Found out by accident on youtube. Proceeded to download and found out it has taiko, so I play that mainly 
music+clicking on circles=...perfect!!!

When I played it first, it was with a bunch of other people and my mouse was horrible. I was told to use the keyboard, but that didn't even help. The people had also chosen awful maps to play, which didn't really inspire me at all. This was back in 2008 and, no matter how many times I tried to play, I'd fail normals without fail.
Upon getting a better mouse in 2011 and being bored enough during a power cut to play some old crap, I started to get a pretty good feel for the game and was hooked from then on. I loved it.

i didn't know you were supposed to click and drag sliders (i thought you just clicked) and i kept getting bad scores and failing beatmaps and had no idea why. thankfully i realized what i was supposed to do like a month later.

Watched a live stream of some CTB so I downloaded it. Got good at CTB then realized that their was a "standard" mode to this. Tried it and got SS on some beatmaps. (I didn't play the tutorial. It just made sense to me.) And that's it!
I made an account in 2009 after beating Ouendan 2 on Hard. Stopped playing after about 10-20 tries because of my crappy wireless mouse, laggy old single-core PC, and my superior playing skills on DS.
Got an Android phone and downloaded osu!droid in 2011. Didn't play it much, and complained about lag when I did, so I didn't download very many songs (I think I only had 2). Then a year later, my phone decided to kill itself.
Summer last year, I went on vacation. I borrowed my dad's phone and put my phone's memory card in. I had music on the memory card, and was using the phone as an MP3 player. Then I discovered that the phone decided to search for music outside of the music folder. It found my osu!droid beatmaps folder, and this beatmap's mp3. I listened to it non-stop throughout the trip. Really badly wanted to play osu! at this point, so I downloaded it on my laptop when I got home and became addicted.
