To elaborate on Death's post, .osr (which is the replay extension) stores cursor coordinates and keypresses, hence it can work with multiple skins. Updating the map in this case will make the client thinks that your previous replays are outdated (to prevent unnecessary misses caused by object position changing in the map) and automatically deletes them.
