I get the feel of doing a Beta-taiko for this; that means, somewhat Rokodo-style, additive mapping + hard patterns.

I realized one of the spinners was in the wrong place after I sent it to you, so this is the actual diff. xD

Edit: And here is the taiko bg, courtesy of Makar, as usual~
I changed the background in the .osu already, so just save the image as "taikobg" and add it to the song folder.

01:52:376 (1) - Yeah, especially since you're spinning on a held note that comes 1/4 after when the spinner actually starts. Its not correct.
02:17:495 (6) - This is quite the sharp snapback. Certainly could do more smoothly. This note might do better somewhere here:

01:09:400 (4,5,6,7,8,9) - Just a suggestion here: the stacks while not being much of a problem, can be a more elaborate pattern. Something like http://puu.sh/1SEyD would make it a lot better fitting for the strings and possibly play better.

Current Lead-In + time b4 first note adds up to ~1800MS. Add ~+200 on Lead-In to get to 2000. (1647 Lead-In would sum up to exactly 2000)
Offset sounds a bit early for me. I get somewhat close to 357 (+4 from current). Check over that again.
(Loctav's diff misses "Taiko" in the tags, but prev. mod already mentioned it, so I have no idea why I mention it again.)
00:44:162 - 00:46:067 - Why is Kiai here? It seems unfitting to me, either remove the "flash" or use 00:45:591 as ending. You should also remove this flash from Taikodiffs.
02:07:972 - Same as above.
02:25:114 - This part comes up more often in the map, but only this one uses Kiai and White/Grey CColour? Seems weird to me.
Urghh at BG-dimensions. The Letterboxes it creates are too small for my taste. If you want to keep it, resize it to 1024x616.
You may want to add a silent soft-sliderslide.wav, the slidingsound doesn't fit the song IMO.
You might want to add "Taiko" to the Taikodiff-Names.

I'd not recommend SV-changes in Easy-Diffs, especially the one in Kiai. x1,5 is quiet a lot for an Easy diff.

Note to everyone in this mapset: Some of the things I mention may already be changed by the time you get to reading this mod.

[General]
  1. Loctav's Muzukashii is missing "taiko" from the tags.
[Easy]
  1. 00:07:972 (1) - Curve this slider a bit more drastically. It looks neater compared to a long slider that's nearly straight.
  2. 00:19:400 (1,2) - Either make both of these sliders straight or make them have the same angle of curve. I don't know what you were trying to do here, but it seems rather odd to have one slider curved at a barely noticeable angle and have the next one curved a little more, but still barely noticeable.
  3. 02:05:591 (4) - Center this circle toward the middle of the previous slider so that (3) blankets (4). You've been making blankets a lot previously in this difficulty, so it seems silly not to do it here.
Well mapped. My only conern is that it has a lot of spinners, and I'm sure you could delete some and map them out. It can get boring to play due to having 8 spinners in this difficulty.

[Normal -a]
  1. I'm not too fond of the way you implemented your username (or part of it) into difficulty name, but if you feel strongly about keeping it like this, then so be it.
  2. 00:00:353 (1) - A finish would go nicely here to match the background music.
  3. 00:08:924 (3) - Place this lower down so that it's under (2)'s end. It flows better compared to having it near the middle of (2). There's most likely no need to re-arrange (1) after this either since it still flows well after doing this.
  4. 00:14:638 (4) - I'm pretty sure the whistle on this slider should be at the start of it, not the end.
  5. 00:23:210 (1,2,3) - I like how you made this pattern here. :oops:
  6. 00:27:019 (1) - According to the previous hitsound pattern, rather than having a whistle at the end of this slider, there should be a clap.
  7. 00:45:114 (3) - Finish at the end of this slider to match the music.
  8. 01:31:305 (2) - Is the whistle on this circle intentional due to the music here? If it's not, replace it with a clap. If it is, put a whistle at the end of 01:34:638 (1) for consistency.
  9. 01:53:686 (3) - Even though it seems like a small thing, please remove the whistle from the body of the slider only. Soft slider-whistle sounds pretty ugly in my opinion.
  10. 01:55:591 (3,4) - The way you mapped this is un-characteristic to the way you've been mapping this difficulty. I would unstack these sliders.
  11. 02:21:305 (6) - You're missing a whistle at the beginning of this slider.
  12. 02:22:733 (1) - This spinner starts too soon. I would replace where the spinner starts with a circle and then start the spinner a bit later at 02:23:210 in order to map more accurately to the music.
[Hard]
  1. 00:32:138 (4,5) - Why are these stacked? It looks really odd. Space them out rather than doing this.
  2. 00:40:352 (1) - This slider looks pretty weird. I would just remove the node.
  3. 01:55:948 (2,3) - Space these out, once again.
  4. 02:26:424 (4,5) - ^
  5. 02:36:900 (3,4) - ^
  6. In this difficulty, there are a few sliders that are borderline burai sliders. Just to be safe and due to the fact that maps have gotten unranked for this, I would fix these. On top of these sliders perhaps being semi-unrankable, I see no reason to have these as I would only put them when there's a sharp vocal/music change during a slider.
Very fun to play difficulty in my opinion. :oops:

