So I know there's a tough wall between beating 4* and 5* maps and I wanted to ask how far it looks like I am from being able to break that wall juding by my profile. I plan to put in around the same amount of plays and hours as I did last month (maybe a little bit less).

Another thing I'd like to know is how long it took you other players that are better than me to break that wall and how much time you put into the game to do it.

Things to note:
  1. I started playing mania in the beginning of April
  2. I have previous experiece with Robeats which I played Jan-Feb 2020 (was off on March)
Thanks in advance for answers :)

Honestly I dunno. I took me 4 years to get to being able to 97% most ranked 5* maps. It took me 2 years to get where you are. Seeing people make such quick progress makes me question what my skill is doing slacking around.

thats a poorly defined question, so i'll give my answer in multiple ways.

how long until you can play any ranked 5star chart?
you probably can right now if you focus on the overrated farm charts.

how long until you can play an average 5star?
probably between 1 month and 4 months if you keep grinding

how long until you can play some of the underrated 5stars?
it'll be a while. some of the underrated charts in the 5star range are brutal.

its also worth noting that the definition of "play" can vary too. im sure you could mash out some 5star charts if you didnt mind getting like... a B. but if you're going for decent accuracy, you've got some work ahead of you.

i also had previous experience with robeats (maybe half a year before going to mania). took me maybe a month or two to go from mid 3 star to low 4 star, and 2-3-4 months to go from 4 star to low 5 star. at first i could only play overrated charts (nanamori, capsacin, triumph&regret, other jumptrill charts), but eventually i just played more and improved.
