Here guys.

This thread is for everyone that have played some stepmania, kbo or whatever, and actually are able to play the good stuff. (aka doesn't find big black to be hard at all in osu!mania)

Two misses is the keyword, gentlemen. Even if it's two words.

Have some staiain videos meanwhile.

Might as well make my first post here.

I'm pretty experienced with 4 key myself. I'm not anywhere near staiain's level though, but I would say I'm better than quite a few people when I put the time in. I might make some videos in the future, but right now I don't have any.

So here I am, 4 key stepman that has played ffr/stepmania for quite a bit of time reporting in.

I started playing FFR back in 2004 (yeah I'm an oldie

) and discovered stepmania about a year later. I played infrequently during that time until FFR went down in 2008 (I think?).

I stopped playing after that happened since I just had no desire to play. I moved on to other games in the meantime when I started college, so I had no time to arrow smash. I started playing again about 8 months ago and am better than I ever was during that time before FFR went down.

So to answer your question, I have been playing for a total of 4-5ish years on and off.

I figure this is the right place to ask.

When I played Stepmania, I would index with WASD and arrow keys, but I don't see a way to bind both of those keysets to buttons 1-4 at the same time on osu!mania.

Anyone know of a way?
Editing the config file doesn't work as far as I can tell.

i've had quite a lot of experience with stepmania and ffr, but nothing with more than 4 keys. After that, I'm basically fked. CAN'T DO IT GOD DAMNIT.

also i was a one handed person. I played everyhing on FFR and stepmania with one hand. using two hands is really weird for me.

This looks like it only lets you remaps the keys, since FFR doesn't let you remap AFAIK.

On topic, I've been playing FFR for 4 and a half years and SM for around 2. I'm not as good as Staiain, but I think I'm pretty good if I do say so myself :3? I'd make Osu!Mania vids, but I can only read upscroll, so until that's implemented.. rip

I also play FFR for the most part; it's probably going to take a very long time for me to adjust to osu!mania - if I even bother to >.<

Probably going to play osu!mania in a while haha. Pretty experienced in Stepmania/FFR (Played SM for around 2 and a half years, FFR for 1 year), nowhere near Staiain's level of course, but I feel that I'm decent at it. Like Zyph I'd make osu!mania vids as well, but there isn't any upscroll option :/

Oh well, might as well flip my monitor upside down rofl