[Both Taiko Difficulties]
  1. I'm not an expert at modding Taiko difficulties, but according to the ranking criteria, there shouldn't be any short kiai flashes in a taiko map. The two small kiai times in both difficulties are closer to flashes than full chorus kiai times in my opinion, and should be removed to be on the safe side.

I asked around for opinions and basically we agree that flashes = kiai burst; moreover, if a MAT or BAT comfortable with the current taiko ranking criteria deems this unrankable, you know what I'll do.

  1. 00:07:495 (5,6) - Don't like these as stacks. The piano changes pitch drastically, I'd rather have a small jump here on 5-6-1.
  2. 00:52:733 (4) - Can you make this one a bit shorter so the lower end is longer? It looks really odd like this.
  3. 00:59:638 (3,4) - This spacing should be smaller, more like 7-8, however the note 4 should be more to the left and up.
  4. 01:14:162 (6) - Move this so it makes a triangle with the other sliders? Looks kinda shabby as it is now.
  5. 01:15:591 (1) - I would suggest to map something else. The melody is still very interesting here and like this you miss a very important note at 01:16:305. There is also a rhythm hit at 01:16:067 so you might want to map a slider and 2 circles, or slider and a circle if you decide to omit that rhythm hit over there. Since it's an end of a part, this shouldn't be hard to do at all.
  6. 01:48:686 (6) - Add a whistle to the start as well? Makes an interesting rhythm and is a melody highlight.
  7. 02:17:495 (6,1,2,3) - This jump is way too big and is very hard to read.

It feels much more natural to have kkd there as well since the biggest tension in music around here is between 02:11:900 (1,1) which was already expressed enough, if you have an empty space here that tension loses it's meaning slightly and I feel like the gameplay flow breaks a little.

