestion, but a jump from (3) to (4) would feel better to play since your other patterns of the sort do the same. You travel from (2) to (3) in a spaced manner, while (3) to (4) usually plays with a jump (see 02:27:030 (2,3,4) - and 02:30:230 (2,3,4) - ).
  39. 02:24:030 (3) - Remove this to be consistent with your other note + note + 1/1 repeat slider patterns here.
  40. 02:33:230 (2,3,4,5,6,7) - The drums on the end of these triples are heavier and much stronger. I suggest a different clap pattern as they only hide the drums, or remove them overall.

  44. 03:25:020 (6,7,8) - Now I don't care much if you forget the 5-note stream before this (03:24:020 (4,5) - from the end of the slider to the end of this repeat should technically be a stream in 1/4), however the drums are intense here and mapping according to them would fit the music way better. It would seem something like this, although you can use variations of this as long as the right ticks are hit.
  45. 03:29:020 (1,2) - Would actually play better if you flipped this and started it on the right since the patterns are moving downward in a zig-zag motion. Your current pattern kind of breaks flow.
  46. 03:34:020 - Dude, you're totally missing the drums here ;w; You should map this! You're forgetting musicality here D:
  47. 03:35:420 (1,2) - Triples mapped over with sliders...okay well if you like it keep it, but (2) sounds really strange.
  48. 03:36:820 (4) - Try not to map over the most epic sections with sliders...it totally kills the progressive intensity.

  49. 04:07:430 (1,2,3,4,1) - I know this section calls for bigger spacing because it's more intense, but this is such a throw off. I'd consider changing the spacing to be smaller, or just using the typical overlapping stream. Just remember that most 1/4 notes are not this sparse throughout the entire map.
  50. 04:14:630 (7,8,9) - While I do agree this sounds nice, it's not fitting at all. Especially when you have slider jumps like 04:21:430 (1,2,3,4,5) - following it later in the phrase, these entrance patterns will just further confuse the player and their sense of rhythm. I suggest not using blue tick sliders like they currently are. Applies to 04:19:030 (4,5,6) - as well.
  51. 04:18:430 (1,2,3) - Compare it with 04:19:830 (1,2,3) - The spacing is different, and the spacing change doesn't match the music. Fix all 1/4 that are spread like so (such as 04:19:630 (6,1) - and 04:15:230 (9,1) - those are the really major ones, 04:17:030 (1,2,3) - is fine as is).
  52. 06:16:214 (1) - Nope. Nope nope nope, please don't do this. It just confuses the player's understanding going into the pattern, especially since there's an even stronger sound on the red tick before it. There's no reason to use a 3/4 slider here, so just shorten it a tick and add a note instead.
  53. 06:31:614 (4,5,1) - Fix this pattern? Lack of flow; feels awkward to play.

  54. 04:44:117 (7) - Why end this with a slider? Sliders that end on downbeats don't fit well since you typically play notes on downbeats, so I suggest just finishing the stream with notes. In fact, end the stream with a kickback slider in 1/4 so it follows the musical representation you chose, like this. The repeat pushes the cursor back upwards in that general direction, so it works.
  55. 04:49:914 (4) - I would just turn these into notes since it follows the change in violin. Makes it more desirable to play.
  56. 04:53:511 (1) - Again, just end it with notes. Repeat sliders that end on downbeats don't work as efficiently when trying to map patterns within bars.

  59. 07:51:824 (1) - Don't use 3/4 sliders when they are not called for. It does not fit the music because the sound on the end is not strong enough (moreover, blue ticks are weak in this song as in most others). Avoid using them when they are not prominent in the music.
  60. 07:54:024 (7) - Since this is the final kiai, instead of dropping the intensity try mapping a stream continuing from 07:53:824 (6) - to 07:54:824 (8) - and/or keep the note on 07:54:924 to create a long stream, which matches the perfectly. Increasing density is welcomed.

  2. Inconsistency in countdown. Disable countdown in Unity.
  3. Inconsistent uninherited timing sections. Please copy the red points form Unity to Luanny's Taiko.
  4. Delete Thumbs.db from the c folder.
  5. Add Ezek and LuannyPhoenyx to the tags. Ezek is a guest and LuannyPheonyx is a past username.

  1. Rename to Luanny's Oni or Luanny's Taiko Oni?
  2. 01:36:814 (237) - d for stream playability?
  3. 02:44:830 (636,637,638) - speed change + triple on the offbeat = confusion! I suggest deleting 02:44:830 (636,637) so it's easier to hit this timing.

Like a one of those anime pictures most of the mappers choose for japanese songs and it is a just side view of a guy, we dont even see his-nudity parts of his body

I am by no means saying these ones contain nudity (if we use the same standards, they would), but are by far more explicit than the bg in this guy's map. And i just pressed f2 ~20 times.

Instead of changing the whole bg (if that's the case), just let the mapper write a warning in description of the map and everything is done.

Because that bg fits to this song more than perfectly.

I talked with other staff about the BG and it is not appropriate. Maps that were ranked in the past can not be used to justify this either.

Even if it's in the past, everyone knows that that thing will happen in the future as well. "Let's just put a cute anime butt here, it's okay it is cute it is anime after all."

Not even past, just check first page of Ranked Beatmaps recently, full of inappropriate backgrounds. it should not be that hard to say "change the bg" before ranking those maps.

it is not even past, that kind of thing happens with japanese-anime-backgrounds every single time. As a mapper, i would like to see those "other staff members", or at least give me a valid reason why it is not appropriate and why a warning can't do the thing.

The NSFW is not because the half nude, the problem is the meaning of the image, some things like that are.... a bad example for kids.

As I say on the PM I think is better find another background, is way easy to solve, if you wish you can made another version of the map with the original BG, in another link, that will be fine, I think.