What I don't like: Excessive amount of kats on the downbeats which make me feel like the structure of this map doesn't have a lot of thought put behind it so it looks kinda random, weird swaps from rhythm to melody highlights (in the same measure), lack of proper kkk for the melody highlights which go along with the rhythm. I will explain as I go.
  2. 00:07:019 (1,1,1,1,1) - This is one of the things which I would categorize into weird swaps from rhythm to melody. The map doesn't really need so much variety at this point just yet, if you ask me. Sticking to the rhythm while throwing in an occasional kat would look better. This means that 00:07:495 (1) should probably be a k. Basically the whole pattern should be identical to 00:03:210 (1,2,1,2,1) and that is because the melody's highlight is just before the downbeat as well.
  3. 00:09:638 (2,1) - This is a good opportunity for a change. If you already want variety and stuff you can map a kkk here instead because the melody suggests that. Since you still have a kat that is coming afterwards, the rhythm stays good as well.
  4. 00:12:733 (2,1,1,2,1) - k d k k d is better here because of a small improvised rhythm near the first note, and to keep the rhythm consistency.
  5. 00:18:448 (1,1,2,1,1) - This pattern is super boring here, because the music continues from the red tick just before it. Look here: http://puu.sh/20m7V/87a059f6e7 , this is how I believe this pattern should look like, also eliminates that pesky lonely k on the downbeat. Should also place a kat on 00:19:876 then and remove a kat from 00:20:352.
  6. 00:21:543 (2) - I believe this note doesn't really fit the rhythm profile here, however if you move it to 00:22:019 it sounds better if you ask me.
  7. 00:23:210 (2) - I am actually ok with this kat more or less, but I would suggest to remove 00:23:448 (1) then, because the rhythm here sounds weird with it. I would still prefer if it was a don though, much better.
  8. 00:25:114 (2) - This should probably be a don, even more if you accept the above suggestion. It feels and sounds much more natural that way especially since you are getting k d d x d x d d k then which is a somewhat nice standard pattern. Another reason is that the pattern 00:26:067 (1,2,1,2,1) sort of blends better because it's actually a d d k with just additional k d at the end.
  9. 00:27:972 (2,1,1,1,1) - Don't like this at all, there is not much in the music that would warrant such a pattern and this kinda makes me feel bad. I would remove 00:28:686 (1) and turn 00:27:972 (2) into a don, it's simple and it sounds the best.
  10. 00:28:924 (2) - Despite the flute, I believe don is better here cause the rhythm sounds weird otherwise.
  11. 00:30:829 - This is basically the "chorus", just that there is kiai missing, I guess Kite wanted the kiai for more special moments. However this means you can probably map it more intense where appropriate, currently the structure looks like a broken futsuu at the start here.
  12. 00:30:829 (3,1,1,2,1,1,1) - So yeah, because of the above this should probably get changed completely. I can see you're trying to follow the melody with the kats more, however when you hit the 5 note pattern I have no idea what's going on. This is because there should be a kat between 00:32:019 (2,1) and the final note of the triple should probably also be a kat. To illustrate better, this is how I believe the timeline would sound the best for the 2 measures this section starts on: http://puu.sh/20lFs/670b1771c0
  13. 00:34:638 (2,1,1,1,1,2,1,2,1,2,1) - I wouldn't recommend to focus so much on the melody here because you didn't map it fully and the pattern itself is a bit weird.   14. 00:37:972 (2,3) - To enrich the rhythm, these 2 could be kats, the first one actually should be a kat because of the rhythm anyway.
  15. 00:38:448 (1) - Instead of a finish, I would suggest a ddd triple. Sounds better as that's how the music goes.
  16. 00:40:352 (1) - Map a ddd here as well then.
  17. 00:41:305 (1,1,2,3,1) - This is much better as d k k k d because otherwise it's very inconsistent to the measure before and it breaks the rhythm.   18. 00:44:162 (1,2) - Consider having K K finishers here, melody is intense and without a good stream you can't express it that well, so K K would be best imo.
  19. 00:45:114 (2,3,4,5,6,7) - Don't like this because I feel the triple is misplaced, mostly because the repeat of the chorus starts with a kat. This rhythm is much more true to the music.

  1. What I didn't like: Too many whistles at the start which remove the possibilities for variety later on. Having an occasional whistle is better than a full rhythm at the start. Also, the whole diff is basically 1/1 spam with an occasional 1/2 repeater, I guess it's not that bad since it does fit the music but eh, just try to make it more interesting next time hehe.
  2. 00:25:114 (1) - You don't really need this new combo.
  3. 00:42:257 (5) - This one should be a new combo because the music changes.
  4. 01:47:019 - This finish is very difficult to hear.
  5. 02:06:067 (7) - New combo please.
  6. 02:22:733 (1) - This spinner is just wrong if you ask me, the most interesting part of the melody is here and you just spin. Also to make it worse, after this spinner the notes are VERY hard to notice not only because they are in dead center but they are red too. This makes this spinner too hard for a normal diff.
  7. 02:31:781 (6) - Not sure if the finish here is the right way to do it. Try 02:32:733 (1) instead if you want one, but I wouldn't use it.
  8. 02:35:591 (6) - ^, just remove imo.
[Easy]
  1. What I didn't like: The static rhythms made with whistles at the beginning and in the other verse. Pretty much that's it lol. I would maybe recommend OD +1 since the rhythm is so simple even OD3 makes it too easy to SS with mods.

  1. What I didn't like: The static rhythms made with whistles at the beginning and in the other verse. Pretty much that's it lol. I would maybe recommend OD +1 since the rhythm is so simple even OD3 makes it too easy to SS with mods.
Increased OD, not sure about the whistle rhythm
